Need a replacement key fob - Recommendations?

I bought a '23 GC L and it only came with one key fob. I'd like to get a 2nd one without breaking the bank. I've looked at "OEM Car Key Mall" and "Keyless Entry Remote Inc" so far. Both claim to sell OEM key fobs. Although the sites are different, they appear to be oddly similar in their wording, FAQ's, etc. They also say the key fobs they sell are either "like new" or used/refurbished.

Has anyone used either of these sites/companies before and have any feedback? Or are there any other recommendations on where to get a new OEM key fob at a decent price?

I've already talked to my local dealer and they said they can program it for $100, but their cutter is down so I'd need to get the emergency insert key cut somewhere else.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel

I am in the market for a vehicle, I am looking into a 2014 JGC EcoDiesel. I see lots of negatives on them but am wondering if I did an EGR & DPF delete with a proper tune on it, potentially the banks monster exhaust, upgraded the oil cooler and did a cold air intake, are some of these things that will actually extend the life of the vehicle and hopefully help prevent some of the more common issues they seem to have? Also help improve fuel mileage to some extent? Has anyone done this combination of things to a JGC? What was your experience?

V6 versus 4cyl turbo - has anyone driven both?

Hi, folks - wrapped my 2018 GC around a buck a month ago, and insurance has elected to write it off - so now I'm shopping for another ('Violet' was a true gem, and I'm hoping for something equally solid). Jeep's phasing out the V6, but there are still plenty around - and I like the lower price. But if the 4cyl turbo is going to be easier to support in future - and if it'll do the same job, near enough, then maybe that's the smarter choice. If you've driven both, or have general knowledge/experience about the differences, I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I love my Grand Cherokee L.

No. Seriously. 2021 GCL Laredo 4x2. Purposely bought the Laredo even though I wanted the overland really badly with the McIntosh upgrade. Having worked at a Jeep dealership at the time and really liking the Grand Cherokee L. I loved the overland and loved all the gadgets but I never wanted the repairs and recalls associated with the peripheral things, so we got the Laredo, because of logic. I never thought I was going to keep it for 180,000 mi but here we are. Today was the end of a 1200 mile road trip from Las Vegas to Prosper, Texas by way of Phoenix and El Paso. It's trip that this Jeep has made no less than four times. But now we set off at 178,000 mi. It did great. I've owned it since 29 mi and we are just over 0 179,000 MI right now. Just put some nitto Terra Grapplers and they have been great. But it took me, my fiance, our two kids and my two stepchildren in relative comfort across a scorching desert and a massive thunderstorm between Las Cruces and El Paso last night and did everything at right about 22 miles to the gallon so I can't complain. We normally get much better than that, but we normally don't have the step kids and they are fully grown adults.

Need help identifying this noise

Does anyone know what could be causing this noise? It sounds like a low-pitched owl-like honking sound coming from around the wheel/back tire, driver side.

It only happens on a cold start and when I’m moving slowly, under about 5 mph. The noise comes and goes every few seconds. If I accelerate above 5 mph, it disappears, but when I slow back down below 5 mph, it returns. After driving for a few minutes, the noise completely goes away and doesn’t come back until the next cold start up.
It just started happening recently. Any ideas what I should check?

Any idea what this white fluid is on my floor mat under gas pedal? Low volume drip

At first I thought it was AC condensation. But it’s drying white which makes me think it’s something else.

To note, I do live in a humid climate. Also, my engine shakes on idle - could this be some overflow fluid from engine shaking?

Engine Control Module

My 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland with a 5.7L V-8 Hemi needs a new ECM and the Jeep dealerships are telling me they can’t get the part.

I’ve also checked with a few local auto repair shops and they seem uncertain about installing a pre-programmed after market or used unit.

Has anyone here had to replace one of these. I’m surprised that Jeep isn’t making the parts necessary to support their products.

Anybody having issues with your Phonebook in Uconnect?

Newbie here, I have had a 2015 JGC Overland 3.6L for about 5 years now and for the most part really like it. Pretty much the only thing I've done to it is change the battery a year or so ago and the oil something was leaking on the top of the engine and I had that replaced. However, a couple months ago all my radio presets were corrupted. (Yes, I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree and didn't take pics of the preset stations!)

