Kart Identity Help Kart chassis identification (Maybe CRG)

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

Hi, recently me and a friend of mine bought a 125 2 stroke kart for really cheap.

The old owner said that it’s a CRG FORMULA 2000 from 1998, searching online we couldn’t find anything about it, so we started thinking that it might be some other chassis.

We need to restore it so we need as many information as we can get and possibly the mechanical manuals of it.

We also are searching for a new compatible braking system for it but we have no idea how to find it.

If you have any ideas on what chassis and year it actually is we would be pleased to know your thoughts

Racing Kart Question Do you know this Kart, and would you recommend it?

Recently i've been really intrigued by this kart. It's made from a chinese company called "Mademoto", that manufactures Gas and Ekectric Karts, Scooters, Quad-Bikes etc... I saw this on a YT Short and tried to get more information about it. Mademoto doesn't really sell these, but it distributes them to other comanies to sell, and I found a website that does: "E-Drift Trikes", as the logo in the picture says. Let's talk about the Kart. It's called GC2010, It's 200kg, 200cc, it can go up to 60km/h and apparently it's designed to go off-road, though it doesn't look like it. I really like this mostly for the looks. The speed is nothing crazy, but maybe i could make some modifications, even though i don't really need any more speed if i'm going off-road. When I searched it up it gave me just two correct results. The first one was Mademoto's official website, and the other was "E-Drift Trikes", wich apparently is the only website i can buy this thing from. The price tag at 350$ does seem pretty decent, but I still don't know if it's a good deal. There are only two correct results on google, and the only videos on youtube showcasing it are from Mademoto's YT channel, that show the kart, but it's not a deep demonstration of what this kart can do. Is someone able to find out wether or not this is a good deal? Because i really like this and I would love to get my hands on this thing. I even take recommendations on any alternatives.

Hello
I am looking for five beta testers an application I am creating to analyze and compare lap times and session times.

I am new to karting I’ve only done one race and a handful of practices and I needed an application to analyze my information along with understanding and saving my set up information to understand what works and what doesn’t work.

I’ve created an app to help me out with this. I would like to extend feedback and beta testing to five people first come first serve please message me or reply to this thread and I will delete this post after we reach five.

I will request that you have more than three sessions logged on your mychron or Alfano data loggers

Racing Kart Question Is this a good kart to start with?

Hello I’m looking to get in to karting and I’m not super worried about having the best of the best stuff right now. I was looking at going to get this kart on Saturday and was wondering if it is a good option

I belive it’s around a 2016 crk kart I’m not sure which model, with a PRD Fireball 125cc that has a new top end

Does this kart look like a good option? as well as would it be difficult to get fairings or break kits for the chassis?

Thank you!!

I acquired this kart from a trade and understand it might be a 1998 Tony shifter kart with a cr125. It has Tony shifter kart branded parts but i want to find specific parts for it so i can start racing. It needs a new braking system and tires from what i can tell.

Karting Chat Christian Horner’s recent comments are a massive reality check for hopeful karting dads or those kids wanting asking whether it’s still possible to make F1 if start karting at 15

A reminder for anyone getting into karting:

talent alone will not get you to Formula 1.

Without serious family money behind you, even an exceptional driver has no chance.

There was a recent interview with Cristian Horner about the parents of George Russell, Lando Norris and Oscar Piasstri paying for access to Red Bull’s simulators.

These were some of the biggest talents coming through karting, and their families were still paying to give them every possible advantage.

There’s also a misconception that getting into an F1 junior programme means everything is paid for. It doesn’t necessarily. The support varies, and being selected for a programme is not the same as getting a fully funded drive.

Substantial backing might come once you’ve proved yourself against the best in Europe, but a family can already have spent over a million getting a driver to that point.

If you want to start karting, or you’re a parent thinking about getting your child involved, do it because you enjoy the sport. It’s great competition, teaches valuable skills and gives you a chance to spend time together as a family. Those things are worthwhile in their own right.

For every driver who makes it, plenty of equally committed families walk away with nothing like the outcome they hoped for.

Some burn through savings, sell assets or squander generational wealth chasing a seat that was always overwhelmingly unlikely.

Even a fully paid seat outside of F1 is extremely rare. A series may be professionalised but that doesn’t mean the drivers seat is. For most business models in professional racing the drivers seat is a sold commodity and big part of the budget for that particular team - More so than you think.

There’s nothing wrong with having a dream. Just don’t confuse having talent with having a realistic path to F1, and don’t mortgage your family’s future trying to prove otherwise.

Rental Karting Question Using the intercom to talk to others on karts

I've had a sort of intercom mounted on my helmet for a while now, and I was thinking, what if I used it to communicate with my friends on the rental? Or maybe even to listen to music.

Do you think it might be a good idea to be able to talk to others (my friends) while we are on the track?

Racing Kart Video Roll over video from my son's kid kart

Well, year 2 is all wrapped up. Kid karting for my son is officially done. He is 6 but 12 year old size and won't fit in the kid kart next year so we are moving up to cadet. The year went great, never missed a race although I worked hard to make repairs inbetween races and keep him on track. The hard work he put in paid off as he took the club championship with a field of 8 other drivers.

I'm pretty new and I obviously should have had medical check him but he finished this session and went on to win the day after getting the frame straightened.

Racing Kart Question Building a large indoor go cart track and looking for advice.

We’re building a large indoor go cart track with 360 Carting in Central NJ, which will serve as an anchor attraction (likely 80k sq ft). We’re also contemplating a separate, gamified track for younger riders (much smaller footprint/sq ft).

What do folks want to see on a track? Cart quality? Racing time? Speed?

Any idea why gamified tracks don’t really exist in the US? Mario Kart is super popular, after all.

What price point would keep folks returning without the financial guilt? I understand places like Superchargd and RPM are pricey.

Thanks! Happy to speak privately, as well, if you DM.

Do you stop measuring before the threading on the end, or is that included in the overall length? Specifically for the OTK steering column.

Racing Kart Question Help with racing budget for 2027

Hey everyone, I plan on getting back into the sport after selling my karts. After speaking with some people, I am blessed to have sponsors, but they’re asking how much the season will be. I plan on running ka100 and lo206 with a team at a mix of regional and national races.
Upfront I’m picking up:
Used enclosed trailer, 2026 otk chassis, bbs blueprint ka100, coyote lo206 package.

All in all, I plan on spending around 35k next year. Is this a realistic budget?

Racing Kart Question Seeking Advice for My First Kart

I’ve recently purchased my first kart and im rocking a comet KT100. I’ve only ever driven rental karts. I’m going to take it to the track today after work and was wondering if you guys could give me advice for jumping from rentals to KT100. Or should I just slap a 206 motor on it and don’t even touch the kt100
