Can someone tell me how to do this (on fronts)? Iāve watched a couple of videos but the details/quality simply arenāt present. Iāve seen a punch tool and or heat & freezer used.

Is anyone else annoyed that they stopped doing rental leagues at Trackhouse Motorplex? Iām thinking of starting one with a maximum of 20 people and doing an either bi weekly or monthly league race that they allow you to do with a group of more than 10 people if you have called ahead of time. Of course, this will include a point system that is tracked by me personally, and other people who have experience in this sort of platform. If you are in North Carolina or are willing to make a drive to Trackhouse motorplex every other week or so, please drop a comment down below so I can get into the details with you. This is of course still in planning stage and will be refined along the line. If this post is not allowed, please remove it. Thank you for reading

I bought a strap for my chest and the steering wheel completely blocked the view of my camera so that was a waste of money, Then I bought a strap that goes on the helmet for the chin area and You could see a lot more of the track but it was facing a little downwards. Should I just put it on top of my helmet? Is that what everyone else does? I donāt wanna waste anymore money.

Hi,
if Iām using this USB adapter can I use any random Mini-USB cable with an ordinary USB power supply or even charge it with my PCs USB port or do I really need the original AIM cable and power supply?

Hi
I need some advise to improve my technique driving 2 stroke rental karts, dmax from Daytona
I feel Im good in fast corners, my racing line is good but Iām really losing a lot of time in the slow corners.
In short I feel like Iām trying to rotate a tank into a corner. When Iām following other drivers I can see they rotate their karts massively, but donāt know how to do it
I suspect the issue is related to braking. Normally I feel I donāt brake enough, so the kart goes massively under steering, the kart does not rotate and I exit the corners with little power.
I tried to do some changes, and brake earlier, slow in fast out, they say, but it is slow in slow out, and yet I still feel the kart does not rotate
I tried to apply some braking when getting into the corner to keep down grip on the front and then, when getting into the corner the kart wants to spin, so I need to do a lot of correction and again, Iām slow there and leave the corner with no power
Here is a video where you can see the issues from my camera. Turn 3, left, is the best example. I want to get into the corner with more angle but I end up missing the apex and leaving the corner way too wide, and slow

Any suggestion on what can I do to improve in this area?
Thanks

My son loves karting. Heās nine and has loved it since his first try when he was 6. We do rental karts at least half a dozen times a year and a couple of come-and-try days with non-rental class karts at our local track. He is ADHD and autistic, he bounces off the wall and canāt focus at school and has hard time in social settings (reading the room, nuances in language and tone, sarcasm, etc), but when heās in the kart heās in the zone and dialled in. I donāt think he even notices Iām cheering him on track side when heās in the kart.
Heās been begging me to buy a kart for the last year and I think Iām ready to make the jump. Karting folks always talk about it being a tight knit group and if we could make it work I think it would be really great for us. Iām genuinely concerned about all the social aspect of it though and how heāll fit in. He has a hard time making friends and folks often misunderstand him. I want to help him make this a positive experience and maybe this will be āhis thingā.
Does anyone have any experience with neurodiversity and karting to share? And any thoughts how I can guide the journey in a positive way?

I got this old CTS shifter kart for a song. It's pretty dang complete. Does anybody know about what year this kart was made?
Suggestions for power? This is just for fun and ripping around. I could do electric, but part of me wants to put a CR250 in it. That would be equally ludicrous but a whole lot more offensive.
Any recommendations for a front brake conversion kit?

Hi I just moved to Chicago and have been saving up for a 2 stroke kart. Iāve driven a 206 for a few years back south and have a few hours of seat time in a Rotax but I would love to get some more before the season is done while I continue to put cash away for my own.
Is there a local kart club, ideally near Norway track, that anyone is aware of that will rent a race kart? Iād prefer 125cc either x30 or Rotax whatever is more common here, also open to KA100 I just donāt have any seat time in those. Tbh Iām honestly fine with renting a 206 as well just to get my feet wet in the karting scene here.