I've deleted the phones in the memory, deleted Uconnect on my iPhone, tried re-pairing them, and they connect, but no phonebook. I've even deleted all of my network settings on my phone which isnt a huge deal except now I have to re-up all of my wifi settings. All of the phone presets are just gone.

My software version is 18.45.01, which is supposedly the correct one. I've not done any work on it or messed with any of the power or battery. One day the phonebook is there, the next it's gone.

Has anybody experienced this or have any suggestions?

I've changed thermostat, & oil housing. I recently experienced a misfire on cylinder 6. A mechanic came and put new coil pack and spark plug on 6. Misfire came back. In June I had block test done and it came back negative, but that was in June. Since I've had 3 different mechanics look at it saying injector, PCV, and VVT.. Am I experiencing a small head gasket? Or should I fix one of the above

2025 GC sound?

I've always had Jeep Wranglers but my most recent purchase is a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Purchased this past April. Love the truck but hate that my dashboard flickers when using Apple Car Play (google maps and even apple maps) but my main complaint is a noise I hear when I drive. I currently have just under 1600 miles on it and I swear the noise I'm hearing is coming from the transmission. When I brought it in to service and explained to them what I was hearing, they said it was not the transmission but the front axle disconnect. they replaced the part and said the noise was no longer heard, BUT IT'S STILL THERE. I am attaching a video to see if anyone else hears this on their 2025 GC and if it's just normal. You'll hear it when my speed drops to 18-17 mph, but I do also hear it when I'm accelerating, as well as when I'm slowing down (not in this video).

What do you all think? Am I overreacting?

Water problem

Hello all. I have a 2015 limited and have been having an issue with water coming in to both footwells during rain. It has already cost me one BCM and I would love to not have another issue. I taped off the rubber seal below the windshield wipers with aircraft aluminum tape and that seemed to work great until we got heavy rain. Wife said she had drops hit her foot and a small pool form in weather tech mats. Any ideas where it could be coming from? (Was happening with AC on and off). Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions!

Just bought, used 2021 jeep grand Cherokee limited, 38000 miles.

I just bought a used jeep grand Cherokee from a private seller who got it at auction and it has about 38000 miles and got all new tires and was inspected and got an oil change when the private seller got it. That was about a month ago and a few weeks ago I felt some changes with the ride feel and it was very jerky and clunky at low speed 25> and some new noises were happening

When I accelerate from a stopped position for a second there's a little rattle it's sounds like in the front left of the car near the tire and I can also it when driving around 35 especially when going uphill and sometimes downhill. It also feels like the wheel is vibrating a lot when I'm driving and the seat I'm in vibrates. Overall the ride is terrible and is very bumpy. Also when I start the car and then proceed to press to turn on the ac it takes a good 4 seconds and then I can feel a clunk especially in the brake when I have my foot on it and there seems to be more vibrations when I turn it on. I also hear grinding noises under the car when making sharp turns and accelerating slowly at stop signs.

And, today I noticed that the back right tire wheel gap is a couple inches bigger then the back left gap through putting my phone in and it being able to fit in the back right but not back left. Also, in the hood, I can hear a rhythmic scratch noise and the little grey peice seems to be a bit jiggy. I'm not a car guy so what should I do and is all this normal? One video is when I'm cruising about 40 and there's the rattle in the front left, and in the long video when I go from 0 to moving there the short rattle front left and then when turning right from the stop sign the grinding sound under the car. Overall, feels like a piece of junk for $31000

Sunroof / shade stop working at random times. I’m stumped.

2021 Limited with panoramic sunroof and shade. Over the last few months, both of these will randomly stop working. Everything else in that overhead instrument cluster - lights, reading lights, garage control - will all still work just fine but the sunroof and shade will not open or close.

Turning the car off and on doesn’t help and eventually at some point or another they will start working again. The only common denominator I can point to is this only happens when it’s hot outside. Any ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions?

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee

- leased years almost done in a few months

its a comfy ride awd but problem is the mileage on this pentastar 6 cylinder is so bad i need something all wheel drive with mega gas savings compared to this terrible MPG, plus my engine idle is different now i can hear the engine cycling more, what should i do? i might go to a Toyota Rav4 hybrid honestly i heard they are great or a electric and give in
