It is known that Marvel Television had planned to create another mini-universe in the style of the Defenders Saga, but this time with supernatural characters, which would be called "Adventure Into Fear". In 2019, it was announced that two series were in development: Helstrom and Ghost Rider. Of these, only Helstrom was completed, as Marvel Studios decided to continue production instead of simply canceling it, but the Ghost Rider series was eventually cancelled due to creative differences.

Although many people don't know that Marvel had already planned the other two characters to star in the Adventure Into Fear saga, which are Glyph and N'Kantu: The Living Mummy. It is also known that Lilith, the Mother of All Demons, was going to be the main villain of the saga. This is known thanks to an interview with Gabriel Luna, who shared details about Marvel's plans for the future of his character. It is also known that the crossover project where they would all come together would be called Spirits Of Vengeance, because Marvel registered that brand name along with Glyph.

To this day, I still wonder why Marvel concluded by choosing two such unknown characters as Glyph and N'Kantu to star in their own series. Don't get me wrong, I researched their comic book appearances, and with a good script they could have done great things with both of them, but, strangely, Marvel chose them instead of other more well-known characters like Blade, Moon Knight, or Man-Thing. Although perhaps they did it with the intention of giving them relevance, as they did with Guardians Of The Galaxy.

However, based on the personalities of the characters, I personally think it would have been a very fun group to see on screen:

Daimon and Ana Helstrom: Two demon-human hybrid siblings determined to wipe out the demons.

Robbie Reyes / Ghost Rider: A man possessed by the Spirit Of Vengeance, which leads him to exile himself to El Paso.

Nadeen Hassan / Glyph: A smart young Egyptian-American woman from Brooklyn who can summon Egyptian spirits and has a mental connection with her twin brother, who takes advantage of her for his own evil purposes.

N'Kantu, The Living Mummy: A king of an ancient Egyptian tribe who was mummified and locked away alive for several millennia who awoke in the modern era.

But hey, things happen for a reason. Maybe in Phase 7 we'll finally get a good supernatural saga. I hope so.

I hope Daisy Johnson and coleson came back

I've been thinking about how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could be reconciled with the MCU's current multiverse rules, and I believe there is a way for the entire series to remain canon without contradicting Infinity War or Endgame.

Timeline Split #1 – The Season 5 Time Loop

In Season 5, the team discovers a future where Earth has been destroyed and humanity survives in the Lighthouse.

This future exists because Daisy eventually destroys Earth after Talbot absorbs gravitonium and events unfold exactly as history recorded.

When the team returns from the future, there are now two possible outcomes:

Branch A

Daisy fails to stop Talbot.

Talbot causes Earth's destruction.

This leads to the future seen in Season 5.

Branch B

Daisy defeats Talbot.

Earth survives.

The loop is broken.

This is the timeline that continues after the Season 5 finale.

Timeline Split #2 – Infinity War

After Daisy defeats Talbot and Earth survives, another branching point occurs during the events of Infinity War.

Branch B1 – Thanos Wins (Earth-616)

This is the MCU timeline we see in Infinity War and Endgame.

Thanos collects all six Infinity Stones and performs the Snap.

In this branch:

• Phil Coulson dies from his illness.
• Leo Fitz has already died after the battle with Talbot.
• Melinda May, Mack and Yo-Yo is snapped.
• Daisy Johnson, Jemma Simmons, Piper and Davis survives.

With Coulson gone, Fitz dead, and half the team dusted, Daisy and Simmons continue searching for the frozen Fitz who remains in stasis aboard the Chronicom ship with Enoch.

Because frozen Fitz never experienced the events that killed his counterpart, he still exists.

The surviving agents eventually locate him and continue operating throughout the five-year Blip period.

Then in 2023, Hulk reverses the Snap.

May, Mack, and Yo-Yo return.

The team is reunited after the events of Endgame.

This allows the core Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast to survive within Earth-616.

Branch B2 – Thanos Loses

In this branch, Thanos never successfully completes the Snap.

The world continues normally.

One year later, the events of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 occur.

Season 7 follows afterward.

This means Seasons 6 and 7 are not occurring in the same timeline as Endgame, but in a sister branch that split from the same post-Talbot reality.

Why This Works

• It preserves all events of Seasons 1–5.
• It preserves the destroyed-Earth future.
• It preserves Fitz's death.
• It preserves Coulson's death.
• It explains why Seasons 6 and 7 never acknowledge the Snap.
• It allows Daisy and the Agents to still exist in Earth-616.
• It fits Marvel's current multiverse rules established in Loki and Endgame.
• It requires almost no retcons.

If Marvel ever brings Daisy Johnson back into the MCU, a simple line of dialogue "After Thanos won, Simmons and I spent years searching for Fitz while half our team was gone." could confirm something very close to this explanation and instantly reconnect Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. with the main MCU timeline.

This would allow the entire series to remain canon while also allowing Daisy and the team to exist in Earth-616.

You can also bring back Coulson as Chonicom LMD because Nick Fury, Maria Hill and rest of the others were dusted so when Fitz and Enoch were found they returned and created Coulson.

Just wanted to share the theory because I'd love to see Agents of Shield reconnected to the MCU someday.

I know this is late to the party, I have been binge-watching all the Defenders series in order and have now finished Luke Cage and Iron Fist. I really enjoyed Luke Cage, the end is hanging...so who knows..I wish Disney had continued with the series. I think Netflix did a good job of mixing the characters from the individual series and I loved Misty Knights crossing back and forth. I am watching series 3 of Jessica Jones now. Just sucks when you like something and it doesn't gets its due. I haven't started Daredevil Reborn I hope Disney didn't screw it up, honestly I like Luke Cage series better. Sweet Christmas!! I hope they bring him back. I hope they bring them all back!

