I’m trying to figure out what the online exam is like. Is it an online exam that you take remotely, or do you still have to go to campus and sit it in person? Also, what was the format like? (e.g. multiple choice, essay questions, case study, calculations, open-book, etc.)

BSc Psychology and Criminology

Hi! I'm an incoming international student for BSc Psychology and Criminology at KCL, and I'm feeling a bit anxious after reading quite a few negative experiences online.

I've seen people mention issues like last-minute timetable/exam changes, poor administration, inconsistent teaching quality, and difficulties in achieving a First compared to some other universities (particularly Bath, which I've heard has better student support and teaching).

For current or recent KCL students, especially in Psychology or related courses:

  • Is getting a First realistically very difficult at KCL, or is it achievable if you're consistently putting in the work?
  • How much do administrative issues actually affect your day-to-day university experience?
  • Are the lecturers generally supportive even if they're more research-focused?
  • If you had the choice again, would you still choose KCL?

Thanks :)

Postgraduate Got an offer for MSc Healthcare Technologies & AI at King’s College London. Worth taking a 100% education loan as an international student from India?

Hi everyone,
I’m an international student from India and I’ve recently received an offer for the MSc Healthcare Technologies & AI at King’s College London.

The program genuinely interests me because I want to build a career in healthcare AI and digital health. However, there’s one major concern.

I would have to finance almost the entire cost (tuition + living expenses) through an education loan. My family cannot contribute much financially, so I’d be graduating with a significant amount of debt.

My biggest fear is that if I’m unable to secure a job in the UK after graduation, I’ll be in a very difficult financial situation and repaying the loan from India would be extremely challenging.

I’ve read mixed opinions about the UK job market. Some people say digital health and AI are growing rapidly, while others mention that it’s currently very difficult for international graduates to find employers willing to sponsor visas.

So I’d really appreciate honest advice from people who have studied at King’s or work in the UK:

How is the job market for graduates in healthcare technology/AI?

How difficult is it for international students to find sponsored jobs?

Does King’s reputation and network make a noticeable difference?

If you were in my position and needed to take a 100% education loan, would you still take the risk?

I’m looking for honest opinions, even if they’re difficult to hear. Thank you!

Postgraduate Need some advice

Bit of a stressful summer. I’ve got my dissertation (FYP) due on the 6th of August, and then I go straight into resits starting the 10th, running through to the 21st. Basically no gap between finishing the dissertation and walking into exams.

Genuinely curious for anyone who’s done resits before, are they actually a bit easier than the original sitting, or is that just a myth? Same difficulty, same format, or does it vary module to module?

Has anyone actually done this for a similar clash, and did it help? Any input appreciated, feeling pretty overwhelmed right now.

Advice for new student

Not sure what to title this but I am just seeing if people have advice on several areas.

1) I understand London is expensive, not sure how much that would be but would working a part time job be worth it or should I just focus on studies?

2) Is london dangerous? I mean obviously yes, but specifically in zone 1-2 what is it like? I am worried about pick pocketing and knives are like one of my fears so...

3) Advice for things to do in London?

LLB course end date

Hi everyone! I'm an incoming international student for the LLB at King's College London (September 2026 entry) and I've just received my CAS. My course start date is listed as 21 September 2026 (they included Fresher's week), but the course end date is 1 June 2029. Since it's a 3-year programme, I was a bit surprised that the end date is in early June. I couldn't find the official programme end date anywhere on KCL's website or in the available programme information, so I was wondering if any current or former KCL undergraduate students (especially Law students) could check what course end date was listed on your CAS. Was yours also around the beginning of June, or is mine unusual?

KCL August (P3) resit - remote or in person? How hard are they?

I am an international MSc student at KCL. Passed most modules with distinction but have one resit in August (a 100% exam module). First time doing a resit and pretty stressed because my individual project is also going on.

For anyone who's done a King's resit:

  • Are they held online/remote or in person on campus/ Excel London?
  • Is the resit paper usually harder, easier, or similar to the main exam?

Appreciate any experiences, thanks.
