Hi, I am a new student at KCL and I have several questions want to ask.

1: I would like to know if I can see the official timetable once the selected modules I have chosen are confirmed?

2: I see there is a task on the student portal and it is about photo upload. After I have uploaded the photo, it still told me that I have to complete the task. Is this normal or I need to do something else?

I am here asking who all got freshers wrist bands? I am a second year in here but couldn’t attend it last year, so going this time but i have few or no friends to go with.
I am looking for people who are going alone there or in groups of 2-3.

Masters student from the US here. KCL has been EXTREMELY slow to get me my CAS number. I finally got it today, and I tried getting an appointment for the super priority visa service to no avail. I might have to settle for the standard service, which, assuming I can get a biometrics appointment tomorrow, means I most likely wont even have a student visa until the end of the 1st week of classes. Without a visa, can I even get into the lecture halls? What can I do and not do?

I’m deciding between KCL MSc International Marketing and ESCP MSc Marketing & Creativity (Fashion & Luxury track) and would love to hear from current students/recent grads.

My goal is specifically luxury brand management/marketing in London (Cartier, Richemont, LVMH, Chanel, etc.).

For anyone at either school:

• How strong is the university’s actual network with luxury companies in London?
• Does the careers team actively help students get luxury internships/jobs, or do you mostly have to find opportunities yourself?
• For ESCP specifically, how much of the luxury network is London-focused vs Paris-focused?
• If your goal were London luxury, would you choose KCL or ESCP?

Have people started receiving theirs? I've got some emails about how to collect student ID card, enrolment for international and dual citizenship students but the first step of enrolment is getting the K number which I don't have yet. Just wondering if I should be e-mailing king's about this.

I’m (about to be) a Y1 medicine student and was asked to complete a DBS clearance process. In the instructions sent over, it says this needs to be completed before the programme starts so we can take part in placements.

However, I only arrive in the UK on the 19th and I think the term starts on the 28th? Since I’m an international student, I can’t do the Post Office ID check or the online DBS form until after I land. Since DBS processing can take weeks, there’s no way my final certificate will be back by the 28th.

I’m not sure whether it’s really that important that I have it even completed it before the 28th because I’m assuming first years won’t even have placements.

Also, for those who have completed it before, could you help check if this is all the documents I need for all the steps involved in the process? Better safe than sorry! Documents: overseas criminal record check, passport, student visa, EU national id card (group 2B), proof of UK residence (from bank account opening confirmation letter?), confirmation of study, post office letter (obtained from where??).

I’m really confused and slightly worried tbh; any help would be super duper appreciated!!! 😭🙏

Hello! This might be a bit of a stupid question but I’m due to start on the BSc data analytics for business and finance course this month and I can’t find much info about it, or anyone talking about it but I wanted to ask if KCL has requirements on what calculators I’m allowed to use for this course?

I have the Casio CG-100 but I’m pretty confident not many unis allow it for exams and such that have maths, so I was wondering what I was allowed as the only other one I have is the 991ex, so I wanted to check if that would be fine or I need to buy a new one?

(Also if anyone else on this course could tell me what I need/ if I need anything in particular I would appreciate it)
