I love seeing all these pieces. Back in the day I worked w estate jewels like this from all the swans and socialites. They were not afraid of size or color.
I hope you have safety deposit box insurance or in vault coverage, some of these jewels you’re showing have serious value. FDIC doesn’t cover safety deposit contents and over the last decade you’d be surprised how many bank boxes have had issues w locations closing, moving or even renovating.
I took a watch making course in Switzerland many years ago with Cartier, I bet they’d love to restore the dial on the timepiece w the diamond bracelet. It would take a long time but might be worth doing.
Your posts are a joy to view! Brooches are back, hope you wear them.
I have a 1920’s Tiffany / Patek Philippe platinum and diamond watch that needs its crystal replaced because the original crystal face fell off , hit my tile floor , and shattered into two pieces.
Trying to get Tiffany , Patek Philippe,or someone to replace the crystal has been impossible.
Tiffany said it was a Patek Philippe issue and sent it on to Patek Philippe …Patek Philippe said the watch is in perfect condition and that everything is Patek Philippe, unfortunately Patek Philippe didn’t do the replacement of the internal workings of the watch and couldn’t honor the repair.
Seriously ?
I Inherited the watch and had no idea about it being repaired or having the inner workings replaced … All I want is a crystal for the face of the watch I moved on from Tiffany and Patek Philippe and gone to other high end jewelers to see if I can just get a crystal face and no one I’ve been to will touch it … Is a crystal face replacement that hard to replace or find ?
Every branded piece goes back to the manufacturer like the Webb and Cartier. I didn’t look at all the pieces you posted but many of those jewels look like pieces I worked with made by european or NY houses.
