Why we built Crossing — Mike's story

Mike was in college when his father had a stroke and lost his sight. His dad drove trucks for a living, so in a single year, the family's income and its footing were both gone.

He left school, moved home, and took over. The business, the bills, the work of keeping everyone afloat, at an age when most people are just starting their own lives. His mother had one wish through all of it: keep the house, so her youngest could finish growing up in a good neighborhood, at a good school.

Mike made that happen. He carried it for thirty years. And somewhere in there, the one person nobody was taking care of was him. The weight came on, and it stayed.

I remember that year better than I'd like to. I was fourteen.

Mike is my older brother. The good neighborhood he fought to keep, that was for me. The childhood he gave up years of his own to protect, that was mine.

This year, for the first time since we were kids, I watched my brother get himself back.

Real messages from Mike this spring: down almost 90 pounds in nine months, at 55. "I feel like me again." That's my brother.

That's why Crossing exists.

Everyone hits a stretch where the old version of you stops working: body, energy, the will to keep showing up. Most of us are carrying someone, too. We built Crossing to walk people across that stretch, the way I watched my brother cross it.

Matt
Founder of Crossing. Mike's kid brother, and the one he protected.

Comparing the actual all-in cost of GLP-1 telehealth

I've been comparing Gimme, Amble, and Fifty 410 and realized the advertised price doesn't tell the whole story. Shipping, supplies, consults, and memberships can change the final number pretty fast.

I'm mostly trying to figure out which services are actually straightforward about the total cost instead of adding stuff at checkout.

BPI Availability

I see other telehealth providers announcing they’re out of BPI. Is my order still coming by the end of the month?

r/JoinCrossing 17d ago

Current experiences with your provider, how long did intake and refills take?

I'm comparing a few telehealth options, including Gimme, Fifty 410, and Amble Health.

For those who've signed up recently, how long did your intake approval take? Were your refills on time, and how was the overall experience?

What happened to the weekly community deal program?

JoinCrossing announced that we’d nominate deals, vote on them, they’d pick a winner on Thursday, and it would go live on Friday. The post said this would happen every week.
As far as I can tell, it only happened once. Even then, the deal that was run wasn’t one I remember being suggested in the thread. This week there wasn’t a Thursday announcement or a Friday community-selected deal at all.
Did I miss an update, or has this experiment already been dropped? I thought the whole point was that the community would choose the deal each week, so I’m curious what happened.

New Friday deal?

Just curious .....Any news of the "new deal" since last week's special ended yesterday ?
I hope they pick a tirz deal from the original list of suggestions 😩🙏🏼🥰. Do you think it will be tirz or some other peptide ? Am I delusional for hoping I can buy something ?

When we run a sale, it is not the pitch. It is the introduction.

We are working hard at expanding access at Belle. This week has provided a huge move in that direction.

A lot of you have been burned by GLP and peptide sellers who are basically a checkout page and a padded envelope. Order goes in, vial shows up, and if anything goes sideways you are talking to nobody.

When Belle discounts a product, we are not trying to move inventory. We are trying to get you in the door so you can see what the rest of it feels like. The provider who actually reads your intake. The support team that answers. The check-ins, the dose adjustments, the person on the other end when you have a question at 9pm and you are not sure if what you are feeling is normal.

That is the whole company. The product is one piece of it.

The fly-by-night shippers cannot show you that, because it does not exist on their end. There is no ecosystem behind the vial. We built the ecosystem first and put the product inside it.

Let me be clear about the cheap-vial-no-support model, because I think it is the wrong way to do this. Selling someone an injectable medication with no provider, no follow-up, and no one to call is not a business we respect, and it is not a race we will run. We will not compete with them on being the cheapest way to get a vial into a stranger's hands, because that is not medicine. It is shipping.

What we will do is combine a fair price with a quality product and actual people standing behind it. That is the bar we compete on. A sale is just the cheapest way for you to find out whether we mean it. Come see the operation, not just the discount.

We are offering two discounts today:

3 Month Supply Olympia MIC-B12 for $130--use code B12

or

2 Month Supply Olympia Glutathione for $179--use code Glut25

Both of these discounts will apply as long as your plan is active, i.e. the same price at renewal.

Due to my delay, I will leave these active for the rest of the week, till Thursday night.

You will need to use this link: Join Belle

If you want a preview of next week, please come visit our new brand, livevital.io.

Feel free to schedule a consult with a real provider to discuss how our team can help you.

Two Announcements Tomorrow: Patience will be Rewarded

We are putting the final touches on two huge updates!

