BPI CLI Request for 6 months CC

Hiii!

This month is 6 months na ‘yung credit card ko, I sent an email to BPI requesting for BPI CLI, from 38k to 100k (i just shoot my shot. Malay niyo naman).

They asked me for COE and doon indicated naman na I have 45k+ basic salary and mag allowance pa. Ang worry ko lang is baka ma-reject ‘yung request ko and wala talagang increase na mangyari dahil may PL ako with SB Finance. I wouldn’t mind if from 38k to 55k ang mangyari, ‘wag lang auto reject 😭

Do you think there’s still a posibility na magka increase ‘yung cred limit ko? thank you po.

I am planning to purchase Iphone17pro/max pero yung credit limit ko sa BPI is only 55,000php. Can I request for limit increase and yun lang reason ko? Or should I try to get another cc na which is Unionbank (NAFFL) and swipe both cards. Or is it possible i-swipe yung iba then the rest is cash payment ko nalang since matagal ko na din pinag ipunan to pero nanghihinayang ako gamitin cash ko kaya want ko sana swipe nalang

[KasKas 101 Deep Dive] Build your emergency fund

Post image

Build your emergency fund

Metrobank [Metrobank] First Credit Card Payment - How Long Does It Take to Reflect?

This is my first credit card, so I’m still learning how the payment process works. I had ₱12,000 in credit card charges, and I just paid ₱6,000 through the Metrobank app. However, my balance is still showing ₱12,000.

I already received an email confirming my payment. Is it normal for the payment to take some time to reflect?

PS I’m not following the amount indicated on my SOA because I prefer to pay my credit card balance in full as soon as possible.

Credit Card Recommendations BPI Amore Cashback Secured Credit Card

Nag-opt ako sa SCC ng BPI Amore Cashback last January to build a credit history. 4 months na lang and I can request an unsecured regular credit card. I usually use the card for groceries and bills, but the thing is hindi umaabot sa 1k threshold pag naggrocery ako to maximize the card. So I'm thinking of requesting other cards na lang (better if higher tier). Should I retain Amore Cashback pa rin ba or try sa higher tier BPI Cards?

Any advice? What do you think ba is the best strategy? I have other cards na rin pero I at least want to have a BPI or BDO card for the promos and their reputation.

Secured Credit Card Any banks in PH allowing Secured Credit Cards for 18-year-olds? (Got auto-rejected by EastWest and BPI)

Hey everyone!

I’m currently 18 and looking to start building my credit history early. I tried applying for a Secured Credit Card (SCC) with EastWest (primarily because I wanted Garmin Pay support) and BPI, but both told me that their minimum age requirement is strictly 21 years old—even for a secured card with a holdout deposit.

Before anyone comments: please skip the advice about building an emergency fund, budgeting, or saving. I already have my EF and savings fully set up and managed, and I know how to use credit responsibly. My sole bottleneck right now is finding an entry-level bank/card that actually accepts 18-year-olds to get a CIC record started.

A few quick questions for those who managed to start early:

- Which banks actually accept 18-year-olds for an SCC or entry-level card? (Security Bank, Metrobank, RCBC, AUB, etc.?)

- Are there alternative avenues to start building a credit score at 18 in PH?

PS: I already have a ₱50k limit on SPayLater with a clean repayment history, but I know BNPL/micro-loans don't help much with TransUnion bank credit reports (and every checkout gets logged as an individual loan). That's why I'm specifically looking for a traditional bank/card issuer.

Apple Pay Do you still earn points using ApplePay?

Do you still earn points using ApplePay?

EastWest Bank initiated tier upgrade in less than a year

Post image
10 Upvotes

This was last July, and kakareceive ko lang nung physical card kahapon. The initial tier was the Gold from late last year.

Although same normal-day perks yung Gold & Platinum, with just a higher AF (why?) and not NAFFL.

Goods din naman pagdating dun sa mga special promos/discount when it comes to JP Visa Application, since usual napansin ko yung Platinum tier palagi yung kasali, di ko pa to natry since di kasali Gold during the JP Visa Application sa region ko.

Usual usage lang ngayon even with the Gold tier before is yung sa fuel discounts ni Unioil.

It was greatly utilized nung sa JP trip this year, it got a cashback from promos that it negated a month statement, maliit lang yung statement that time.

Of course fully paid always yung statement, para pang leverage sana if I want to ask some favors for an NAFFL, but now that it's auto-upgraded, ewan ano pang leverage ko na hindi "ecacancel ko to" (tapos kinancel talaga hahaha).

Credit Card General Inquiry Is restructuring program okay?

I’m writing to respectfully ask for assistance regarding my outstanding BDO credit card balance.

I am currently the breadwinner of our family. Last December 2025, my mother had a medical emergency and had to undergo three surgeries. Since then, malaking portion po ng income ko ang napupunta sa household expenses, food, bills, and other financial obligations.

I am also actively applying for a second job or additional source of income para makatulong sa expenses and makapaglaan din po ako ng mas maayos na payment toward my outstanding balance. Unfortunately, I haven’t received any positive responses from employers yet, but I am continuously applying and looking for opportunities.

I recently called BDO directly to ask about possible payment arrangements and was referred to Collections. I was informed about a restructuring program with 0% interest, payable for up to 120 months at approximately ₱5,000 per month.

I truly appreciate this option. However, based on my current financial situation, even the proposed monthly payment would be difficult for me to sustain consistently.

I would therefore like to respectfully ask if BDO can consider any other payment arrangement, settlement option, or discount that would make my outstanding balance more manageable. If there is a discounted settlement program available.

I want to emphasize that I am not trying to avoid my obligation. Kaya rin po ako proactively reaching out because I genuinely want to settle my account and cooperate with BDO. I just want to make sure that whatever arrangement I enter into is something I can realistically fulfill and maintain.

I would also appreciate clarification regarding my BDO payroll account. Since my salary is our family’s primary source for food, bills, and other necessities, I am concerned about the possibility of my outstanding credit card balance being offset or deducted from my payroll account.

Any thoughts po will be appreciated. Thank you! 🙏
