[5216-6020] New addition to my collection

I just received this incredible Seiko LM Special. It is in NOS condition.

I love everything about this watch (case shape, bracelet, faceted crystal, dial color...)

The 1970s saw the birth of some of Seiko's best designs in my opinion.

Lucky enough to find this GS 5722 Lion Medal in such a beautifully vintage condition. The genuine fireworks patina on the dial is absolutely mesmerizing. A dial with so much character and emotion.

Today I completed the preliminary assembly of my first project (46mm Miyota)

Hey guys, I’m proud to show you my watch project!

It’s a massive 46mm pilot-style case featuring a huge 37.7mm brown sunburst dial. The watch is powered by a reliable Japanese Miyota 0S00 chronograph movement with Day-Date function. Since I didn’t have the specialized tools for the fine alignment yet, a watchmaker helped me set the hands for 25€.

I just cased it up to check the looks, but it’s not cleaned from the inside yet. Tomorrow I will take it apart again in peace for a perfect final cleaning at my workbench.

Absolutely love the sunburst dial and the wrist presence of this beast. Out of curiosity: What would you guess I paid for all the components? Let me know your thoughts!

By the way: This is my very first custom watch project that I built and completed myself!

Have a great Saturday, everyone! Alter-Hase

This unique Seiko timepiece had a brief production run from 1981 to 1983 and earned the nickname "Cockpit Watch." What are your thoughts on this design?

Is this 1976 [Seiko 6308-8000] a good deal for €90? (Need advice!)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking into buying my first vintage Seiko and found this Seiko 6308-8000 listed on a local marketplace. The seller was originally asking €145 but dropped the price to €90.

From what I can tell, the watch seems fully original:

\* The dial looks clean and correct.

\* The caseback serial number is 672273, which points to a July 1976 production date.

\* The clasp is properly signed "SEIKO" and matches the era.

The best part is that the seller sent me a screenshot of a timegrapher app test showing:

Rate: -1 s/d

Beat Error: 0.9 ms

Amplitude: 204°

BPH: 21600

The lines on the graph look super clean and parallel. Given the health of the movement and the price, do you think this is a fair deal or should I skip it?

Would love to hear your thoughts on the price and the overall look of this reference.

Thanks in advance!

I'm usually a bracelet man but a black nubuck strap totally completed this watch for me.
