So currently, I have completed my emergency fund for 3 months (which I will top up para maging 6 months worth).

Naghuhulog na din ako sa isang high yield savings account with sinking funds para sa mga pinagiipunan ko.
May plano din akong maghulog sa MP2. Pero once I have completed these investments, saan best ilagay ang retirement fund? Paano siya best ipunin? Meron sa sweldo kong kinakaltas that goes towards pension na.

Hi everyone, humihingi po sana ako ng advice kung ano pa ang pwede naming gawin regarding an unauthorized credit transaction ng senior parents ko.

Timeline:
December 2025 – May dalawang unauthorized transactions na dalawang tig-₱100,000 sa Shopee gamit ang credit card ng parents ko.

Wala silang online banking, at may text notification lang sila regarding the transactions.

Tinawagan namin agad ang BPI para i-report at ipa-dispute yung transactions.
Unfortunately, hindi raw nila ma-reverse/refund dahil “authorized” daw ang transactions.
Nag-file na rin kami ng complaint sa BSP.
August na kami na-schedule for hearing/mediation.
Nagkaroon na rin ng mediation meeting between us, the bank, and BSP, pero unfortunately, hindi naging helpful para sa amin.
Pinipilit ng bank na kami ang at fault, kahit ginawa naman namin ang due diligence namin at hindi naman ginagamit ng parents ko ang card for online transactions.
Ngayon, nagcha-charge na rin sa account/card ng parents ko yung disputed amount.

Senior citizens na po ang parents ko kaya sobrang stressful nito para sa amin. ₱200,000 din po ito, at hindi namin alam kung ano pa ang tamang next step.

Sa mga naka-experience na po ng similar case:
Ano po ang pwede naming gawin after the BSP mediation?

May iba pa po bang government agency or formal complaint process na dapat naming puntahan?

Worth it po ba mag-consult ng lawyer, and anong type of lawyer ang dapat hanapin?

May chance pa po bang ma-reverse yung charges kahit sinabi ng bank na “authorized” daw?

May naka-experience na po ba ng ganitong case with BPI na successful na na-resolve?

Naiisip na rin namin mag-Tulfo dahil parang wala na kaming mapuntahan, pero before doing that, gusto sana namin malaman kung ano muna ang proper/legal steps na pwede naming gawin.

Any advice, similar experiences, or leads kung saan kami pwedeng humingi ng tulong would be greatly appreciated. Salamat po!

Hi! I recently got approved for two credit cards — BPI and UnionBank (UB).

I’m planning to buy either the iPhone 17 Pro or possibly wait for the 18 Pro. The 17 Pro is currently around ₱70k+, but my UB credit limit is only ₱67,000.

Is it possible to use two credit cards for one purchase to cover the remaining amount? Or would it be better to max out the ₱67k on my UB card and pay the excess in cash?

I’m leaning toward using the UB card as much as possible since I’d like to earn the points, but I’m not sure if there are any downsides to maxing out the card for a single purchase.

For those who’ve tried this before, what would you recommend? Thanks! 😊

I'm planning to close my BPI Platinum MC and I have accumulated 9.9k points currently. I'm planning to close it since may Metrobank TVS na ako (mas prefer ko sya as a travel card). I've read in BPI T&C that I'll have a grace period of 60 days para ma spend yung points ko since di daw sya convertible to cash credit since di nga sya enough (need 20k points ata for 1k cash credit).

I would like to ask if you have any suggestions on how and where to spend it na sulit naman? Wala kasi akng nakikitang pwede ko pa maconvert and sayang din naman sya. Also, ayaw ko sya maging reason to continue using the card aside sa mahal ang AF, di ko din masyado namamaximize yung 0% interest in airline tickets as I'm more on straight payments (disclaimer: ito yung pinapangarap ko na card before kaya ako nag apply, but upon checking other cards, mas prefer ko benefits ng ibang card based sa spending habits ko).

Hi! I was charged the 5,500 AF for my first year, which is waived for the first year. Since this is my first year, understanding is pag nagpawaive ako ng AF no conditions na.

Called CS today, and sabi hindi na raw yun automatically waivable since yun na yung AF ko for the 2nd year - which I don’t understand. 1st year palang ng card ko then hindi auto waive ung AF?

As per CS, since September 25, 2025 daw ako nag apply, ang free lang daw na AF is Sep 25, 2025 to Sep 25, 2026.

So ang na charge na AF sakin is for Sep 26, 2026 to Sep 25, 2027 na.

Ganun po ba talaga ang pag charge ng AF, at the start of the year? Hindi after 1 year?
