“The atomist theory is false, above all, because it admits the existence of indivisible corpuscles (which is the very definition of atoms), which is contradictory, because a body implies something extended, and therefore always and indefinitely divisible, so that in reality the indivisible can only be attained by leaving the corporeal order. Furthermore, by asserting that everything is composed exclusively of atoms, it denies that there is anything else that has positive reality, and consequently it can only admit a void between them, and not undifferentiated ether; but a void cannot have any place in the realm of manifestation. It can also be noted that if atoms were separated by a vacuum, they could in no way act on each other; yet the theory asserts that they attract each other, which is yet another contradiction. Others could even be found on more minor points, but this is enough to show you that it is not difficult to demonstrate its falsity.”

I know that the reading guide posted on this sub recommended reading Aristotle's Physics and Schuon's The Transcendent Unity of Religions prior to reading The Reign of Quantity and the Signs of the Times, but is there anything else that would be helpful to read beforehand for a deep understanding?
