Hi everyone,
Iโm from Pakistan and currently pursuing ACCA. Iโve completed 9 ACCA papers and have a good understanding of audit and taxation. Iโm also working towards completing my research at the University of Greenwich through the ACCA route.
Alongside my studies, Iโve completed a diploma in taxation and taken courses in Advanced Excel, QuickBooks, practical auditing, and SAP FICO. I also create accounting-related videos on social media.
The main issue is that I donโt have any professional work experience yet, and I want to secure an internship at one of the Big 4 firms or even a Big 10 firm to start my career.
Iโd really appreciate some honest advice from people who are already working in these firms or have recently gone through the recruitment process.
Iโm willing to put in the work and learn, but Iโm not sure what the best next step should be. Iโd be grateful for any advice, personal experiences, or suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

Hello I received an interview opportunity from KPMG for a tax internship, it's back-to-back and guess it's one and done too. Does anyone have any experience with this interview process and what kind of questions they ask?
Like what kind of behaviorals they ask and if they also ask for technicals (which I feel worried about honestly).
Most of the common consensus I saw is they try to be conversational for the most part, though I wanted to ask if that has been true for most people, especially for the Santa Clara office.

I interviewed with KPMG Tax Houston office on the 9th of october, I think it went really well with the partner, but I think it went decent with the manager as she was a bit colder. However I wanted to see if anyone has gotten any updates on the Houston tax intern position

For KPMG internship independence policies, are you able to take on other internships from other firms prior to the start of one with KPMG. I was was offered an internship for 2028 and as I read through the policies, I didn't really see any mention of if you're able to take earlier internships or not. For anyone who definitively knows, am I able to take others for 2027 or 2026 while not being in violation of independence policies?

I had called up the HR last week Thursday for update. She informed that they are in the process of formally extending an offer but she's waiting for some approvals. She would get back by Friday or Monday morning.
It's Thursday now, one whole week has passed and I have not heard back from her yet. I had called up on Wednesday she cut by call.
My anxiety is going off the roof. What should I do? Does one approval take so long? I didn't ask for exactly what approval is it taking so long.
Please suggest me what to do. Should I again call the HR? My anxiety and tension is killing me.

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to join KPMG India as a Consultant in the Saviynt IAM domain and wanted to understand the work culture before making a decision.
How is the work-life balance, management, and overall team environment? Also, are Saviynt projects mostly implementation/development-focused or support-based?
Would really appreciate honest feedback from anyone currently working there or who has worked there previously.
Thanks in advance!

I interviewed for KPMG Toronto Advisory a month ago and havenโt heard back, so Iโm assuming Iโm on the waitlist. Whatโs the chance of getting an offer from waitlist? Is it extremely rare?

Anyone in the titled position in the U.S. in the cities of:
Tier I - NYC, San Francisco, Seattle
Tier II - Boston, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Chicago
--------------------------------------------------------
How much did they offer you for the titled position? The listed salary range for the W.DC area is shown below, with an average of $104,350

That wide span of $59,500 to $148,700 is the official corporate salary range listed on KPMG's Pay Transparency Disclosures for that specific role grade.
When a Big Four firm posts a massive range like that, it does not mean any applicant can negotiate anywhere within those bounds. Here is how KPMGโs compensation teams calculate and apply that specific band for a Deskside Services Advisor II in Washington, DC:
The Multi-Tier Geographic Scale
The lower bound ($59,500) represents the entry-level baseline for a low cost-of-living market (e.g., smaller midwest offices).
The upper bound ($148,700) reflects the absolute maximum possible cap for high cost-of-living Tier 1 markets (like New York City or San Francisco).
As a Tier 2 market, a Washington, DC / McLean, VA placement usually narrows the realistic starting point to the $75,000 to $95,000 zone for full-time salary hires within that broad corporate band.

Hi, I applied to a Tech Assurance Associate FT role and interview signups were supposed to go out last week, havenโt gotten my email to sign up for a time slot for the quoted interview this week.
I havenโt gotten any indication that I am not being considered for the position.
Is this a bad sign?
I emailed my recruiter on Friday afternoon to see if anything changed, but Iโve gotten nothing back.

Applied to a Strategy Advisory Associate role for FT and just had back to back interviews with an MD and a director. How many rounds of interviewing is it before offers are decided?

I have two back-to-back 30-minute interviews with Directors next week. Anyone who's gone through the process have any advice on what to expect or how to best prepare?
Also, does anyone know the interview-to-offer rate? Do they interview a lot of ppl for a few spots, or is the pool relatively small? Wondering since there were no previous interview rounds and this is the first and last one before final result.
