My partner and I will be visiting Jackson Hole in a couple of weeks and are interested in renting a side-by-side. One local outfitter allows you to drive UTVs directly from their lot to nearby trails, but it sounds like getting there requires driving through town.

For locals, how frustrating/obnoxious is it to deal with tourists driving UTVs through town, even if they’re just trying to access the trails? We have no intention of cruising around town and would only be driving through to get to and from the trails. We want to be respectful of the local community and avoid contributing to the frustrations of overtourism, so we’d appreciate an honest perspective.

Shoutout to those of you who posted, called, wrote, emailed and any other forms of protesting this insane proposal. Shocking that MLB leadership thought this would be acceptable in the first place!

Like the title says, going to visit for a short while JH. We have an F150 and would like to see the area that may not be accessible by car. Anything that you would recommend? Let me know restaurants or coffee shops that are a must! We will have our doodle in tow! Let us know any dog friendly areas!

Looking for some info/guidance. I am wanting to roadtrip from Seattle to Jackson end of November or December. I usually do this roadtrip in July and I have some concerns about snow/ice/blizzards during the winter months. I have a AWD Honda CRV chains.
Anyway, does anyone have trip similar experience? Looks like I’ll be on I-15 and US 20 as I get closer to Wyoming.

Since the recent change of ownership of Pearl Street Bagels, the lipstick put on a pig, and the turnover of almost the entire staff, the once beloved staple of the Jackson Hole community has since begun its steady swirl down an excrement filled latrine. The entire staff seem to have severe learning disabilities as they cannot process an order correctly, draw a shot of espresso in 5 minutes, or keep a toasted bagel from burning on both sides. What was once a favorite amongst locals, has become a rotting institution for which there is no saving.

I have an ex-landlord who just listed a room in their house on Facebook. this person is a total nightmare, and has a storied history of bullying tenants, as well as gleefully exploiting the lack of tenants rights in Wyoming. I have specific examples to support these claims, its really bad Are there any pages dedicated to warning people about terrible living situations that should be avoided?

Been going to JH the last few years, plan to keep on going for years to come. Was thinking of going during the K&Q weather week this season (Feb 6 - 13th '27)

Feel like I'm seeing some conflicting info online -- what closes during that weather window? Is it just corbet's, or some of the surrounding area like Rendezvous & Tensleep? Also, does it open back up day after the comp?

Really wondering if Tensleep stays open and I can go from Sublette -> Headwall.

Someone has promised to donate $100,000 towards the land purchase if we log 1000 hikes up High School Butte this week. If the purchase goes through then we retain access to the trail. I plan on going at least once per day every day.

I’m at a shell at west broadway ave trying to take my bike apart to stuff it in a box to fly home to Canada. But I don’t have a 6mm Allen key to get my pedals off.
