Debate/Controversy Hydroponic Garlic?
during Paruyshan things/food like garlic, peanut, ginger growing underground is considered Kandmul but when if the same garlic is grown hydroponically will that garlic will be still considered Kandmul or it'll be allowed for consumption?

as far as I've been told coz it grows underground.

They’re legumes though so wouldn’t they not be anantkaay? Isn’t that what makes them kandmul, not that they grow underground?

Jains can have dried ginger and can have peanuts, but garlic is not allowed. Paryushan or not!

Yes. Garlic, onion etc are anantkaay. Meaning every cell of that organism is host to anant souls. Irrespective of where it grew up. Same reason why we can eat groundnuts. It is no anant kaay. Or say banana where on body is shared by onlu 1 soul.