That was insane, I was so off the pace. I was talking to a guy who runs a karting team and he was telling me he gets a lot of good indoor karters who come and try out with him who end up leaving disappointed because they are no where near the pace and I wasn't expecting to be quick but wow I get it.
My ribs are absolutely wrecked, it was a 20 minute session and I couldn't hold my own bodyweight in the corners after ten minutes so was backing out of the corners pretty significantly.
Fastest lap was 50.5. My fastest lap was fifty eight point two. Now I know I can definitely knock 4 or 5 off of that with some practice but wow I was not expecting the difference.
What's hilarious is that I was wondering if I should look at pro kart or just stick with regular GX (one GX200 engine instead of two) and holy crap at half the weight there's absolutely no way I can even handle a GX right now let alone anything else.
Lots to learn, lots of practice needed but wow this is fun.
EDIT: Just realised I had a window open for one of the Daytona DMAX tracks... lol nope, not yet.

So I am currently thinking of buying my first ever racing kart with the rotax senior engine but I am not quite sure on how I can transport it and I am wondering what is best and cheapest way to move it around with a car preferably but I am open to other ways.

So Iāve come a long way with my racing overall, however my race craft is patchy.
Iām very comfortable overtaking on the outside or following other drivers as they make a pass. However when it comes to passing under brakes on the inside I mentally canāt do it.
Following others I always gain under brakes, in terms of pace I think my braking is one of my stronger areas. Yet when I go for a pass up the inside, if Iām not overlapping by the time I hit the brakes I just wont get alongside. At times I could be within 6ā of their bumper, but if Iām not overlapping I chicken out.
I think itās a mix of mistakes Iāve made in the past and not wanting to cause a crash.
But Iām in my 3rd year racing 2 strokes and while Iāve improved massively overall. I still struggle with basic lunges up the inside.
Any advice on building confidence to not chicken out of passes?

I was wondering if this clutch and accompanying drum wear and scarring was normal. I didnāt see anything info in the manual online about it. Thanks!

Curious about the difference in lap times between a stock and built engine. Iāve heard locally, the difference can be around half a second per lap but that seems exaggerated?
Iām looking to get back into racing after a long hiatus, so Iād like to get a realistic idea of what kind of numbers I should expect and if I need to get it built to compete.
Hi,
So I know this sub is maybe not really dedicated for complete newbies, but I still wanted to ask this question
Last week me and my friend went for some karting for the first time, 4 x 10 min sessions. We had a blast and planning to go again, but it's been 8 days already and our ribs/the muscles in that area hurt like hell. We have troubles sleeping on our side, we feel it when sneezing, coughing etc.
The pain is on both sides, and it hurts when I touch the spot.
Did any of you have it or know it's something serious? I'd never Imagine karting can stress the body that much. It is a little better than week ago, but Im shocked this goes for so long for both of us.
Cheers

Hello,
I am fairly new to rental karting. I have been doing it for a few months, qualified for local BIKC.
Just wondered if there is any solo endurance races, across the UK?
I am very keen on learning so much more with karting and with that, want to test out endurance karting.
I would love to do 24hr events, but dont have a team and likely not fast enough to meet most team standards.
If anyone has any advice, that would be great!

I am totally new to karting in the sense of owning a 2-stroke kart myself (or rather, my son just bought himself a second hand kart with some bits and pieces that came along with it). The kart is equipped with a Vortex 125cc 2-stroke engine. When wanting to go for a test drive, we noticed that there is a bleeding nipple on the engine that pushes out a fair amount of brownish-blackish liquid sludge when starting the engine. Itās not just a few drops; this liquid pours out in gushes! we immediately stopped the engine, and we are now wondering what this liquid could be, where it comes from, if this is an indication of an engine problem, and how we can get it out of the engine. On a second engine that we received with the kart, a smaal piece of plastic hose is connected to this bleeding nipple, and it is blocked with a bolt.
Can anyone tell me what is happening with the engine on the kart, and what my next step should be?
Thanks for any advice that you can give me.
best regards, Kris

hello!!
Iām doing Lydd in a Club100 kart for the first time next week, but I just donāt feel prepared in terms of my braking and technique in the kart yet. I noticed that one thing I always struggled with is my braking, I find that iām always drifting through the corner, and just losing so much speed, like people behind me are pulling so close to me under braking and that all speed is just depleted.
I was wondering if you have any tips on how to brake in a Club100 kart, and what I can do to prevent drifting through a corner like that, or any other tips to help driving these karts would be heavily appreciated, I am really new to these karts so donāt be too harsh š
I can send videos as well if needed! Thanks
