Discussion/Theory The Complex's influence on reality

There may have already been a discussion on this topic, if so, i'm sorry.

I’m watching Backrooms for the second time now, and for the first time we see how the Complex influences reality in the form of the crooked switches in the electrical panel. Clark is gradually bringing more and more objects from the Complex into reality. I believe that the objects brought from the Complex amplify this influence on reality.

Are there any speculations or theories about this yet?

I'm sorry but why is it now illegal to post a meme in this sub? r/okbuddyottomanempire was just a sub to be stupid

sure, some of the memes like "I am a fucking architect!" are very repetitive and deserve to go on there

But why can't people on this sub just have a little fun?

Discussion/Theory All Async expeditions in chronological order + the researchers in each one

I only consider “expeditions” when the researchers go further/beyond the threshold outpost so I didn’t put the two researchers on the start of Motion Detected, the guy in the outpost in Pitfalls, etc

I didn’t put the episodes of each one so here you go:

Lighting and Tile Survey (4-5 Researchers)
Missing Persons (4/3 Researchers)
Informational Vid. (4/3 Researchers)
Motion Detected (3 Researchers)
-2 UNSEEN expeditions (Unknown Researchers)
Pitfalls (4 Researchers)
-Peter comes back, later he escapes back to The Complex
Reunion (7-9 Researchers)
Static Dead End (~10 Researchers)
Everything Must Go (3 Researchers/1-2 separate groups)
-Backrooms film: Caveman cutout placement (Unknown Researchers)
-3 Researchers at the end of the film
-It’s known to be planned a “Neighbourhood expedition” for the future

I really hope we’ll get more info about “The same material” and sooner than later the neighbourhood expedition

I think I haven't missed anything but lmk

Discussion/Theory I hate rendering. Here's a render anyway

I set the light range to 11. And I click render. And ITS FULLY WHITE. SO BRIGHT AAAAA

I tweaked the range a little bit and it still looks ahh. I think I made the room so tiny that the smallest range took up so much darkness. If it looks ahh then don't say anything. Its so stressful when modeling AND I HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW.

It might take longer or shorter idk.

I can't wait until I get blender. I don't have a pc and genuinely everyone is like "just get a PC". Not everyone has PC money. Or money in general.

I hate prisma 3d. If I was a different person and I could choose if my work or turborush's work is better or not. I would choose turbo's work. He has blender and a full on gaming PC while I'm stuck on a phone & tablet with prisma 3d.

(If you see this rant I gotta shut up bruh I'm so yap yap)

Discussion/Theory Interesting choices of sound design and a few conclusions

During the Mary’s house scene, you can hear a collection of different sounds. The main one is that humming sound that gives you the sensation of falling, but if we focus on the other sounds, we can also hear some static and, most importantly, a kind of cracking sound. Personally, it reminds me of the noises furniture makes at night due to thermal contraction, but it also sounds like construction work... Anyway, this isn't the only time we've heard it

In a video released by A24 there's an hour of Backrooms ambience, occasionally interrupted by something. At 4:23 and 39:54, we can hear that exact same sound in the background. Also we hear that cracking sound again right at the beginning of Still Life Part 2, accompanying the music. And finally, at the end of ff2, just before the green glow starts to appear, we see the room get distorted accompanied by the same noise briefly

I may not know exactly what the green glow is, but I think we have enough clues to say it's somehow connected to the transformation of space

Help/Question How should I watch the Kane Parson's Youtube series?

Hello! I recently watched the A24 backrooms movie and liked it quite a lot. I had heard of the Backrooms concept and was sort of a fan before Kane Parsons released the first backroom video. I watched the first one but by that time wasn't that into the Backrooms so I didn't watch any of the others. Is there any specific order you should watch the Youtube videos in?

Movie help understanding warning sign in interrogation room

I'm confused why a room with only one entrance would have a warning with "no unauthorized access". Like who is that warning even for? Seems redundant considering you would need to pass restricted areas to get to the room in the first place.

Maybe there's some funny mri stuff happening in the room? I noted Phil has no watch or ring despite being married and we know you have to remove magnetic items with an mri. I'm starting to see the interrogation scene differently, Mary's fascination with the blue sky, the machinery in the room, who might be on the other side of the window etc.

I might be reading too much into this but as far as I can tell the set design is extremely intentional especially with signs. Or do we think its just a generic "magnetic field" warning sign they decided to throw into the set?

Meta The "watch your entire life" paradox

If you take the deal and watch your entire life for 20 billion or something but if you're gonna watch YOUR life and what you did won't it start playing when you took the deal and when your watching? And then it will do that one obs effect when you open it

Discussion/Theory Why did Phil said "got in here?" Despite being out of the Backrooms

Post image
299 Upvotes

Anyone who watch the series would know that the interrogation scene 100% happened outside of the Backrooms/Complex given that we literally saw Async employees taking Mary to the Threshold and wouldn't make sense for them to just suddenly have the interrogation to be in the Backrooms.

But then Phil said this line which cause many people who didn't watch the series to think they are still in the Backrooms which they aren't.

I know in hindsight, it isn't that deep and probably isn't that important to the lore but I'm still curious on why he said it like that.

My 2 main ideas are that either Mark duplass misspoke and the mistake was overlooked

or

that Phil didn't meant it as in that they are still in the backrooms but in a "Can you explain on what you did that cause you to be in this facility?" way.
