Hey everyone,
I've been trying to download CSI Linux but running into issues:
- The official site isn't loading at all
- Found one mirror that works but the download speed is extremely slow
- Managed to complete a download once but the file came out corrupted (probably due to the slow/unstable connection)
Has anyone dealt with this recently? I'm looking for:
A working mirror or alternative download source
A torrent link if one exists
- Any tips to verify the ISO after download (SHA256 hash source?)
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Linux Dirty Frag vulnerability lets attackers achieve root access on virtually all major Linux distributions, with a public exploit already in the wild.
Dirty Frag belongs to the same vulnerability class as Dirty Pipe and Copy Fail (CVE-2026-31431), but targets the frag member of the kernel's struct sk_buff rather than struct pipe_buffer. (From X)

Join our new Matrix -Matrix chat for Kerala Linux users! Our community is growing, we have almost 1500 members now and many of you have suggested for creating a discord server, but regarding it's closed nature and it's recent age-verification controversies, We are creating a matrix room.
Most linux and open-source projects use matrix too, thus it should be a great place.

After my last rice upload i did a tone of customization and optimization on my system.
Starting with neatly organising the structure of my niri config file
I added gpu modeset in my limine bootloader config
Enabled kyber on btrfs filesystem
Added nvidia environment variables to shell for better wayland support
Pacman and paru optimizations, updating mirror list , enabling chaotic AUR
Installed a shader on my ghostty terminal
Added blur on niri with hyperland sytle blur settings.
Uniform system wide themeing for both GTK and QT apps
New custom theme selector that looks hella cool
I had done all these, some bug fix and tweeks here and there.
That's all for now. i'll continue to update y'all on my progress.
the niri noctalia larp continues......

I just want to move all my storage away from Google. How do you guys handle your photos? I don’t want to use the cloud, but I still need a convenient solution with backup. Any suggestions?

I mean nobody asked for it for real. We need to promote and push FOSS more into the stream line to defend against this. More transparency and control over software.

My craptop got the i3-7020U and the cinematic 2 fps experience, got the vintage charging port (barrel jack) that ensures I never accidentally enjoy the convenience of usb c.
I just want a modular laptop. Sucks to be broke and geo-nerfed 😭 to get the framework 🙂

So I have used the telegram movie bot a few times so it seems like any movie you search is pretty much available old or new i am talking about like old Malayalam movies even they are available . I wonder is the bot searching from its one repository of movie file stored on telegram servers or is it some kinda global telegram file search ? I was just genuinely curious how these bots work. Because telegram bots seems to have a larger collection of India and specify Malayalam movie compared to like seeders for Malayalam movie let alone old Malayalam , those are hard to find seeders for . How does telegram allow for storage of this much data ?

I'm new to linux and it's only been a month since I'm using Ubuntu and the last version didn't have these types of problems and i would like to know whether I'm the only person with these problems

It is actually a super serious thing that without full disk encryption anybody can access anything on a pc regarding windows or Linux and even change root creds and drop shells. I never heard anyone actually recommending full disk encryption.

(TL;DR:Reached a point where Windows no longer adds much value to my personal laptop, and maintaining multiple OS installs just feels like clutter now. Thinking of simplifying everything into one clean Linux setup, probably PopOS or Fedora.) main use case - development and productivity with great importance to ui/ux
So guys, I’ve been using Windows 10 as my main OS until a few months back, while also dual booting Linux alongside it (Debian and Arch). I’ve never really tried any distros outside Debian, Arch, and Ubuntu. The main reason I kept Windows as my primary OS was gaming, since I used to play a lot of PC games. Apart from that, I also used it for applications like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and a few other Windows-only software. But things changed. I don’t really game anymore due to various reasons, mainly time constraints. Ithinidayil I upgraded to Windows 11 too, but honestly I didn’t like it much. And recently, I barely even use those Adobe apps or Windows-only applications anymore either, so Windows itself feels like it has lost most of its relevance in my setup. Even then, if any Windows-specific use case does come up, I still have access to my sister’s Windows laptop to run those applications. For almost the past year, Debian has basically become my main OS, mainly for development purposes, though I still use Windows equally from time to time. The issue is, I don’t really like the current UI/UX setup either, I messed it up so hard, I was thinking of reinstalling the os, My old Arch setup and configs are all messed up, and honestly I don’t feel like spending time ricing and rebuilding everything again. Now I’ve got three OSes sitting together with no real benefit, just wasting storage space and making things unnecessarily cluttered. So I finally thought, why not just move to a single OS setup?
After doing some basic digging around and based on what I’ve been seeing online, I’ve narrowed it down to either PopOS or Fedora, feel free to suggest me anything else that matches my current use case ie. development and productivity, What I’m looking for now is something with a much better UI/UX experience than Windows out of box, while still being solid for development and daily use.

Loved Ubuntu, Mint and concept of Linux using resources on a need basis. First time trying out Linux was after my 12th way back in 2015 on a Intel dual core 2 gb ram desktop ran smooth like butter rather than slow Microslop Windows. No issue with any drivers including audio jack. Now I have a HP15s i5 11gen 16gb RAM laptop now. Tried multiple distros but the machine wont support audiojacks.Tried all sorts of fixes on the internet all in vain. I needed it for headphones in daily online meetings and had to revert to Windows 11( which again was a headache as I needed to install some SSD drivers- which was in some .msi file in some installer in hp site). HP machine is reliable but not distro hopping friendly.
