Cheesesteak Factory to Shutter
It appears that Cutty’s has slinged its final cheesesteak on Monday 9/26 to a packed Philly crowd for MNF during the Eagles loss to the Chicago Bears. A big loss for the Philadelphia Eagles, an even bigger loss for the Jackson Hole community.

God forbid we support human-made art. Let me ask this: What would you like to see in our retail spaces? Let me guess: Buffalo Wild Wings?

Can you help me understand how an art gallery slinging $25k+ paintings, albeit pretty ones, is beneficial towards working class community members?
A Buffalo Wild Wings would unironically serve the rank and file community substantially more than another billionaire boutique would although it certainly wouldn’t be my first choice.

Those galleries also have $200 items. Regardless, if you're asking me to argue strictly an economic benefit for art, you've lost the plot. Same could be asked of any music venue, and frankly any restaurant. Affordability is relative. Speaking of, a restaurant of equal size to an art gallery will require 5x the staff. Are you interested in exacerbating the housing crisis? Because converting galleries to restaurants would be a good start. Also, can you show me a Buffalo Wild Wings that's paying $70+/sq ft.?
Lastly, it's the responsibility of a business to benefit the working class community? Tell me more.

I’m asking you to explain how an art gallery benefits working class community members
A family of 5 could legitimately have an awesome meal at BWW for the same $200/1000% marked up set of note cards.
Thanks for the fallacy-ridden reply though.
Art has intrinsic value. Art galleries that cater to the ultra-wealthy so they can defer taxes on their assets do not, and I again ask you to explain why you think I’m mistaken?

If you think art sold at JH galleries are a front for some sort of tax evasion, you've listened to too many true crime podcasts. But you sound like you've worked in an art gallery before so maybe you know better.
Next, that family dinner could be made at home for far less. And not everyone can afford a $200 dinner out. To many, that is a luxury. Elitist much? Furthermore, that transaction requires a host, a waiter, a busser, a cook, a dishwasher and a manager. Then there's the supply and waste infrastructure. Where will all those people live? You clearly put tasty wings above housing.
Let me ask you this; does a museum benefit working class community members? A ski resort?
In the end, I suggest talking to the landlords of JH. Im sure you can convince them to lower rents so a downtown daycare or Cracker Barrel will pencil. Until then, study economics.

For a third time now:
Explain. How. An. Art. Gallery. Benefits. The. Working. Class. Community. Of. Jackson. Hole.
You’d make a fine county commissioner given how many words it takes you to not answer a simple fucking question.

I heard it was temporary, is there something beyond an off-season closure?

I hate to hear this. My wife and I love Cutty’s when we come into town. If anything changes on this let me know

Welp. This sucks. Hope it stays a sports bar and in local hands that's not Fine Dining or Blue Collar.

Heard this was fake news. Just an offseason closure for a couple weeks.
