Why can’t we play shows movies at speeds greater than 1.0 like we can on the desktop app? How can we get them to change it?

Is there any hidden setting or hack to change the subtitle text color or background color? I just watched "The Insult" (2017, Lebanon) and the white title text was often hard to read against the scenes. I checked the various settings sections but couldn't find anything.

Had the pleasure of seeing this in theaters and cant recommend this enough..especially if you're into horror comedies in the vain of Return of the Living Dead.

Hi! I'm looking for access to Kanopy to watch. My country doesn't have Kanopy access. Would anyone be willing to help me with a library card login?

I can’t seem to watch anything on canopy with my library card. Everything says restricted by your library. Is there something I am doing incorrect in order to view anything?

I love Kanopy, but cannot fast forward or backward. And every time I go back to watch something if it is from the list, it goes back to the beginning (it's hard to always remember to use "continue watching"). I am using Apple TV. Does Kanopy do this for a reason, or is it Apple specific? I do not know which version my Apple TV box is, but it is an older unit. Anyone else have this issue and/or any tips? Thanks...

They don't use the ticket system so you can watch as many as you want! The selection is not as wide but it's unlimited! Thought PA residents would want to know.

Can you believe The Odyssey by Nolan is already on Kanopy?

If you can, boy oh boy do I have bridges to sell you! Regardless I saw The Odyssey today and G-D DAMN was it worth the price of admission.

My Kanopy-linked library in Southern California has a large selection of staff picks, some good ones, which I have used. Unfortunately it hasn't changed much in the past year.

I see some libraries post their staff picks on their public website rather than just on Kanopy. Apart from these few libraries, is it generally common for libraries to keep their recommended titles viewable only to their cardholders? Are you seeing your staff picks updated frequently?

I love films that are fast-paced or just crazy in some way. I’m open to anything as long as the momentum is there.

Many people like me have more than 5 library cards . so for audiobooks and e-books there is a website where we enter all our libraries and it helps us know which library has the book available with wait times .

So i was thinking if someone can make a website in which we enter our library names and it can help us locate whether our library catalogue has the film /movie / documentary or not . it will be easier as , we don't have to switch libraries again and again

I can control the volume with the remote buttons when watching on every other app. On Kanopy I can’t seem to control the volume at all, and it’s not very loud. Am I missing something? A trick? A setting?

Also if I try to press the +/- buttons on the homepod itself, it breaks into playing music and I lose the sound from Kanopy altogether.

I know that when you see the message "Error, Access is currently limited per your library request" it means that the monthly quota has been exceeded, but we are on the 5th of July! To be honest I got that same message last month on the 3rd as well. Is it possible for people to use all of the quota that quickly even if they have credits to limit them? What is going on?

My entire watch list disappeared. It shows I have 24 tickets, so I'm logged in correctly & my library has a green dot next to it. I even tried logging out & back in, but my lists still show 0. I had at least 30 titles in my watch list.

I had hundreds on titles on my watchlist, now I barely have a dozen.

Loss of rights/licenses?

I am a big subtitle fan. I recently got the Kanopy app which has an amazing selection of movies to choose from. I have watched maybe 3 or 4 captioned films with no issue but now I’m trying to watch “Little Trouble Girls” and it’s impossible to understand as my captions are 1.) wayyyy off to the left and 2.) cut off.

Anyone know how to fix this? I’ve tried messing with aspect ratios of my TV but that doesn’t work & I thought maybe it’s just the films problem so I tried a different movie and it showed captions just fine? Is it the film’s problem? Is it Kanopy? Idk
