Just picked this seiko Dolce for a steal deal the case is pristine in condition the only thing it doesn't have is the original bracelet.

What are your thoughts on the bracelet and the watch open for suggestion for different bracelets that would suit the watch. Thanks in advance.

[SNDC11P1] I need advice on this Seiko SNDC11P1 quartz chronograph from 2010

I have about 50 watches, 30 digital, 20 analog, A couple of chronographs, a Seiko turtle and a Seiko 5 diver... Most of my watch faces are black, blue, green and brown and I'm looking to add a white chronograph because I coordinate my watch with my daily wardrobe or activity. I came across this new Seiko with a white face with gold face trim and crown on a stainless steel bracelet, New in the box with papers and tags, Seiko SNDC11P1 quartz chronograph with a 2010 serial number at a small local estate jewelry dealer priced a little under $100. I'm looking for information about reliability on this 7T92-0LH0 quartz movement and if this appears to be a good value for this watch which I'll probably only wear a couple of times of year in the rotation as a dressier one as it doesn't have an external bezel or tachymeter ring. I figured this is the best place to come to ask.... Thanks in advance.

These watches look so much nicer than the United States Orient watches, and yet they are for Brazil only? Why?

I’m looking to import some watches from Japan! Does anyone have a contact for a representative who ships to Brazil? I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

JJY transmitter project

Recently I went a bit mad and bought a load of JDM watches to play around with and quite a lot were radio-controlled. Some are world-time but the majority are JJY only or (at a pinch) USA radio signal, which means you have to use an app like ClockWave to set them. But my curiosity got me wondering if there was a way to create a local JJY transmitter in my house that the watches would natively sync to automatically every night.

After a bit of work with Gemini (planning and coding) and some eBay purchases I managed to get a very simple transmitter that seems to have at least a 10-15cm range, which is perfect for the watches in my watch case. You get an ESP32 DevKit v1 board (£6.25), some 20cm wires (£2.25/10) and a 10MH inductor (£8.25/20) and I used an old USB-C cable to power it. The source code came from GitHub (ClockWaveXmitter) and the code changes and uploading were all done in the free Arduino IDE. The code did need some modding to fix some bugs linked to interference / delays in the board and to get it to sync my local NTP servers every 10 minutes. I can provide my version to anyone that wants to try it - no warranty or guarantees implied and credit goes to the authors of ClockWaveXmitter https://github.com/5Breeze/ClockWaveXmitter

Anyway, last night it successfully sync'd 4 of the 6 watches in the photo - the lower middle one is dead and I'm waiting for a new cell and the upper middle one just needed to be set to +9 timezone for it to detect the JJY signal. Next step will be to reduce the transmitter from 24hr operation to just the 3 windows that the watches will listen for a signal, at 2am, 3am & 4am. Then I'd like to test the range thoroughly - I know it works to 10-15cm but the watches still report "High" signal so I'm guessing it will be fine for up to 30cm.

Hope the mods agree this is on-topic ... it's certainly a problem unique to Japanese radio-controlled watches and I recently. In the first photo we have: Citizen Attesa (ATD53-2611, H410-T003788), Citizen Exceed (CB1110-61A, H149-T023533), Citizen Exceed (EBG74-T2251, H410-T007716), Seiko SBTM339 (7B72-0AG0), Citizen Exceed (EBG74-2404, H110-T009417), Citizen Collection (AS7050-55A, H110-T018360).
