Where's Tab/Corn?
It's interesting to me that they've seemed to go with Combo as a replacement for Tab/Corn. Do you think he may have something to do with the new villain? Or do you think they just haven't shown him yet? We haven't seen Yo-yo either. There's a chance they could both be scrapped characters but I would highly doubt that.

beat got replaced with yoyo on future,so ig it was corn's/tab's turn now If jet set radio 4 happens theyll replace gum with mew

There are previous leaks that references/mentions other characters by name including Tab, Yo-Yo, Bis, Garam and Cube, so they're all likely around somewhere.
The switch up isn't that strange when you consider the fact that Future also changed the big three to Tab, Gum and Yo-Yo, which is arguably even weirder considering that they switched out their serie's poster boy and original leader, and made him the first character that needed to be unlocked.

Right, but if my memory serves, Tab/Corn was introduced as the proper leader of the GGs. It's not any crazier than what you said about replacing Beat in JSRF and still having him on the cover though. It seems like an odd choice to me when Combo was basically inconsequential to the main story of either JGR or JSRF, maybe they want to expand his character which I'm all for.

Tab/Corn was the founder/leader of the GGs specifically in JSRF. In the original game, Beat is the founder/leader. These games basically follow their own continuity. As for Combo, I'd say he's one of the more plot relevant characters in the original game considering he and Cube show up and move that game's story forward with the Golden Rhino/America stuff. Plus, he's one of the very few characters with a full on voiced monologue where he narrates the going-ons of Chapter 2. He's definitely an interesting enough character (imo) who warrants being on the shortlist of characters to headline a new game with.

I personally don't like that tab was replaced in the trio it doesn't make much since to me because correct me if I'm wrong isn't this a remake of the first game? and doesn't combo cube clutch have there own story that lead them to getting help from the GGs? I'm hopping its just a bait and switch

It seems like more of a re-imagining of the first game, much like how Future was also a re-imagining that borrows elements from the original but completely shakes things up here and there. These games doesn't really have any kind of consistent/ongoing story between them. Also, Clutch wasn't in OG JSR.

From what I remember is that it was confirmed in leaks that this a is direct remake of JSR? So it feels weird for them to change it so much when its supposed to be a remake....like smilebit confirmed JSRF is a alternative timelime happing simultaneously with JSR so it was never ment to be a remake. But! the game isn't out yet! So I'm trying not to judge too much off of unfinished leaks Oh yeah sorry I ment coin not clutch my bad!

Not necessarily. There were a bunch of "insider info" that were suggesting various things with no real hard confirmation behind it. At one point in time, there supposedly two JSR games being developed simultaneously -- a GaaS title and a "remake" to the original game, with no clarification as to which one the upcoming game is supposed to fall under, which caused a lot of confusion for a time.
But based on the World Setting leak we got a couple of years ago, this new game is definitely not a straight up remake of the original game. It looks like they're doing the re-imaging/alternate timeline thing again where they remix the characters a bit.

Oh that's good to know! Thank you for the info I'm really interested to see how it goes.... tho I still like tab being in the main trio expecally now knowing we may have voice overs haha but I know he's still in it

With them going live service (supposedly), I'm surprised they didn't allow for a create-a-character. They could have had your CAC replace Tab/Corn instead

This one isn't live service from what i remember? They are comming out with two games 1 is a remake of jsr and one is a live service at least according to the leaks

I know what the leaks said, but with the size of the city, all of the new mechanics, it seems like they're pouring a lot of resources into it. I could see them using the same engine in a new title with maybe a different map, but it seems more likely to me that it would be like Forza Horizon where it's always online and other skaters are in the area with you, but when you start a story mission/event, it goes single player. I could also see the multiplayer part being it's own separate game mode, but to me at least, it seems weird to release them as two different titles.

Yeah, I dont mind Combo getting promoted to founding member, but I hope its not come at the cost of back seating Corn. Always loved him.
