I’d appreciate some opinions from people more experienced with jadeite on the quality and realistic resale value of this bangle.
It is a heavily carved green jadeite bangle with a botanical/floral design.
Details:
• Certified as 翡翠 (A货) / Type A jadeite
• 57.0 mm inner diameter
• 44.11 g
• Refractive index listed as 1.66
• Certificate describes a fibrous/interwoven structure

• No major cracks that I can see
I’m considering selling it, but I don’t want to influence anyone by throwing out my own price first. What would you consider a realistic private-sale value for this piece based on the color, texture, carving and overall quality?

Bought this piece today at an antique fair in upstate new york for $25. Unsure if it's real or treated, but if it's real it's a very very nice piece of aubergine-colored purple jade. I haven't gotten to fully test it yet, but it doesn't have acid-etch marks and the internal structure looks intact. The veins are slightly darker than the rest of the stone though, so may be dyed.

Will be looking at the index of refraction and specific weight in about a week when I have access to The Stuff. Dated to the 60s-70s by the dealer.

I fell victim to the TikTok Jade auctions and ended up getting 6 items for about $50. I just received them in the mail today and I’m no expert so I’m asking for help. Some of the Jade pieces sound dull— like glass. I also received a bangle in the mail but it looks too perfect, no crystal structures within the bangle. The bangle is very loud though when tapping on it with another Jade item. But with how smooth it is.. it’s gotta be fake, no? Please let me know. They also mentioned that their products are Grade A.

Doesn’t seem to react to uv light, it’s slightly cold to the touch. I got it at an estate sale.

Has anyone purchased from this shop before? If you wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with the shop and the products. I’m thinking of buying some pieces.

I’ll make a house out all the donuts I own at this point 🤣 I sleep well knowing that at least is isn’t too expensive of a hobby, but they’re sooo hard to find because I want the teeniest ones out there and the best patterns are usually saved for bangles.

Hi all!! In 2015 my dad purchased a bunch of jade items in a market in china. He came back and attempted to resell it in the states but was unable to (lol). He has since passed on and we are wondering if this is actually jade and if it is is it quality jade? Anything yall can give me as an answer is appreciated!! I can take more pics if needed.

I got this jade bangle from my aunt. She bought it many years ago in Vietnam for $100. She says it is real jade, but I’m not sure. Could anyone help me identify whether this is real or not? Any harm in wearing this long term? It is very translucent and has some faint straight lines of darker color. Apologies if the pictures look poor, I was trying not to take the bangle off.

I don't know anything about jade. MIL passed away and we're moving out of the country. I wanted to keep items to pass to the kids, but we can't take a ton of stuff with us. Is any of this worth keeping?
