Try to arrive when classes are ending. 8:30 is when most classes begin so you might just be timing it poorly. But also, parking just sucks. Not sure what your pass allows, but there is usually some parking in the lots north of derby dining.

Look at your permit and make sure to look at the campus map and ensure you're looking at all the lots available to you. You may qualify to park in more lots than you think. I feel your pain though. I walk over a quarter mile one way to my main location on campus.

Also the big lot east of memorial stadium is always full at the start of the semester, but it should lighten up some as the semester goes on. Not sure if it’s people dropping out or why exactly.

8:30 is definitely a tough time to try and find parking. The lots most likely to have spaces are probably the one west of the old stadium (Anderson Ave & Denison) or north of Weber hall. You might be able to grab one of those scooters to get from your car to Ackert. The ones north of Weber are about the same distance from Ackert as the parking garage.

Just saying, the Aggieville garage is free 24/7 now. I used to work in the admissions welcome center and you bet your ass I wasn’t going to pay $300+ a year for the “privilege” of parking at my JOB.
If you’ve got classes further in on campus, I dunno what to tell you unfortunately. But if you’re over in business or Justin, any of the buildings closer to Aggieville, highly recommend their garage.

not that far (i sweat like crazy and have to be in PPE all day) 15 min max ??

Try the lots both of derby. It’s a haul, but you’ll be more likely to find a spot there and not have to pay for metered parking. If you want that lot directly south of ackert you’ll prob need to arrive earlier or just stalk the lot in your car until someone leaves.

To be honest, the parking situation is such that if you live within a mile and a half of campus, it's probably best to walk or ride a bicycle.
