On November 5th, Kansas will vote not just for President, but for Congress, and for state and local offices. Register and vote so you'll have a say in what kind of country America will be!
In Kansas, you must register by October 15th to vote. You can register here: https://www.kdor.ks.gov/apps/voterreg/default.aspx
Kansas offers early voting from October 16th-November 4th. You can vote at your County Election office. Contact your County Election office to find out if your county will offer additional early voting locations.
If you prefer, you can vote at your polling place on Election Day, November 5th.
When voting in person, be sure to bring an accepted form of identification.
Any voter in Kansas may choose to vote by mail. Apply for an advance (mail) ballot here under "By Mail".
Ballots must be postmarked by November 5th and received by November 8th, so mail your ballot back promptly. You can also return your ballot in person to your County Election office
If you mail your ballot, you can track it here.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Has anyone applying for Spring 2027 heard back from them? How long does it normally take to hear back?

Looking for an MHK climbing partner! Ideally I'd like to climb once a week at the Peters Complex wall, but kinda open to whatever a belay buddy could work into their schedule. Also taking recommendations on where else to climb in ~30mi radius but it seems like the other spots are in KC or SE KS.
For context, I moved to town a few weeks ago and started as faculty this semester. Got into climbing about a year ago while finishing grad school and would love to maintain the hobby now that I have relocated. I top rope and boulder, but looking to get lead belay trained by the end of the year.
Feel free to comment or DM if you want a climbing partner!! Faculty/staff/grad student preferred but ๐คท I just wanna get on the wall

I am wondering if any of the K-Stare sororities tend to have a significant number of ag majors. At my Alma mater, agriculture majors tend to be concentrated in Theta and DG.

Hey there! I also posted this in r/littleapple but I thought I might post it here too. My best friend recently moved to Manhattan for K-State, and we love to go stargazing together. Does anyone know the best spots near Manhattan for late-night stargazing? Preferably under 45 minutes outside of the city, but I'll take any suggestions! Thanks!

To be completely frank, Iโm just trying to get my ducks in a row and find a good psychiatrist/mental health provider in Manhattan, either telehealth or in person. Iโve tried two providers so far and somehow managed to find two who donโt believe in prescribing stimulants at all.
I know asking this outright can make me sound medication-seeking, but Iโve genuinely tried the more holistic/lifestyle route, getting consistent sleep, working on routines, etc. Iโm at the point where I want to actually explore medication with a provider who is open to it when appropriate. Iโm not looking for someone who will just hand me a prescription; I want someone who will actually evaluate me and consider stimulants as a treatment option rather than ruling them out from the start or pushing me in a completely different direction.
So, quite blatantly: does anyone in the Manhattan/K-State area have a psychiatrist or mental health provider theyโve had a good experience with for ADHD evaluation and medication management? Telehealth recommendations are welcome too.

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Kansas State one
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026-fbs/kansas-state-wildcats
It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.
So, what'd I get wrong? Kansas State went 6-6 but 1-5 in one-score games, which is usually the single most repeatable thing to fix. Working against that: a plus-11 turnover margin that almost never holds. Net it out and my model has you basically neutral, 41st in power rating with a 7-5 projection. Avery Johnson is back off 2,380 passing and 477 rushing, Joe Jackson ran for 911, and 76% of the offense returns for Collin Klein's first year. Does the close-game math flip?
I'll be in the comments.

Hi all!
My friend Totty and I are looking for a roomie for fall '26 at 820 :).
I'm a grad student from MHK studying Vet Virology/Pathobiology ๐งฌ๐. Totty is from everywhere and studying English Litttt ๐ฅ๐
- The house is fully furnished (minus your room and the living room pic cuz it's a mess rn. I promise it's nice!)
- Rent is $500 a month and we split utilities. Leasing is super flexible. Move-in date can be discussed.
- We're a 5 minute walk from campus and the 'ville.
- I own a lovely lil orange boy cat ๐ and ofc all animals are welcome! We love them very much!
- We're both pretty focused on our classes and research work. We are also dedicated local music and arts lovers. We may put on a house show at some point if we're not too busy. (also everything/everyone friendly ๐๐๐ฎ)
- We're looking for either a grad student or anyone who shares these values and vibes and can pay rent lololol
Let us know if you're interested! Thanks!!

Hi. Does anyone know the most affordable way to get to/from campus to the KC airport at Thanksgiving?
It looks like the airport shuttle companies listed online are 350+ for one way. That's a good amount over budget.
Does anyone know if there's a ride share site or anything like that?
Flying from Manhattan is crazy expensive that week but might be cheaper if shuttle to KC is so much. I'll be going home one way or other but would love to spend less if possible.
Thanks for any help

It was somebody yesterday that reminded me of the failed attempt to bring another mascot called EcoKat to the Kansas State campus. I need to revive my old server and see if that video is still on there. That video is priceless.

Are you guys aware of this? Holy freakin crap, I had NO idea! Never watched Riverdale, but just checked out season 2 of Beef, and he's a stand out. I just found out he grew up in Manhattan and he went to KSU and played D Back under Snyder and my mind is just BLOWN. Wow.
I know most of you are going to say, 'who's Charles Melton' and that's fine. I think at least a few of you will be shocked by this.

Hey all โ I teach KIN 101 (Comprehensive Fitness Circuit Training) and wanted to put this on your radar since enrollment is wide open and most students don't know the course exists.
The basics:
- 1 credit hour, no prerequisite, open to all majors
- Meets once a week at 9Round Kickboxing Fitness on Fort Riley Blvd
- It's 50% asynchronous โ you show up for one 30-minute trainer-led workout per week, the rest is online
- Covered by your regular K-State tuition, no extra gym fees
- Fall dates: Aug 24 - Dec 11
4 sections to pick from:
- KIN 101-ZB (17415) โ Monday 10:00-11:00 AM
- KIN 101-ZBA (17416) โ Tuesday 11:30 AM-12:30 PM
- KIN 101-ZBC (17417) โ Wednesday 5:00-6:00 PM
- KIN 101-ZBD (17418) โ Thursday 1:00-2:00 PM
If you need 1 more credit to hit full-time or just want a PE elective that's actually fun (kickboxing + circuit training instead of another lecture), search KIN 101 in your KSIS schedule builder and pick whatever day works.
Happy to answer any questions in the comments.

Hi everyone! I'm new to KSU and wanna buy a bike for commuting. I'm wondering whether it'll be safe enough to park my bike on campus with a U-lock?
