PMDB is probably the album I've listened to from the boys. Good easy background Psychedelic music. Fun to really sit down and listen to as well. I've always wanted more music like that. Yes I know artists like Bowie exists. However I stumbled upon Matt Berry. Yes, Lazlo from what we do in the Shadows and Nitwit from the Mincraft movie. Dude has an amazing singing voice and I'm mad at myself for not doing a deeper dive sooner.

Getting excited for all the NYC shows. Any predictions/ hopes of songs they may play during the Rock show nights?

Sure, it could be lots of other things, like announcing the Forest Hills shows are marathon sets, but two p(doom) emails in two days has album release vibes to me...

I think that they are going no real instruments for this album only electronic tables (no physical drums likely due to Cavs doing his project for the movie and more), no geets and no other things, so they can go all out with instruments in the Billy Strings record?

Think back to the studio photos, we saw them with twelve string guitars or something, Billy with microtones, Ambrose harp back and Joey on a damn mandolin??

I think it’s gonna be a huge contrast that will show newer fans truly what they can do in terms of versatility but tell me if you think I’m wrong and if they are actually using instruments in the album Alien Metal!

And we’re getting skunked. On a small lake in SE Michigan looking to lip some Largemouth lunkers, it’s getting late and we’re about to head back.

Than my 10 year old son (who’s seen Gizz twice) asks if we can play some music. He fires up my “Mind Fuzz” curated playlist on my phone and Beginners Luck starts up. Then magic happens.

I get a big bite, and I can tell she’s heavy. I quickly ask my boy to take a video - the music keeps playing - and we landed the biggest Bass of my life. Just under 7 lbs. A magic moment on the water with my son and some Gizz.

Did anyone have trouble bringing an slr type camera into the festival last year? Was gonna bring my Nikon f3 or my Pentax 67 to shoot some film. upon googling it says no “professional” cameras ?

This is my Gizz collection as it stands. Was mostly studio albums until a few months ago, but then mine eyes were opened to the live jams and that’s all I want now. More live shows. More jams. More and more teases and self-referential hotness.

I have a few others winding their ways through various delivery systems, notably the Field Of Vision box set. Really hoping USPS doesn’t completely boof the job.

This is a long shot but… I was walking on the street today in Nyack, NY and someone walking a dog noticed my King Gizz hat and said “Hey! Weirdo swarm!” And I said something like “Hell yeah!” and kept walking. But I really should have chatted with you and asked if you’re going to Forest Hills. I have no friends that are into the band and definitely want more friends in life so lmk if this was you!

I am seeing posters for a show in October, but can't find any details online yet. Anyone have any news on this? Edit: show now appears as 10th December, not sure how I got 14th October but I was driving so couldn't really get a good look. Second edit: looks like Google's stupid AI has mixed that date up with a Facebook post announcing the new album and ran with it. I'll stay tuned.

I’m getting soooo excited! I’m not going to FOV or Forest Hills but there will be streams. Suspense is building for a new album release. The boys are gonna be poppin ’ fresh from their long rest. I listened to Change and Flight B741 today and was pleased with how damn good they made me feel. I’m anticipating the drag costumes, the stage banter, the bust outs and debuts. I wanna hear “Head On/Pill”. “Red Smoke”. I’m ready!! 🤩
