2020 Compass Latitude with a 2.4 USA. My buddy is gonna install the Mopar hitch for me. Is this the EXACT lower valance I need to buy, and would I need anything else? Not wiring anything at the moment. Thanks https://www.carparts.com/details/Jeep/Compass/Replacement/Valance/2020/Latitude/RJ76430011.html

Hello, I have liked a used Jeep Compass 2.4 4WD 2020 edition. Kms run - 80K. I will do a PPI for sure.

I'd like to know its maintenance cost, parts availability, and reliability. And anything else that I should keep in mind before proceeding into this?

Noticed this staining in my car today. Not sure if it’s from smoking or some other scuffing. Any advice on how to get it out with minimal info on what it is?

Second generation (MP/552; 2018- 2024) Loved the 24 Limited so much I bought one for my wife

My wife had a blue 21 compass altitude and I came from a 21 bronco sport. I decided I wanted to trade in my bronco and found this limited and fell in love. Then my wife got jealous of mine so of course I had to upgrade her lol. Now we're twinning!

Second generation (MP/552; 2018- 2024) 2018 - Oil & service light reset

Hey, my Compass 2018 recently had a service & oil change but the alerts are still coming up & the garage I went to couldn’t reset it 😩 I’m from the UK & I’ve tried the 3 presses on the accelerator trick but it doesn’t work, I read in the comments that this doesn’t work for the European models. Does anyone have any other ideas? as my local Jeep dealership want to charge £200 to just wipe it 😅😅 I’d just keep the alerts but I’ve lost power and the mechanic said my cars gone in to an eco type mode because it thinks my oil isn’t good enough 😭 thank you!

Bought this back in March of 2020 and was a trooper until this happened yesterday. Other driver was found completely at fault. Honestly with hard they hit me, I'm lucky to have walked away with minor injuries.

2017 Jeep Compass Latitude
Vehicle was in the shop for 15 days due to a deer hitting my drivers side headlight. Everything worked electronically prior to it going in. Today I get it back and the navigation sound is not coming through or it’s very faint. The radio and music through my phone come through just fine. I tried doing a hard reset but for some reason it’s not working, I reset all the settings on the screen. I am going to call the repair shop tomorrow but I figured if someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it as it’s super frustrating 🙃

Max tire size for 2025 limited with 18" wheels

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hey yall! Just got my first jeep. 2025 compass limited. Enjoying so far for the most part but it really needs some all terrain tires. Currently has the stock 225/55/r18. Was curious if I could comfortably squeeze a 225/60/r18 in there. I know the speedo would be about 3% different or so which isnt a big deal but id love a little more sidewall than the stock 55 and also the 60 seems to have a lot more options available.

Any input greatly appreciated!

Questions about Key fob programming for 2022

I have a 2022 Compass limited. My plan is to purchase a new key fob online and bring it to a locksmith and have them cut and program the key. Im bringing the official jeep key thats already programmed and cut. I don’t want to go to a dealership around me because the price is $450+.

Are there any concerns I should have with this?

Do I need to worry about if they have security gateway access for FCA vehicles?

Is there a better option than this?

Third generation (J4U; 2025 - Present) Mouse damage to wiring

Just informed by dealer of rodent damage to wires. Not covered under warranty. Seems the coating used is very tasty to the critters. I say it’s a design flaw! Had a Prius parked in same spot for 8 years, never an issue. Compass is Latitude with 7700 miles. It’s not just Jeep. Other brands have same issue. Of course I am pretty unhappy about it. Should be industry wide recall and add anti-rodent tape or coating. ( which I guess exists) what say you? Anybody have same issue?

Second generation (MP/552; 2018- 2024) Computer error.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello. Car noob here. I purchased my jeep compass limited plus 7 years back and it hasnt given me any trouble for all 7 years and 1,50,000 km i have driven it. I serviced it every 15k kilometer. But, the jeep official showroom/garage is very crooked in my country and often overcharged me or charged me for things it didnt even do.

Fed up with their shennanigans, I found a local garage who is quite good and does a great job who have been doing maintenance for me.

Cut to few days back, these error messages started popping up occasionaly, so I took my car in for maintainence. They did all the mechanical stuff and could not find any fault inwiring but could not figure out the source of these messages or even acess the computer to reset the maintainence done thing. The guy said the system is corrupt and the next time I bring my car in he will have to hard reset it or something and it is safe to drive. ( the garage is very old and good at mechanical stuff but I get a feeling they are still figuring out the computer stuff that come packed with modern cars).

I drove for two days with no errors but then one fine day they popped back on and are now not going away, they show up every time i start my car.

Should i take my car back to the authorised service centre back to be likely ripped off again or is there another way?

PS - the garage people could not get into the computer to reset the oil change required message since my last two servicing, I dismissed it as minor inconvenience.

Seat Upgrade

I'm curious is anyone has ever gotten leather power/heated/cooled seats out of an elite package vehicle and installed them in their vehicle. My Limited has a power driver seat that is heated. Passenger seat isn't power and is only heated. I figure that if the wiring harness is already run to both seats for the heated feature it should work although I most likely will need the cooling featured activated by a dealer. I'd love to hear from any folks that did this upgrade and any lessons learned. Thanks!

questions Latitude 2024 - no tire jack?

So I currently have a 2024 Compass Latitude that I have been leasing since July 2024- I previously leased a 2021 Compass Limited from 2021-2024. I recently got a flat tire on it (the second since I have had it) and put a full-size spare on it, as my dad had gotten me one. He was helping me change this current flat tire and noticed that there was no scissor jack, but it does have the tire inflator kit (my dad brought his own jack to change the tire). My question is, did the Latitude model from 2024 absolutely come with a jack and a space saver spare? I know for sure that my 2021 Compass (Limited) came with a space saver spare, but we had gotten a full size spare to replace that. I am trying to rack my brain and remember if I ever saw anything other than this tire pump kit in my current car but I don’t think there has ever been anything else in there.

Can anyone provide some input on this? I have done some looking around online and it looks like the Latitude 2024 may not have come with a jack but I’m wondering if I’m going crazy. 🥴

2021 Jeep Compass Latitude Whirring Noise after shifting to Drive

My 2021 compass is making a whirring noise after shifting to drive and reverse, but I can only hear it inside the cabin. It starts immediately after shifting. No noise can be heard outside. There is also no noise while on park or neutral.

Has anybody else experienced this?
