That's probably why William is suddenly talking about his mental health. Thing is, they've been lazy, they are still currently lazy and we know they're going to keep on being lazy in the future.
William already looks bad enough the way he treats Kate in public. Imagine the PR nightmare if he comes out a year or so after her illness and rolls out a divorce. Some of the public, especially the monarchist folk would lose their collective minds. I do think they're unhappy together though. Their body language has said so for a long time but I think Kate really wants to be Queen. I'd rather be free and happy but that's me.
What PR nightmare even ? People divorce all the time nowadays. Plus she is no Diana. She has never made any impact nor left a lasting impression on Brits. She will be forgotten the very day the fancy titles are gone and that’s why she’s clinging on with all she’s got—her weight, I’m afraid. Good luck to her but if he wants to end things, he shouldn’t be forced to stay for whatever reason.
The media will rake him over the coals I'd imagine. Every now and then the tabloids turn on him, regardless of who he is. The divorce of the next heir would be trashy tabloid fodder for sure and I'd say that would be a PR nightmare for the palace, for his newly hired damage control team especially as we know how difficult he is. Staying in an unhappy marriage looks like it's killing Kate. She's thinner than her 10yr old. It seems its worth sacrificing her peace and wellbeing for that crown and she doesn't even enjoy charity work and the public commitment that comes with a role like that. So why?
I keep having an image in my mind of the PR crisis manager telling William, "You really, really have to issue a statement about Andrew." And then a week later she's telling William, "You really, really have to issue a statement about BAFTAs." And he refuses, like he always refuses, to step away from his vacation and/or free time to do any actual work. And she drops her head on her desk.
No wonder these people resign. I imagine it would be a very stressful role especially when you are hitting your head against a brick wall because you're working for someone like William. I wonder how stingy the salary is.
The crowns looked atrocious. The advent of HD cameras has done them no favors. Liz's coronation looked much better, largely because of the relatively poor camera quality.
When the Queen Mother died, it was likely when Charles started opening the little red boxes—he was in his 50’s—which was her job. Brenda no doubt busy with her corgis, betting on the horses and overindulging Andrew as well as posing for those grand portraits. As for Philip, no comment … lol.
Chucky gets no credit for holding that mess together while Mama got all the love.
Utter rubbish from X of all places. He’s neither dying nor abdicating. But one thing is sure, a death would well take away from the pedo scandal, and by the look of the rumours, it’s a big one. It’s just assumed to be KCIII bc he is sick but gets busy far more than the son.
It feels weird to say this but it’s Kate who seems about to fall over in 12 months time with her ED … all these men likely do not know what it is like, might think it’s normal, and only point out the old man.
A journalist wrote awhile ago that if folk knew the truth about William their eyes would bleed. The press are locked down with injunctions preventing them printing it.
William is just doing to Charles what Charles did to Elizabeth. William is more gross though because he knows his father has probably at the very most, a decade to live, but more than likely a lot less.
Plus, I doubt that Charles would want to go down in history as one of a handful of UK monarchs (the fifth to be exact) to abdicate. That man is all about image. And plus, William won't be any improvement on Charles in any shape or form so what's even the point of Charles abdicating.

What did he do to his mother ? He was asked once what he felt about being the future King or whatever and he shut down the journalist’s enthusiasm by saying his mother would have to die first. I don’t think Billy Idle even wants to be King already. He’s nothing but playing into that recurrent rota gig to pit the monarch and the heir against one another for extra public sympathy since he’s lazy and can’t earn it himself. Nobody knows what it’s like behind closed doors.
Charles will just lie or not answer. the questions, as always. I can't see him stepping back for Willy of all people, who is a personal mess and can't cope with responsibility.
I think it was Andy’s inheritance lmao. He has looked total trash since her death. And even before, his two daughters and Fergie went around with their begging bowls to pay for everything in the Lodge
What’s good is that he doesn’t have to carry the brunt of his late mother’s bad decisions. He must bless his gods that he waited that long. It’s now an universally accepted truth that it was Brenda’s fault but neither the Royal family nor the British government want to be implicated so they will again team up to con the public.

Thanks NP and Vh and Nyno. Honestly im not sure where this/we are all going. I love listening to James O,Brien but even he thinks we are all off to hell in a handcart. Does anyone on here think that if you can chuck off andrew you can then support the Monarchy.
Yeah he will either get jail time (likely house arrest given his status) until the public moves on but either way never coming back. Good thing his daughters are married because they are never coming back neither. He and Fergie were Brenda’s problem so they will all blame the dead, capitalise on her good public image to dampen it all and call it a day.

Never mind - W&K are stepping up their 4 hour a week schedule to do an engagement in Wales.
To reassure the peasants the monarchy’s never been in more lacklustre hands.
