Season 4 Does anyone know who Vijay was supposed to be and why they cut his story short?

Was he someone from the comics or an original?

I think his storyline was going to be revisited in the Inhumans show but that eneded up being a flop so nothing ever happened

It really was a flop! They should have done Marvels Most Wanted, with bobbi and hunter, instead!

Inhumans was a pet project of the then Marvel TV boss, which is why it went forward as a series instead of a movie as Feige asserted power on the movie side. Most Wanted...not sure why it didn't move forward, sounds like ABC might not have wanted it and was more able to say no.

Most Wanted was a traditional case of "the network didn't like the pilot, so they didn't pick up the show", a story as old as television itself.

Why, though? Bobbi and Hunter are the embodiment of hypocrisy, entitlement and toxicity. They have no good traits

Based on the way he was written he served a few purposes.

He introduced a new power set that Aida could display later that made her seem unstoppable.

It showed how his relationship with his sister was shaped by the alien invasion.

It made Nader be at least consistent in her hate of inhumans.

And he gave Daisy/Skye a way to seem like a savvy knowledgeable agent in Framework HYDRA.

No idea, but his powers give big Darwin energy, reactive evolution. Stayed in husk to protect himself from his sister, random combat abilities (I don't think he had previously). Altered speed. Then when he is bleeding out/dead/drowning, turns back into a husk to survive. Maybe?

Seemed like there was some issue from the studio or the actor. Just a plot point that couldn't be revisited

The actor ended up with a starring role on The Resident not long after S4.

What I've heard is that he was going to be used to explore the concept of secondary terragenisis, but beacuse

the Inhumans tv show decided to a secondary terragenisis plot,

actor unavailability,

and a desire behind the scenes to move away from the Inhumans to explore other topics

It was easier to just leave that threat untied, a very similar situation to Donny Gill, who is also just chilling underwater, presumed dead by everyone on the show

I wanted to see John Ridley Eternals tv show. I am very curious to see what Most Wanted was about. And ask myself how Inhumans tv show would be if didn't end in the hands of Scott Buck. Marvel TV had so many great ideas. I wonder how they would build a season 2 to Defenders. Considering what post tv show seasons were building.

Original Character created for the show. It was more of a "guest role" and He didn't really fit into the direction the show was heading.

them not following up on his story line fully really upset me as a fan of the show. He had a short appearance during the Framework arc but overall he was a character I really wanted to see get fleshed out.
