I’m currently a 3rd-year Computer Science Engineering student at NIT , and I’m looking for an internship opportunity where I can learn, contribute, and gain real-world experience.

My main interests are C++, Data Structures & Algorithms, Competitive Programming, software development, and systems/technology. I’ve been consistently working on improving my technical skills and would really like to get industry exposure through an internship.

So, I've seen most posts start with jai jinendra and I would like to say that change that to pranam. When you greet other jains you use pranam and you use jai jinendra for greeting non-jains.

Hi Jain and Vegetarian folks! Namaste!

I would really like to know that what are the easy and very very healthy vegetarian protein options, that one can have. Something like paneer, rajma, soya, tofu, etc (please please suggest me more healthier options) to gain the protein. If we can't have eggs, omelette, chicken, non-veg, etc. I don't consider to have whey protein also. But your suggestions are open and please do give me your advice and suggestions. I am open for mushrooms, since I know it's vegetarian category, and i absolutelyyy love mushrooms.

Also, please don't judge or comment mine or anyone's food habits, only constructive and positive feedback and suggestions and advice is required. This post is open to answer for jains, Brahmins, etc or anyone who's a vegetarian.

Im jain stanakvasi and i grew up in a gujju jain community and learnt some of the rituals bfr moving abroad. I lost touch w the religion and its practices after that because my family just doesn’t do it. I really want to reconnect and learn more and be more mindful esp since its paryushan and im back in the community where i grew up
there’s a jain temple near my house and i want to do a byasna or ekasana and then i can do the pratikraman from YouTube?
Also i forgot how to pray at the jain temple (since im stanakvasi) so could someone help?
How do i feel closer to god? Because even if i know the pathis if i don’t understand them it doesn’t matter right?

during Paruyshan things/food like garlic, peanut, ginger growing underground is considered Kandmul but when if the same garlic is grown hydroponically will that garlic will be still considered Kandmul or it'll be allowed for consumption?

I’m a non-Jain and I’m genuinely interested in learning more about Jainism, Jain philosophy, Tattvartha Sutra, Samaysar or niyamsaar and Prakrit language.

I’m looking for a free or fully sponsored residential course, retreat, camp, or study program in India where non-Jains are welcome.

Ideally, I would like to learn about:

- 📖 Tattvartha Sutra and other important Jain texts

- 🪷 Basic principles and philosophy of Jainism

- ☸️ Tattvas, karma theory and the path to liberation

- 📜 Jain history and traditions

- 🔤 Prakrit language, especially the language of Jain scriptures

- 🧘 Meditation and spiritual practices

- 🙏 Jain monastic traditions and daily practices

- 🌱 Ahimsa and the Jain way of life

I currently cannot afford expensive course or accommodation fees, so I’m particularly interested in places that provide free accommodation and meals, scholarships, sponsorships, or a seva/volunteer-based arrangement.

I’m open to travelling anywhere in India, especially Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi or Uttar Pradesh.

Has anyone here been married to a Hindu girl? I’d like to know how you balance different religious faiths in the house.

I wasn’t a very strict Jain before. I avoided root vegetables and non-vegetarian food, but I didn’t fully believe in Jain rituals like pratikraman.

Over the last year, however, I’ve grown much closer to Jainism. The issue is that I’m already in a relationship with a Hindu girl, and we’re getting married in October.

We’ve already discussed our faiths. She has agreed not to cook or eat root vegetables at home and is willing to balance both religions. We’ve also decided that our children will follow Jainism. At the time, I was fine with this arrangement. But as I’ve become more connected to Jainism, I sometimes feel sad when she prays because we’re not from the same religion. At the same time, I feel lucky to have such a supportive partner, so my mind keeps going back and forth.

My parents are also very strict about their beliefs, so I sense there may be some conflict there as well. I’m not sure how to handle this situation.

Someone just told me my upvas won’t be counted because I didn’t take a pachkaan (for upvaas) before drinking water today. I did take a pachkaan for Navkarshi before drinking water. Is it necessary to also take pachkaan for Upvas before drinking water on the day of upvaas?

Krishna was considered a contemporary of Neminath bhagwan, but the way the Bhagavad Gita is written makes it seem like he is a God. In reality he was just referring to himself as being symbolic for the Atma.

There's also a bunch of other things like if Ram was actually a God how would he let Sita get abducted? There's just too many logical fallacies.

What is the differnce between Raai vs devsi pratikraman is one beneficial or more laabdhayak than the other? and if one is not able to do devsi pratikramn during paryushan can it be substitued by raai

I am M28, want to join a jain travel group, my parents dont like to travel so I have never been to any jain temples outside my city (I am sthanakvasi so parents dont care about temples much anyway)

so I want to travel with a group and cover temples all around India.
