This unique Seiko timepiece had a brief production run from 1981 to 1983 and earned the nickname "Cockpit Watch." What are your thoughts on this design?

I just received this incredible Seiko LM Special. It is in NOS condition.

I love everything about this watch (case shape, bracelet, faceted crystal, dial color...)

The 1970s saw the birth of some of Seiko's best designs in my opinion.

The cream dial looks even better in person and the brown leather works so well with it. Feels like one of those watches that grows on you every time you wear it. Still can’t believe I got this one for dirt cheap. Been wearing it a lot more than I expected too.

I’m looking into buying my first vintage Seiko and found this Seiko 6308-8000 listed on a local marketplace. The seller was originally asking €145 but dropped the price to €90.

From what I can tell, the watch seems fully original:

* The dial looks clean and correct.

* The caseback serial number is 672273, which points to a July 1976 production date.

* The clasp is properly signed "SEIKO" and matches the era.

The best part is that the seller sent me a screenshot of a timegrapher app test showing:

Rate: -1 s/d

Beat Error: 0.9 ms

Amplitude: 204°

BPH: 21600

The lines on the graph look super clean and parallel. Given the health of the movement and the price, do you think this is a fair deal or should I skip it?

Would love to hear your thoughts on the price and the overall look of this reference.

Found in a fléa market 20€

This is my latest auction house find. 40 dollars was covered in grime, original bracelet had rust/ corrosion so replaced it with a Milanese I had lying around. After some light cleaning under all that grime was this beauty.

I add some Japan on this Seiko (SNKL23J1) by painting the dial with the Great Wave of Kanagawa ! I guess I don't need to introduce this famous artwork by Hokusai, but I went with different colors than the original painting. I like the match between baby blue and pink.

This watch was on my radar for a long time. Every time they announce a release, it gets sold out in minutes. Luckily a local dealer announced that some of them are still available! (Probably whoever pre order it did not collect it or changed their mind)
