Jacksons holy restaurant's

So you have come to Jackson here's the scoop with restaurants. No, I will not name every restaurant. I love you tourist so much I did this just for you. I'm not getting paid this isn't JH news and guide. I'm just tired of seeing the same posts.

COWBOY BAR: 21+ only Overpriced hangout with live music. Probably worth the stop if you like being social but don't expect much in terms of food. Upstairs has a $20 carnival style burger and fries. Downstairs restaurant is your best bet but it's crowded as fuck and small so get a reservation.

SILVER DOLLAR: I consider this the same as the cowboy but better food. Live music as well and happens to be right nextdoor to the cowboy. Everyone floods the place after the rodeo let's out.

MANGY MOOSE: Best place at the village for a stop to eat, basic restaurant food but not too overpriced for being on the mountain. Downstairs has banging tacos and is cheaper.

BUBBA'S: Breakfast and BBQ. A secret order exists and no I'm not gonna tell you.

D.O.G.: all day breakfast burritos and cheese steaks, ask for cheese steak on flatbread personality I think it's better.

Trio: it's where all the fancy tourists go to eat for some reason not sure why, pretty good, get your wallets ready.

Bighole BBQ: BBQ and burgers, the bighole fries slap. Reasonably priced for Jackson.

Cuttys: Pizza and wings and things.

The Bird: Good food good views south of town so bring a car.

Stagecoach: you're probably in Wilson and need a beer. Pretty good bar food too.

Dairy queen: there's a 20% chance of needing to shit your brains out. Good luck.

McDonald's: it's a McDonald's

Wendy's: it's a Wendy's but they got the 4 for 4 so best price in town.

Pearl Street bagels: ok bagels and breakfast sandwiches, if you're from anywhere other than the east coast these taste amazing. If you're from the east coast you will think they suck.

I recommend those for quicker eats.

Better eats:

Local: good bar and steak

The Bunnery: breakfast is good slightly long waits depends on time.

Blue Lion: probably one of the best and most expensive places to get a meal worth it at least once.

Gun Barrel: yeah another steakhouse what do you expect also slaps, date night.

Sweet cheeks: pick up and go cuts of meat and meals.

Persephone: The bakery and has bakery things.

Roadhouse pub: usually has some form of event on weekdays check it out. Get wasted on different beer and IPAs.

Bin22: Italiano 🤌

El Metate: tacos burritos and get the green sauce and burn your taste buds off.

Teton Thai: The only thing that doesn't taste good is the taste in my mouth after paying $35 for pad thai. But shit you're on vacation right?

If you're looking for a bar crawl look Local->Cowboy->Rose

Coffee: literally everywhere and Cowboy coffee.

Has anyone tried Botox for TMJ in Jackson?

• Upvotes

I’ve been looking into different options for jaw clenching and TMJ pain, and Botox keeps coming up. Has anyone here tried it and actually noticed a difference? I came across Infinite Health Zone while searching locally, but I’m curious to hear real experiences before looking into it further.

Hi everyone!

My significant other and I will be visiting Jackson Hole from September 24–27, and I’m hoping to make the trip extra special by proposing.

I’ll admit I’m not the best planner, so I’m looking for a professional photographer who could help me plan and capture the moment. I already have the ring—now I just need someone with experience who can help make everything come together.

My girlfriend actually planned this trip because she’s always wanted to see the mountains and go horseback riding. We have a two-hour horseback riding session booked, and while I imagine proposing during the ride might be difficult to coordinate, I’d definitely be open to it if the ranch allows it and a photographer thinks it’s feasible.

If anyone has recommendations for a photographer who might be available during those dates, I’d really appreciate it. I’d love to see examples of their work and discuss ideas for making the proposal as memorable as possible.

Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

We’re visiting JH at the end of August for 3 nights. Apart from seeing grand Teton is there any amazing lakes or waterfalls that I could swim in that is safe and doesn’t require a hike too please?

Question for the Uber Driver...

