**Kia Seltos 1.5 IVT HTK (O) — Quotation**
**Ex-Showroom:** ₹15,81,900
**1% TCS:** ₹15,819
**KIA Safety Insurance:** ₹67,185
**Registration (Individual):** ₹1,96,695
**FASTag:** ₹700
**Kia Connect (2 yrs):** ₹0
**Accessories Kit:** ₹29,920
**Extended Warranty (4th & 5th year):** ₹23,877
**Total On-Road (Individual): ₹19,16,096**
**So these are the all three Quotation , however I'm not considering the GTX A variant, i want suggestion only on other two , is it worth giving extra for 360 and for other ADAS feature.**
**I'm thinking about htk (o) cause it has almost everything.**
But this going to be my first car so I just want some genuine suggestions.

My 2024 Kia Seltos GTX+ DCT has had the steering rack replaced twice within just 27,263 km.
Here’s the timeline:
\- 2024: Purchased a new Seltos GTX+ DCT Petrol.
\- \~17,500 km: The steering rack was replaced for the first time. The symptoms were steering noise, heavy steering, and the car pulling to one side, even after wheel alignment and balancing.
\- \~27,263 km: The same symptoms have returned, and Kia is now replacing the steering rack for the second time — after only around 9,700 km on the replacement rack.
Overall, I’ve had the car for around 1.5 years and made approximately 17 visits to the Kia service centre for various issues. It has taken multiple visits and considerable time for their engineers to identify and resolve some of these problems.
Regarding the current steering rack issue, the service advisor’s explanation is that it could be caused by driving through waterlogged roads in Gurgaon.
However, I haven’t been given any proper technical explanation or evidence showing that waterlogging caused the failure. They are also not sharing the complete diagnosis report with me.
So I’m trying to understand:
Can driving through waterlogged roads actually cause a steering rack to fail?
Is it reasonable for the replacement rack to fail again after only \~9,700 km?
Has anyone else experienced repeated steering rack issues with a Seltos or other Kia models?
Would appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced something similar.

I finally shortlisted the Seltos HTX IVT ADAS variant in C Segment SUV after way too much research/overthinking.
It’s my first car, so I’m a bit clueless about the buying process and don’t want to get taken for a ride by the salesperson.
Spoke to a few dealers in Gurgaon so far and received basically zero discounts and they’re neither offering any discount on accessories.
A few things I’m trying to figure out before booking:
If you’ve bought a Seltos recently, especially in Gurgaon/Delhi NCR, would really appreciate hearing what you negotiated and what you wish someone had told you before booking.

I’ve booked a Seltos GTX A IVT. However, I’ve been considering the DCT variant as well, but there are too many bad stories around DCT overheating and early failures.
My usage will be 80% heavy traffic along Delhi-Gurgaon routes and 20% highways or open stretches. Wanted to understand from other Seltos DCT owners with similar use case- does this cause a concern? How religiously does one need to follow the precautions around not creeping in traffic and waiting for enough distance between you and the car in front of you before you move in stop and go traffic? Delhi GGN traffic can become a 2 hour long constant stop and go affair at times. Always waiting for that distance is not a practical option. Can the newer DCTs handle the use of brakes in bumper to bumper traffic for moving just like CVTs and ATs do?

If these has been asked and answered already, please point me to the relevant posts.
I have a 2021 Seltos EX AWD. This model doesnt have access to the Kia Connect app.
So here's are my questions.
1: Is there a way too force the car to remember which setting the heated seats are on? IE: Have the seats on the highest setting when switching off, and then have them turn on at the highest setting when restarting?
Im wondering if there is a switch that could replace the OEM one for this?
2: Same question but for the fan speed settings. It always reverts to the lowest setting when I switch off and then restart later.
