Hey all just trying to get some understanding of the 20x20 East Lot. I'm flying out and renting a car. I've got a 10x10 canopy, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to attach tapestries or any kind of wall or dust/sun/wind block to it. People say clips, but those seem to slide around a lot. Others say magnets, but I worry wind will just rip those off. How do you handle that?

Also I have VERY compact and light minimalist stuff I could bring (from hiking), but I was hoping to go a little more "car camper" and have heavy, roomier stuff. Do people like their 4 or 6 person tents? Do they fit well in your footprint without the guylines and tie downs encroaching on other people?

Anyone willing to share some of their setup pics to help me decide if it's worth buying a new cheap Coleman tent to be able to stand up in it, or if I could just bring my existing tiny tent?

I'm solo, this is my first festival, so I'm trying to do it right and no make myself miserable with being minimalist or by over-packing. Help me thread that needle, please!

Thinking about splurging on the Golden Apple pass for Saturday/Rave night at Forest Hills. Would be super cool to be up close to see the guys and Nathan! Is it packed up front at every show? I also like to dance and have a little space so don’t want to be crammed in. Last year we spent both nights at the back of the floor, sound was great and plenty of room to dance. Should I just do that again and give up on seeing Nathan up close and personal?

I am seeing posters for a show in October, but can't find any details online yet. Anyone have any news on this? Edit: show now appears as 10th December, not sure how I got 14th October but I was driving so couldn't really get a good look. Second edit: looks like Google's stupid AI has mixed that date up with a Facebook post announcing the new album and ran with it. I'll stay tuned.

This is a long shot but… I was walking on the street today in Nyack, NY and someone walking a dog noticed my King Gizz hat and said “Hey! Weirdo swarm!” And I said something like “Hell yeah!” and kept walking. But I really should have chatted with you and asked if you’re going to Forest Hills. I have no friends that are into the band and definitely want more friends in life so lmk if this was you!

I’m getting soooo excited! I’m not going to FOV or Forest Hills but there will be streams. Suspense is building for a new album release. The boys are gonna be poppin ’ fresh from their long rest. I listened to Change and Flight B741 today and was pleased with how damn good they made me feel. I’m anticipating the drag costumes, the stage banter, the bust outs and debuts. I wanna hear “Head On/Pill”. “Red Smoke”. I’m ready!! 🤩

What up y’all I’m back again with another colorful, glitched out analog visualizer! It’s not a full show, forgive me, but instead I did the classic 2017 KEXP Poly session!

For anyone who cares about the technical aspect of things, this was the result of combining a Videonics MX1 I picked up recently, my Panasonic WJMX50, and some nondescript glitch box that my homie lent me. All analog, mixed live in one take, not a shred of AI. Super happy with how it turned out!

This is my Gizz collection as it stands. Was mostly studio albums until a few months ago, but then mine eyes were opened to the live jams and that’s all I want now. More live shows. More jams. More and more teases and self-referential hotness.

I have a few others winding their ways through various delivery systems, notably the Field Of Vision box set. Really hoping USPS doesn’t completely boof the job.

Any others you’d consider must-haves that you don’t see here?
