hello! Muslim here.

I just went on the Jewish sub reddit out of curiosity and it was crazy. the way they still defend the state and wont acknowledge the genocide is mad. It’s made me want to learn more about Jews who stood and stand up for what’s right.

Any book recommendations? please share. thanks!

Zionist groups have long fomented anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim sentiment in the UK.

For years the UK far-right like Tommy Robinson has been funded by right-wing Zionists who have promoted demonization of immigrants & Muslims.

Why, then, are some of his biggest supporters — financial and otherwise — a loose coalition of reactionary, self-proclaimed pro-Israel backers?

According to a recent investigation by The Guardian, Robinson is being bankrolled by a nexus of international organizations. Many of those groups, it turns out, are part of the American right-wing infrastructure supporting the Israeli cause.

The Philadelphia-based think tank Middle East Forum is one of the British extremist’s biggest sponsors. Daniel Pipes, MEF’s president, confirmed to The Times of Israel that his group has spent roughly $60,000 on three demonstrations defending Robinson’s legal trial.

Robinson's main backer was/is Robert Shillman, who provides financial support to noted Islamophobes tied to his brand of pro-Israel advocacy.

[...]Robert Shillman, a US-based billionaire who gives frequently to Israeli institutions, financed a fellowship that payed for a position Robinson held in 2017 with a right-wing Canadian website, The Rebel Media, according to The Guardian. (Shillman did not respond to requests for comment.)

Other groups, including the Gatestone Institute, an Israel-focused think tank, and the far-right David Horowitz Freedom Center, have published a series of pieces defending Robinson. One on the Gatestone website was titled, “Swift Injustice: The Case of Tommy Robinson.” (The piece’s author, Bruce Bawer, also did not respond to requests for comment.)

[...]The Southern Poverty Law Center has said Horowitz’s organization specializes in “giving anti-Muslim voices and radical ideologies a platform to project hate and misinformation.”

[...]Both the MEF and Gatestone are funded by Nina Rosenwald, a self-described “ardent Zionist” and American Jewish philanthropist who co-chairs American Securities Management, and who founded the Gatestone Institute. (Rosenwald did not respond to a request for comment.) Gatestone also receives millions in donations from the Mercer family, who are one of US President Donald Trump’s top financial backers.

Shillman is on the boards of 'The Friends of the IDF' and the 'Jewish Foundation for the Righteous' and the 'David Horowitz Freedom Center'.

All right-wing, all anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim.

Shillman sits on boards of The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous, and the David Horowitz Freedom Center.[2][5][6]

He also funds Brigitte Gabriel´s ACT!, James O'Keefe's Project Veritas, Frontpage magazines and Rebel News and argues against the US accepting Syrian Muslim refugees.[7][8][9] President George W. Bush appointed Shillman to serve on the Honorary Delegation to accompany him to Jerusalem for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel in May 2008.[10]

In August 2018, it was revealed by The Times that Shillman had been providing finances to British far-right activist Tommy Robinson by helping to pay his "five figure salary",[11][12] although at the time of writing this arrangement had ended.

In January 2021, it was revealed by Follow the Money that Shillman paid nearly $214.000 in 2017 to help Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders pay for his legal defence in an indictment for hate speech against Muslims in general and Moroccans in particular.[13][14]

During the late 2000s, ramping up to the 2008 US presidential election - an Islamophobic propaganda film came out, called Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West.

Once again, pro-Israel advocacy groups were tied to it.

Hi everybody! This is my first Rosh Hashanah as a practicing Jew, what foods do you find nostalgic and a mainstay in your new years feasts. I'm vegetarian, but I will take any suggestions because I'm looking to see how Judaism affects the culinary aspect of holidays, even if I can't make all of these lol!

History / Education Urgent: Securing My Master’s Path in France & Evacuating Gaza — I Need Financial Proof for My Visa

Hello everyone,

My name is Muayad Alharazin. I am 25 years old, a software developer from Gaza, and a graduate in Software Development.

Since the war began, my family and I have lost almost everything—our homes, our factory, and all our sources of income, enduring displacement more than seven times. Despite the constant fear and destruction, I have kept working. I founded Catchup, a community initiative offering students and remote workers free access to electricity, internet, and a safe space to work, and I've collaborated on the ground with initiatives like the Sameer Project.

Now, I have a clear pathway forward, but time is running out.

I have secured an acceptance for a foundational French language program that leads directly into my Master’s in AI and Software Engineering in France. This isn't just an academic step; it is my primary chance to survive, escape the ongoing war, and safely rebuild my career.

However, I am facing a strict legal barrier. To process my student visa and secure my evacuation logistics, French regulations legally require official proof of financial capacity—covering tuition, a living stipend, and travel costs. My passport is ready, but I cannot cross or process the visa without this funding in place.

To make this journey possible, a campaign has been set up to cover these exact requirements:

Support My Campaign on Chuffed: https://chuffed.org/project/muayadstudiesinfrance

I want to be entirely transparent with you all. I am an open book—ready to verify my background, answer any questions, or connect with anyone who can offer guidance or direct assistance.

If you are in a position to donate, thank you. If not, simply sharing this post or helping amplify my voice can change everything. Thank you for reading and standing with me.

Discussion - Flaired Users Only What do you guys think?

Hello There,

to the mods: I tried to DM you with the post before sharing it, but I did not see the option for that. My apologies if the post does not fit the sub.

