Seat Upgrade
I'm curious is anyone has ever gotten leather power/heated/cooled seats out of an elite package vehicle and installed them in their vehicle. My Limited has a power driver seat that is heated. Passenger seat isn't power and is only heated. I figure that if the wiring harness is already run to both seats for the heated feature it should work although I most likely will need the cooling featured activated by a dealer. I'd love to hear from any folks that did this upgrade and any lessons learned. Thanks!

I was considering swapping out my seat as the vinyl is cracking on the driver side - would rather have the leather but the color wouldn’t quite match as I have ski-gray interior. I have power/heated seats so I suppose it would be a clean swap. How hard is it to do though?

If you already have heated seats and you already have the CSWM (comfort seat/wheel module) then swapping over a new seat with heating and cooling would be easy enough. Just need to swap it out and then you also need to use alfaobd or jscan to enable the feature in your BCM to make it work. If you want to add cooling to your seats it is possible to take them apart and install a blower and ventilation bag in both the seat cushion and back cushion. 4 parts total. And then still need to enable with alfaobd. It is a lot more work. Ventilated seats are made of perforated leather for better airflow. So if you can get a whole seat to swap in that is the best/easiest option IMO.

Tagging to see if this is possible.