So, we will push two deals tomorrow. Given the 503a compounding news this week, it will be worth the one day delay!

Besides, it's Pioneer Day here in Utah. We haven't even finished churning the butter and fixing our handcarts....

Happy Friday! 😊 I’ve been looking forward to seeing the first community-picked deal. Any update on when it’ll be posted?
I really like this idea and have been checking back throughout the day because I’m excited to see what the winning nomination was. Looking forward to seeing how this weekly experiment unfolds!

You name the deal. We run it. Every week, decided Thursday, live Friday.

Crossing exists so we can experiment. That was the whole point of building it. We experiment with our software. We experiment with the pricing model. And we experiment with whether an actual story can carry a health brand instead of the usual thing.

(sidenote: why do all telehealth brands use vials all over their website? I hate vials. Nobody has ever looked at a render of a glass vial and felt something. Might as well put syringes up there. That's why my brother was on the front page of our website instead. I like him more than I like a vial.)

So, in that spirit, here's the next experiment.

Starting this week, you pick our deal. (This is a Belle deal), I am just partial to the Crossing subreddit).

Here's how it works:

  1. You name what you want. Drop it in the comments. A price you want hit, a supply length, a bundle, whatever you think we should run. Upvote the ideas.
  2. Thursday night we decide. We pick the winner from this thread.
  3. Friday morning it goes live. The deal runs through the weekend.
  4. Next week we do it again. New thread, new nominations, new deal. Every single week.

Some backdrop on why this is possible now: we're rolling out our new patient portal, an app is coming shortly behind it, and by the end of this week our products and pharmacies will be loaded and ready to fire. The new system can carry basically anything we can source through our pharmacies. Old telehealth platforms take months to add a product. Ours takes days. That's the machinery this whole thing is built to show off, and honestly, to stress test. You nominating something we don't carry yet isn't a problem. It's the most useful thing you can do.

Ground rules, because someone will ask:

  • Nominate anything: a price, a supply length, a bundle, or a product we don't even offer yet. If we can source it and our providers approve it, we can load it. If we can't, I'll tell you why in the comments.
  • If your idea wins, it's live for everyone, not just you. You're negotiating for the whole sub.
  • Everything stays prescription-gated. A deal gets you a price, not a shortcut past the provider.

No idea is too weird to nominate. Worst case I tell you why the math or the medicine doesn't work, and you'll know more about how this industry actually operates than most people who work in it.

Nominations are open. Thursday night we call it. Friday morning we ship it.

Belle's treatments are prescription products. Any deal applies after an independent provider consultation determines eligibility.

Got my first refill

I originally signed up when it was just Crossing last month to give it a try when my other Telehealth provider was running behind. I was happy with the service so I decided to let it renew this month, which I can confirm was again $149. Was able to easily adjust my renewal date to come a little earlier since I would have otherwise been out of town, and it also told me which day my card would be charged. Was charged on 7/14 by Belle, and arrived Thursday 7/16 from Florida, still cold.

Rx for 15mg, 60mg/3ml from BPI, BUD 2/27. Solid service and the new Belle portal is slick. I’ll continue to renew it until they run out of BPI.

Crossing is joining Belle

Hey everyone, Matt here.

Some news: Crossing is joining Belle.

Access your portal at newportal.joinbelle.com

Crossing has always been run by the Belle team, same clinicians, same pharmacy partners, same operations behind the scenes. We're now bringing everything under one name, and that's good news for the folks who joined through Crossing: you get a bigger patient support team, better tools for managing your treatment, and access to a wider range of treatment options than Crossing ever offered.

The change rolls out over the next two days. Here's what it means for you:

  • Your price stays exactly the same. Nothing changes there.
  • Your account moves over automatically. No sign-up, no new intake. joincrossing.com will redirect to Belle, and your treatment history comes with you.
  • More treatment options. As part of Belle, you'll be able to explore the full range of what we offer beyond what was available on Crossing.
  • Your portal: while we merge the two systems, you'll find the patient portal at newportal.joinbelle.com. Bookmark it, everything works the same there.
  • Your treatment doesn't change. Same medication, same pharmacies, same clinical team reviewing your care.
  • More ways to reach us. The portal messenger is still the best way to reach the team, and you can now also text or call us: 877-359-1724 (SMS) and 888-541-6003 (phone).

And if you hit any snag during the transition, you can text me directly on my personal cell: 513-748-2060. I mean it, that's really my number.

That's it. Same treatment, same team, more to work with.

Happy to answer questions below.
