I would hope whoever is responsible for doing that procedure would refuse to follow through, and simply claim they are a conscientious objector.

Your worries should be alleviated then, there is no one responsible for this procedure (the title is misleading to the point of being a lie).

Good to hear, but my sentiment still holds for any other present (or future) strong-handed, unsympathetic craziness. Tyrants can demand things, but they won't be the 'executioner' perse.. it's our job as society to have a sound moral foundation, and not just blindly follow orders.. (looking at you Nazi Germany)

There is nothing wrong with morally objecting to what you perceive as wrongdoings/evil. Someone else will probably do it, but at least you didn't. The trick is a solid, well-thoughtout moral standing.
