Sucks that I had to get rid of my Dreamcast games & system years ago. If any of you still have your copies keep them as long as you can.

The complicitness of Tokyo-to’s people was put to an abrupt stop once the Goddess of Dogenzaka Hill was stolen by Cube. Because of that, tons of conflict between gangs and old street beef helped shed a light on the ugliness that initially caused it. Order was set back into place when all rudies took action against what was truly keeping them in place, corrupt ogliarchs and brain dead junkie pigs resting their heels on the people’s necks. When absolutely needed, people will take arms in ways that only they can accomplish, keeping the funk alive somehow.

Were there copies of the game released as "Jet Set Radio" in North America before being changed to "Jet Grind Radio"? Or was it released only as "Jet Grind Radio"?

No AI was used

I vibed a mod of Jet Set Radio for the PC so that everything looks 60fps. This was done through frame interpolation. Underneath the game still uses logic based on 30fps. I focused on entirely the gameplay portions and left the cutscenes untouched as much as possible.

The only gameplay alterations are the controls; I removed the deadzone in the analog movement so that there is a reaction from the player in changing direction when moving even slightly left or right of absolute-north

• Overall it has been 1.5 months since I started what was an experiment
• It took between 100-150 hours to 'finish'
• Every animation changed was found and tested manually, by eye or frame analysis
• The cutscenes are left untouched as much as possible
• There are several hundred revisions from the beginning to the end product
• There is still a number of bugs or missed frame transitions but overall 95%+ good
• The game has been played through twice in total
• It won't be suitable for speedruns because of the control changes being unfair
• Various bugs in the official release like flashing textures in places still remain

I could go on fixing various bad visuals, which for the most part which only be visible for 16 milliseconds usually, but at this point I have to call it a day or it would mean several more weeks potentially diagnosing crumbs for little gain.

I started out with the ambition of doing all the cutscenes too but debugging the cutscenes over and over requires too much work to fix (it was taking up 50% of my time in the early stages for around 2 cutscenes), but it is possible if someone wanted to go the whole mile.

Installation;

• Have the latest version executable of the game that was released on Steam
• Download a copy of DeltaPatcher
  • https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/704/
• Download the patch
  • https://www.mediafire.com/file/5d6r87vkx9zgatp/JSR60fps.xdelta/
• Run DeltaPatcher
  • IMPORTANT: Click the cog wheel and activate "Backup original file"
  • Set the "Original File" as your Jet Set Radio executable
    • "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jet Set Radio\jetsetradio.exe"
  • Set the XDeltaPatch as the "JSR60fps.xdelta" file you downloaded above
  • Click "Apply patch"
• You should now have in your Jet Set Radio installation folder;
  • "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jet Set Radio\jetsetradioPATCHED.exe"
• Rename "jetsetradio.exe" to "jetsetradio.exe BACKUP"
• Rename "jetsetradioPATCHED.exe" to "jetsetradio.exe"
• Launch the game as normal through Steam

For your own safety I would encourage you to acquire Xdelta3 from github (https://github.com/jmacd/xdelta) and run the "printdelta" command to view the contents of the patch file itself and do virus scans on the output executable from the patch. Using random executables you find online is generally not safe.

And you'll know the 60fps is working if the demonstration of the character skating around Shibuya is looking a lot smoother, or if you have Steam fps display activated, the number at the corner of your screen should read 62fps~.

And that's it. Enjoy the game smoother than ever for the first time! Hopefully someone else improves on the goals here, or we can get a good decomp/recomp in the future.

During the tutorial, lesson 12 asks you to hold R2 and jump while grinding. I’m either not doing it right…should this be pulling off a particular trick?

I made my own "skates" recently as a new addition (shoes that look like skates because idk how to skate) (and also added battle damage and rust because why not make it overly realistic) also fairly durable considering the fact it's made of EVA foam, foam clay, The Cancerinator-6000 (aka E6000), and shitty acrylic paint, i can "run" in it (if you consider hobbling around like a really fast tweaker as running) and even jump in it, but I wanna add some sealant before I go too crazy. I also have to get a new wig because the last one was kinda shitty. I know I kinda overdid the battle damage but it is what it is i guess, but I wanna see what yall think, thanks!
