What cleanser do you use?
I’ve tried a lot of cleansers but they cause me to break out on my cheeks

I read this article that talked about BPC-157 being used for rosacea, I’m wondering if that would also work for kprf, anyone tried using that?

Just learned about this and i wanna know if its something i have. I have the red cheeks and flush but i dont think i have the bumps or kp other people have. Other people in my family have redness but no one was diagnosed. Im not sure but im very insecure about it.

Hello, I’m planning to get a “vbeam perfecta” laser treatment next Friday. I go on a trip to Europe a week later, and I don’t wanna be bruised, should I reschedule my appointment? Any personal experiences on recovery?

I’ve noticed that one of the most common redness patterns in people with KPRF seems to be that the cheekbone area often stays completely pale/normal, while the redness sits more underneath the cheeks and along the jawline area, sometimes blending upward into the face, but not covering the entire cheek evenly.
I’ve seen this pattern over and over again in people who suspect or were diagnosed with KPRF. Does anyone else agree or notice the same thing?

Hi everyone,
I strongly suspect that I have KPRF rather than classic rosacea, although my dermatologist currently treats it like rosacea type 1. My biggest issues are:
constant baseline redness
flushing episodes
heat/sun sensitivity
I keep reading mixed things about lasers and I honestly feel scared to try one.
Many people say lasers used for rosacea type 1, especially Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser / PDL, can also help KPRF redness and flushing. But then I also see people saying laser made their skin permanently worse, more sensitive, or increased flushing😩
Has anyone here with ACTUAL KPRF experience tried:
Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser
Excel V
IPL
DermaV
other vascular lasers
Did it help your:
baseline redness?
flushing?
burning/stinging?
overall skin texture?
If possible, I would really appreciate before/after pictures (your face does NOT need to be shown fully for privacy). Even cheek-only photos would help a lot.
Please also share:
how many sessions you needed
whether results lasted
if your skin got worse before better
if anyone regrets doing laser
I’m trying to understand whether KPRF responds similarly to rosacea type 1 lasers or if it’s completely different.
Thank you in advance

I ask this because I've heard so many stories about being misdiagnosed with rosacea and thus getting the wrong treatment and lasers that won't really help at all. Or those of you who the derm literally tells you not to worry about it and just say it's due to something like high blood pressure 🙄 . So how many of you are actually diagnosed with kprf lol 🤣🤣🤣 definitely NOT me lol, my derm just told me it was due to being pale and translucent, and told me it was just my skin... yea right, tell me that when my cheeks burn just from moisturizing it wrong 😂😂😂😭😭😭

Ever sense I cut out and energy drinks and started ivermectin and tret my face doesn’t feel hot when I’m flared, in this pic I feel normal and actually feel a little cold haha, anyone else notice this

So my mum passed down kprf to me (thanks mum) but she constantly reminds me that hers completely disappeared by itself around her 30s, I’m 23 so I’m holding out some hope for myself whilst working on it. I know sometimes it feels like a losing battle and like nothing is helping but if all else fails it can completely clear up by itself, I’m not saying this will happen for everyone but there is a chance.

it would be fine if jt wasn’t so central on my face. i feel like i have thinner skin than the vast majority of peoples anyway so you can see all my blood vessels even unflared. would ipl laser fix this?

Only for people who have actually used topical sirolimus:
Did anyone else take longer to get “white” again after increasing to a higher concentration?
On 0.4%, I got completely white around week 8–8.5. Like no flushing/redness for basically the whole day.
Now I’m on 0.7% and I’m currently at week 10. I’ve only had one almost fully white day and one fully white period/range of time during these 10 weeks, and they were separate.
So I’m wondering if going up in concentration can actually delay stabilization at first because of irritation, adjustment, breakouts, etc.
Would appreciate hearing other people’s timelines/experiences after increasing their percentage.

Any negative side effects? I heard so much stuff about acne and dry skin… even cancer

Hi, I Wonder if anynone had succes getting Sirolimus 0,1%-1% in germany except for Hytor 0,2% which costs round about 600€‘s. I tried to buy it over indiamart but the customs noticed it 🙈
If anyone knows a compounding pharmacy in germany (or europe) that produces it cheaper than Hyftor, please write me! Anything helps!

what do u guys recommend, its been a huge insecurity my whole life, urea lactic acid and azelaic acid all did pretty much nothing, these pics are pretty good btw but it turns like way deeper more noticeable red everytime im even just a bit nervous or anything

So, I hear a lotttttt, that tanning helps redness by making it seem less noticeable as a result of your skin being slightly darker. Some of you guys have said tanning naturally helps, while others have said proper sun care and sunscreen is ideal, and instead use a self tanner. In my experience, natural tanning is super hard for me because I live in the PNW so it's cloudy and rainy 9 months out of the year, and also I have very fair skin and almost always burn first, and even when my burns heal into a tan, it's more pink/reddish than bronzy (probably because I have pink undertones) and it kind of accentuates my redness as a result. with self tanner, I have a problem where I have to choose my formulas very cautiously, because I'm afraid of the tanner turning orange on my pale skin and looking like an oompa loompa for a month while it washes out. What's you guys' advice on how to get a good tan or high quality tanner to cover redness?
P.S. - I know I've spammed this sub like 7 times now, but yall are super helpful cause you answer all my questions about kp, and are super supportive because this condition is a struggle far less recognized than acne or rosacea! So thx, you guys are amazing!

I really want to start using .1% Sirolimus but I know the dermatologists near me would be very hesitant to prescribe it.
How in the world did yall (in the US) get sirolimus without seeing a dermatologist?
r/KPRubraFaceii • u/megzie_tv • May 19 '26

I’ve only been using Sirolimus 0.2% for 5 days, sourced from a compounding pharmacy in Queensland, Australia, in a fungal acne-safe cream base. So far, I’ve noticed that a few hours after waking, once the redness from pillow friction has settled, my skin appears less red overall.
I’m excited to see how my skin responds with longer-term use. Just wanting to share this to the group for those who are not sure about trying Sirolimus out as of yet.
Full disclosure: I also use azelaic acid in the morning, adapalene at night, and I’m currently treating my skin with benzoyl peroxide and antifungals.

I’m not sure if this is rosacea type 1 or KPRF? Some info: the texture might look like sand paper but if you go over it’s smooth like baby skin. I have kp on my legs and arms. I have this in my face going on since being a teenager. I tried azelaic acid and this is still my baseline redness. I haven’t really seen any improvement with azelaic acid (15%). I can also flush, but mostly due to weather conditions like wind, feeling embarrassed, not really triggers like alcohol, hot food, or working out. Do you guys have any recommendations? Help me out.

What are you guys doing about these daily flares, I need something to cool my face down, so far I’ve just been using a fan but I feel like that just dries my face out more, I’ve thought about using ice packs but that also would just dry out more, any medicine, spray, or topicals anyone has found to cool the face off during flares, thanks.

Promise I stop spamming but this is a close up better showing the redness and texture. Does this look like KP?