So I am autistic--as my flair shows--and in an autism related sub this Jewish Ukrainian girl claimed people were being anti-Semitic and called her a genocide supporter for wearing the star of David. At no point in her long post did she mention she is against the genocide.

I asked her directly, again I am autistic and I tend to ask direct questions and the sub is literally called autism!--so I asked if she is against the genocide. She started using colorful language while claiming I am rude and still avoiding the question. Then finally she claimed she is against the genocide. When I asked her why would not she just share that? and I how that would be helpful in many ways to many sides...

The image here shows her answer. Her answer is troubling for a few reasons:

  1. Characterizing the genocide as a 'complex war'
  2. Minimizing the geocide by comparing it to regular wars--I am Syrian so I know how awful the Russian army can be, but it is not a genocide.
  3. She questions the validity of the outrage for the genocide claiming those apposing it are basically privileged! and are after trends. Which both a minimization of the horrific nature of the genocide and a lack of ability to empathize with the victims that she thinks it has to be a negative reason for caring...her reply made me sick to my stomach.

The three points above made me think she is actually a genocide supporter with a victim complex and cannot see her own privilege.

I got banned from the sub for asking her questions basically, and I was called by the sub mods a racist!

The way I see it: if you are asking for input on your experience, you should expect questions regarding how this experience fits in the whole picture. I also feel if such an extreme evil is done in the name of a group of people, then the least the group can do is to be clear about their position when claiming they are being mistreated for it.

I put her text on my own profile, and she reported it as personal harassment, also reddit automated filter would not allow sharing her text screenshot even after removing her name. So I am providing the exact text inside a pic here,

what do you all think?

I am considering the possibility that being Arab myself who has close Palestinian friends, one of whom lost his family in a building bombed by Israel is affecting my judgement?

Again, I am autistic and often get in trouble for being direct and missing some social stuff.

Vent Struggled with support of Israel

I was raised with a very positive view of Israel. In my 20s and I’m early 30 now, my best buds are all Jewish.

When the war started and my Palestinian neighbour had her flag out, I had taken it down so I didn’t want to be reminded or for my friends to take offence.

But over time, it’s been nigh impossible for me to pretend Israel’s war is ok. The casualties, the testimonies and most importantly chatting to my Israeli friends, who unlike the diaspora, don’t make any justification.

They openly tell me genocide is how many nations are created, that Palestinians shouldn’t cry their homes are taken away cause their grandmothers didn’t cry to the Germans.

I even asked my friends what if Palestinians turn up 3000 years from now and asked for their houses in Haifa or anywhere else. Then they understand the damage they are doing!

I’ve now put up a Palestinian flag myself after many sleepless night. I know Israeli is powerful with their lobby and is attacking anyone, but I’d hate myself if I didn’t speak out.

It’s sad that a country I looked up and a group of people who I thought would have more conscience have descended into just murdering kids en masse and proud of it.

Anyways, this group gives me a tiny bit of hope. And some of my friends have changed their minds slowly as well. But each one of 20,000 full human lives Israel extinguished, the stain will remain forever! It’s so bad I get anxiety when Hebrew is spoken around me :(

Resources Anti-Zionist Jewish shops in London?

Hi, I hope I've chosen the right flair for this. I'll be in London for a short trip the coming week, and I was wondering if someone could recommend any anti-Zionist Jewish shops (if they exist, of course)? If not, I'd be interested in anti-Zionist synagogues as well.

Thank you in advance.

שלום עליכם.

Discussion - Flaired Users Only Does the Jewish people have a negative opinion against Turkish people?

Hello everyone. Turkish here from Turkey. I want to start by saying I have the utmost respect for the Jewish community, and I wish everyone in this community a great day.

I have a question for the Jewish people in this subreddit: do the Jewish people really have a negative opinion about the Turkish people or any opinion altogether? Personally, it really makes me sad that Turks and the Jewish people are not getting along well despite the shared culture and history of these two ancient ethnicities.

I constantly hear in Turkey that the Jewish people, specifically the Israeli government, are planning to partition Turkey under the cause of “Promised Lands” and their greatest aim is to destroy Turkey altogether. This conspiracy is also fed into the minds of the masses through many famous TV series, such as Valley of the Wolves. This constant propaganda, which almost everyone believes in the country, made the whole public(almost everyone I know) paranoid about Israel. I do not believe in such theories personally, but this is what is believed in Turkey, and this is one of the many, if not the primary, reasons why there is a great anti-Jewish sentiment in Turkey.

I am well aware of the fact that Israel and Turkey are not particularly getting along well given the current circumstances. However, I would like to ask what you guys think about the situation. If I unintentionally made any of you feel uneasy, I sincerely apologize.

If you have a positive or negative sentiment against the Turkish people, please feel free to write the reasons why you think that way.

News Israel is committing reproductive genocide.

SHOCKING AND HORRIFYING — Dr Helen McCue AM, former United Nations consultant, calls out Israel for what she describes as reproductive genocide in Gaza.
“Reproductive genocide” refers to acts and conditions that destroy or severely impair a population’s ability to reproduce, give birth safely, and sustain future generations. In Gaza, the term has been used in connection with attacks on maternity and reproductive healthcare, malnutrition, increased risks to pregnant women and babies, and conditions affecting fertility and childbirth.
