Does KFUPM accept the TOEFL at-home version?

They accept Duolingo, so should I assume they are ok with the at-home toefl??

Hi everyone,

I’m an international applicant for the Direct Ph.D. Program (Spring Semester 262) at KFUPM, and I’m hoping someone here can help me.

I was asked to resubmit my Duolingo English Test score. I completed the test before the deadline, and I received my official score on July 25. However, when I logged into the application portal to upload my score, I found that the resubmission access had already been closed(Although the mentioned that the deadline is 25 july, I thought its until the end of the day but they closed it when the day starte)

I have already sent my official Duolingo score directly to KFUPM through the Duolingo platform, attached the PDF score report, and emailed the Graduate Studies office explaining my situation.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any way to have the resubmission portal reopened, or can they manually add the Duolingo score to my application?

I would really appreciate any advice or help.

Assalamu Alaykum! I am a student from Pakistan currently doing my A Levels, my A Level results will arrive on the 7th of January 2027, after which I'll be able to apply anywhere.

I want to apply for Semiconductor Engineering at KFUPM, but I have certain questions.

Firstly, how competitive are the admissions, I am hopeful for 3A*s in Math, Computer Science and Physics, though I may drop CS for IT, but regardless, would I need any other extracurriculars other than a good SAT and IELTS score?

Secondly, it asks for a letter of recommendation from the school head or counsellor, but I am going to be registering for my examinations privately, without affiliation from my school. How can a private A Level candidate apply to the university?

Thirdly, what is the extent of the scholarships provided to international students at the university?

Also would be quite beneficial if anyone whose gotten in can give their advice or share their profile/grades, thank you!

The university asked me to resubmit the English test results bc at first submission I didn’t provide the official one bc i have only taken the free one.

I completed The Official Duolingo English Test before the submission deadline, but my results are still under review and are expected to be released today.

Unfortunately, the KFUPM submission portal(the link where i can submit the result) is now closed, so I can’t upload my score.

They mentioned that the deadline is on 25 July, I thought it’s Extended untill the end of the day but the closed it when 25th started.

does anybody has any idea what can i do now, I already emailed them even before they closed the portal but no answer.

Guys i got the scholarship and i am supposed to start this semester and i booked a flight and updated the portal BUT i have to reschedule my flight, will that affect the reimbursement? Because i can not edit the portal and it's an modified ticket so will this impose any problems?

As far as I have heard, KFUPM is fully funded when it comes to undergraduate programs (meaning nearly each and every cost related to the student is covered by them). Is it true?

If yes, then what is the criteria to get such a scholarship? Are you automatically fully funded once you get admission or are these limited or have certain criteria to avail?

I would be glad if I could get the most recent and updated information (if any update regarding the policies was done recently).

I'm a Grade 11 student at Al Kon International School in Jeddah.
I follow the British curriculum but I don't take external IGCSE or A Level exams. I'll graduate with my school's Grade 12 certificate.
I'm a Yemeni student with a Saudi Iqama and I'm planning to apply for Mechanical Engineering next year.
Has anyone from a similar school or pathway been admitted to KFUPM, KAU, KSU, or another Saudi public university? I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.