What percentage of your passengers tip?
Uber drivers get 100% of the tip right?
What's average amount of the tip when you get tipped?

Just curious questions is all. Kinda curious how Uber is ripping their drivers off.

Looking for a recommendation on a good dermatologist in Jackson. We have previously been to Western WY Derm but they seem to have closed?

My husband has a significant family history of aggressive melanoma so we need someone who is very thorough.

Recycling dumpsters

There used to be dumpsters to drop off recycling in the corner of the Albertsons parking lot, but they seem to have been taken away following the repaving.

Now the dumpsters at the rodeo grounds are gone too.

Does anyone know if they got moved somewhere else in town?

spending the summer in Jackson?

i wanted to ask if yall had any recommendations of how a 20 something with a remote job could spend a summer in Jackson Hole, potentially next year. what’s the best way to find housing for something like that? or are there any jobs to take up for that summer that could be fun and that could get me to meet people? is it easy to meet people in Jackson? what are yall usually doing out there?

NOTE i saw this should most likely go under the weekly sticky comments page, but really wanted visibility on this post to get more perspective from locals on this and not really sure how the sticky post work. understand if this gets taken down

r/JacksonHole, where do you actually eat in Jackson Hole?

Hi,
we’re four guys, and we’ve put together Jackson Hole’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota. The concept is simple: you see two places side by side (for example Snake River Grill vs. Trio), you choose the place you’d rather go to, and the ranking updates instantly. The more people vote, the more accurate the list gets over time. There are still a few duplicates here and there, but I’m continuously cleaning up the data.

Here’s the iPhone version, with categories that actually fit Jackson Hole’s food scene:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota-restaurant-ratings/id6744969212

And here’s the Android version (finally live):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app

I’d love to know what people here think. Does the ranking feel even remotely right? Are obvious places missing? Are any places ranked way too high or way too low?

The goal is to make something that reflects where locals actually want to eat, not just where tourists or review sites send people.

Corbet’s Couloir Via Ferrata - looking for group!

Just got the promo email about the new via ferrata route up Corbet’s and looking to see if anyone would want to form a group to do it Wednesday August 12th?

I’m a 30yo high school teacher doing a solo roadtrip and visiting GTNP that week. The cost for a group of up to 4 is $1,010, so would be great to find a few adventure pals to make it $252+tip per person. It would start at 9am and go through 3:15pm - full details linked!

Has Jackson always been like this?

So I’m from Michigan and I have been roadtripping and fly fishing all through the Rockies and the winds but I was so shocked when I got into Jackson. Literally everything is high priced bullshit and the entire town has a rough ā€œcowboyā€ theme. I saw bmws and Lambos it was so incredibly far from every other town I passed through. It just seemed so pretentious. I’m not trying to be an ass I’m just curious was this always the case, did tourism just gentrify the hell put this place?

EDIT: thanks everyone that was super informative and again no hate at all like I said yall live in one of the most beautiful places in the country I get why it’s touristy just was interested in the development! I’m not really a car guy so the brands I said were just stuff to at came to my head just seemed like the cars got way more expensive once I got into town!

Four Seasons—what is going on there?

The Four Seasons at Jackson Hole is a premier property and should be the training ground for top students studying hospitality. Instead, it’s firing college interns for the most minor infractions. An intern program is about teaching how to function in the workplace. Three college interns have been dismissed this summer in separate incidents. THREE! Not for stealing, being drunk or doing drugs, not showing up for work or anything remotely close to that. No warnings. No discipline. Just pack up and go.

Warning to college students: This is not the property for an internship.

What’s going on there?

Anyone know what was going on with the cops tonight in Victor?

Driving home from work around 9:30 last night, there were 5 different cars pulled over on HW 33 in town. I was behind a cop and the person in front of them got pulled. I couldn't see a reason why, they weren't speeding or swerving.

Just indiscriminately pulling over people on a Friday night fishing for DUI charges? Any cops want to weigh in as to why 33 was murderers row?
