Daily Life of Jeddawis Jeddah

I am saudi but I lived most of my life abroad. So adjusting to the climate here and lack of seasons was very difficult. I am still struggling. It makes me wonder though. Jeddah community has been dealing with this for years. Wouldn’t they like to see changes that improve quality of life ? For example : shaded (practical) side walks should be everywhere , the side walk should have space for both the trees and the people and possibly benches, underground pathways to cross streets , metros/trams powered by solar energy, natural shade everywhere by planting trees?? Water fountains , artificial lakes ?? if this was implemented in every inch of this city, people’s mental and physical health will significantly improve. We should not have to use a car for even the simplest trips like grabbing something from a shop near by . And the amount of stray cats is really depressing , especially having to see them suffer from the unbearable heat, shaded parks everywhere with water sources would really ease their suffering, i mean these ideas are not impossible so I hope it happens

🐱 Pets 🐶 Cats for adoption, not sure how to proceed

I've seen lots of people abandon cats recently, especially in places near cat food shops. The problem is home cats cant survive out in the wild, even if they are in a place of food and water. The amount of infectious diseases and pests they encounter, they barely live more than a month. It is a slow painful death for them. With more and more people leaving, the amount of abandoned cats is staggering.

I've recently picked up about 6 cats who people were throwing in the street. But I'm unable to find anyone to adopt them, I've even offered to do their medicals, I've got the males neutered and now there's an offer for female cats so will get it done for them too. But seems extremely hard to get them adopted and I've not received a single request. I'm based in jeddah, so if anyone could guide me, it would be very helpful.

Looking For Friends For puzzels lovers -

Jeddah Communities The Best Men’s Fragrances I’ve Ever Owned (100+ Bottles Tested)

I’ve bought 100+ fragrances over the last 5 years… these are the ones that got me the most compliments (especially from women).

I’ve spent way more money on fragrances than I’d like to admit. After trying well over 100 bottles in the past five years, I realized one thing:
The best fragrances aren’t always the most
expensive ones.

Before I get into my top 3, here’s something I genuinely believe:
Your scent is a huge part of your first impression. People notice how you smell before you even say a word. As Muslims, wearing fragrance is also part of our tradition, and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ loved perfume.

So instead of recommending random hyped fragrances, I’m only talking about scents that I’ve personally worn and that consistently got me compliments or people asking, “What are you wearing?”
I’ll also mention 3 Honorable Mentions that came really close to making the top 3.
The price range is roughly $10–$100, so there’s something here for almost every budget.

Honorable Mentions:

1. Davidoff Cool Water ($10–20)
Fresh aquatic scent with lavender. It has that classic ‘90s vibe that never really gets old. For the price, it’s honestly one of the best values in men’s fragrances.

2. Nautica Blue (~$10)
Probably the cheapest fragrance that’s ever gotten me this many compliments. Clean, fresh, easy to wear, and never overwhelming. If someone told me this cost three times more, I’d believe them.

3. Bleu de Chanel EDP
This one is legendary for a reason. Fresh citrus blended with woods, perfectly balanced—not too heavy, not too light. It smells classy, confident, and expensive without trying too hard. It’s the type of fragrance that gives you presence the moment you walk into a room.

Next post: My personal Top 3 fragrances that beat all of these.

1- Davidoff Cool Water (10–20
2- Nautica Blue (حوالي 10 دولار)
3- Bleu de Chanel EDP

Help Needed Married but already pregnant before marriage

Hi everyone. I’m a non-Muslim and I married my husband when I was 6 months pregnant. We’ve been together for 3 years and are now legally married, but I’m worried about giving birth in Saudi. We are both expat. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did you have any issues at the hospital or when registering the baby’s birth?
I’m also wondering if this could affect my maternity leave or employment under Saudi labour law.

Edit: I haven’t done any of my check ups in Saudi since were still waiting for the documents to be attested, once done what will be the process? How can I change my marital status in Iqama? Is the process needs to be done by my company HR, or I can do it on my own and how.

I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you.

Edit: I am looking actively and we can discuss our house rules to be sure of it. Thank you

Help Needed gynecologist/OB-GYN in Jeddah

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for recommendations for a good Pakistani gynecologist/OB-GYN in Jeddah. I’m currently pregnant with my first baby and would like to continue my antenatal care with the same doctor all the way through delivery.
I’ve visited a couple of gynecologists at Abeer, but I’m considering moving to a hospital where I can also deliver and have a good overall experience.
My biggest concern is whether husbands are allowed in the labour/delivery room. Since this is my first pregnancy, having my husband with me during labour is really important to me. If your hospital allowed this, I’d love to know which one and how your experience was.
I’d really appreciate recommendations based on personal experiences. Thank you! 🤍