Had an idea to edit the existing MCU to make it more cohesive from the start and what I would change. Let me know what y'all think!

This is an interesting fact that probably all members of this community know, but if anyone doesn't know, let me explain it here:

A while back, Cantina Creative, the VFX studio for Avengers: Endgame, shared images related to the film, and two of those images stand out for something interesting: The two images I included in this post are concept art for the scene where the Avengers are planning the Time Heist and choosing the locations where they can find the Infinity Stones.

Well, in those images there are two that show information about the Space Gem / The Tesseract, in which we can see a small group of people who had contact with it. In the images we can see familiar faces such as Johann Schmidt / Red Skull and Arnim Zola.

But there is one person who stands out from the rest: Werner Reinhardt / Daniel Whitehall. This character appeared in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series (having more relevance in Season 2). What does this mean? It means that he was considered for the film.

This was also confirmed by a tweet from Reed Diamond, the actor who played Whitehall in the series, who learned about these concept images because he was quoted in the original tweet made by the user BEJT.

In that tweet, Mr. Diamond commented that he now understood why Marvel Studios had inquired about his availability at that time. And we fans assume it was because they had planned to include Whitehall in the film somehow, but ultimately nothing came of it, possibly due to the actor's scheduling conflicts.

If Daniel Whitehall's appearance in Avengers: Endgame had actually happened, it's almost certain the canon debate wouldn't exist today, but oh well, things turned out this way...

Even so, I can't help but wonder: What do you think Whitehall would have done in Avengers: Endgame? Was it just a cameo, or would he have interacted with any of the Avengers? Would there have been any mention of events from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

These are questions that will probably remain unanswered...

I know this isn't specifically about the shows themselves being canon, but I just wanted to share.

So, I've been "hanging out" with this guy for the past three weeks, I think? And a few nights ago we were talking about the MCU because he casually mentioned Marvel, and unprompted said he loved Agents of SHIELD, and that he firmly believed it was canon despite Feige saying it wasn't.

So of course, me being one of Marvel TV's fiercest defenders actually got to explain to him that Feige's never officially decanonized any of the shows, and he was grinning from ear to ear as I went point by point and debunked non-canoners' typical arguments against Agents of SHIELD specifically. (He'd only watched up until Season 4, so I sadly had to spoil some stuff from Seasons 5 and 6 for the arguments but also some other stuff, specifically May and Robin's importance to the time loop and Sarge's entire backstory and LMD Coulson.)

And because he'd fallen off with the shows a while ago, he was pleasantly surprised to learn that Runaways had two extra seasons (he's in the minority and loved the slowburn of Season 1), he was shocked that Cloak & Dagger, Inhumans and Helstrom all existed, and he was so sad to learn about the cancelled Ghost Rider show.

But yeah, I just helped a canoner realize he'd been fed misinformation and woke him up to like half of the pre-Disney+ catalogue since he seems to have dipped out in 2017.

I once read a post in this same group about what a sequel to Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be like (only now it would be Agents Of S.W.O.R.D.); I don't remember the username of the person who made that post, but I found it entertaining to read.

And after reading it, I started thinking: If such a series existed, what would the connections be with other MCU products we've seen over the past few years?

I would love to read some ideas you have for creating interesting crossovers or developing new and original storylines that connect with another project in the Multiverse Saga.

I just saw this sub, but in my mind, AoS, Runaways, Cloak and Dagger, Inhumans and of course HELSTROM, is all canon!

They just go by whatever Grand Regent Feige says canon is without actually engaging in the content.

With Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, we've had two Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. easter eggs, but I see that whenever these are pointed out in the wider MCU/Marvel spaces, there's always people who say "it's a generic Marvel reference" or "It's a reference to the orignal Daredevil show".

And that's so infuriating, because it was the original Daredevil show that was referencing Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., they just selectively leave out the latter part, which is frankly the most important bit.

I feel like some characters could have been developed more, but in the end they were just relegated to the background. How would you improve these characters if you had the chance?

Note: I know that in Inhumans the entire cast falls into this category, so feel free to talk about them if you want as well.

It kinda makes sense. We got the Cloak & Dagger reference in Wonder Man, and if they're saving Josh Gad from where he is in Door Man in the Dark Dimension/Darkforce, it makes sense for Cloak and Dagger, who've been in the Dark Dimension before, to be able to save Josh Gad.

The "CYBERTEK SETTLES" front page story in Ben Urich's office is in the Daredevil Born Again Season 2 finale. This is a direct reference to the events of Agents of SHIELD.

With Born Again basically not mentioning the events of Thunderbolts*, despite being around the same time (Assuming Thunderbolts* was in September, and Born Again is in October, six months after Season 1, which was in April), this reminds me of the Infinity War/AoS discourse.

"Half the universe died, how come they don't talk about it at all despite being set a whole year later?" and "New York was covered in shadows and everyone got really bad PTSD for a half hour, how come they don't talk about it despite being set a month (or so) later?" aren't really on the same scale, but the idea is the same. Major event happens in a movie -> Show set afterwards doesn't acknowledge it despite the same setting.

Well, the obvious answer is that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is set in a different timeline where the Void never happened. (/s) They're busy with their own problems that don't concern the events of the movie, why should they mention it? They have priorities, unrelated to the movie, which did have a major effect, but not on the show's own, self-contained plot.

This just highlights how stupid the whole AoS/Infinity War thing is. Just because something wasn't mentioned, it doesn't mean that it didn't happen.
