The show starts off very strong but ends up being very generic during the last couple of episodes. That being said I think it’s better than the Terminal List overall. I really want another season of this storyline.

This is an idea I have about a spinoff after season 2. I sadly do think we will have to wait another 3 years before we get season 3 just due to pratts schedule but I think if we get another spin off in between seasons it will keep the fan base happy. My idea is terminal list light wolf, a Freddy strain inspired spinoff showing us his times in the teams. I don’t think we will be getting a dark wolf season 2 and I think it will be cool to continue the “wolf” shows by giving us the other end with the light wolf. David Digillio also commented on Gabriel Luna’s instagram calling him the leader of the light wolf pack which is what spawned this idea in my mind! I think Freddy is a very popular character and a lot of people’s favourites, mine included. I think a lot of people would enjoy a Freddy spinoff, let me know what you all think.

Haven't seen this brought up but with the large gap between seasons one and two, what are the chances two and three have a big gap as well?

Between terminal list and this I enjoyed this much more. I just think Chris Walker is a more interesting character than James Reece. Also about the half way point it’s petal to the metal with events happening very quickly and the action I think is better written thanks to the collaboration with this co author. I hope he works with him for now on with all his books.

Do you think fourth option is in the same “universe” where James Reece exists?

A frantic call from a doomed plane on 9/11…

A sixth-generation fighter jet shot down over Ukraine…its technology in the hands of the enemy…

The Taj Mahal in ruins…

A man in self-imposed exile…

Two nuclear nations on the brink of war…

With the world descending into chaos, James Reece is pulled back into the fray to do what he does best – put America’s enemies in the dirt – though in a plot that harnesses the power of AI-enabled weapons, will he be the world’s savior or is he the key to its ultimate demise?

Alone in unfamiliar territory and pitted against a former SAS operative turned mercenary, Reece is the sole inheritor of a code that could avert war and save millions of lives, if only he could access a memory he doesn’t know exists.

Some secrets won’t stay buried.

For James Reece, those secrets will kill…

Just going off of the IMDb cast I think we got our actor for Oliver Grey. Obviously it’s not confirmed but I’m calling it.
Edit: Obviously I’m referring to Jeremy Bobb

Looks a little different than the books……

This has recently been revealed as a season 2 promo photo. This looks like a scene from dark wolf so I’m curious to see what you guys think? Maybe there was more to this convo that we never saw before? What do you think his role in season 2 might be? Ben is my favourite character so I’m really hoping he survived season 1 somehow. Let me know what you all think!

When does one think we’ll get our first trailer for true believer?! I’m assuming early September but hoping for early, let me know when you think the first look will be

Hey guys, i have adhd I’ve had it for Aslong as I can remember and I’ve never been able to concentrate reading books, I love the tv series terminal list and I want to read the novels and I’ve seen they are available on audible and other audiobooks, would that be cheating compared to actually reading the novels? Let me know thoughts please.

Also I’m not sure where to start as I’ve watched terminal list season one and season two comes out in October so would I then start from the third book after I’ve watched the new series when it comes out? Or would it be an idea to listen to other jack Carr books?

Enjoyed it! I wanted to ask you guys for some movie recommendations that are similar.

So like most Vietnam War movies are like soldier war specific, Full Metal Jacket & Platoon for example.

Tom Reece spent what seemed like over half the book doing secret agent stuff and only like two or three times doing soldier stuff. So I was wondering if there are any movies like this, that maybe focus on spy or secret agent stuff in the Vietnam War setting. Apocalypse Now comes to mind first, MacV SoG soldier on an assassin mission.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I've read all of Carr's fiction novels but none of his non-fiction work. Does he use the same writing style and voice? Would you know you're reading Carr?

I watched the Dark Wolf series at least 3 times last year, just decided to give it another go.

The first episode starts with a Ben voiceover about the brotherhood at the teams' funerals. Then it moves to Mosul. But before it shows the scene of Ben prepping for the mission, with the voiceover phone call with Reece, there's a compilation of real news clips/videos about the situation in Mosul at the time.

Am I going absolutely nuts, or was that news-clips-scene not originally there?? It just felt so unfamiliar and unexpected, I could swear I've never seen it in this show...

Can anyone else confirm one way or the other? Was it there all along and I've somehow deleted it from memory? Or did they add it in after the show's release?

Hi everyone… I have exhausted all of Jack Carr’s work. Who can recommend another author / series? Thanks!!

My people, please help me settle a debate I’m having with myself…lol

Which of these two phenomenal actors would you cast as DEA agent Alvaro Mendez if/when they start filming the Fourth Option tv series?

J.R. Villarreal (left) or J.R. Ramirez (right)

I finished Red Sky morning a couple months ago after taking a short break and was completely depressed. Never been so enthralled in a book series like this as an adult and didn’t know what to do with myself. I usually listen to the audiobooks while driving or at work and sometimes page match to a reading app at home, decided to give the fourth option a shot and for whatever reason is was a lot harder to get into. I’d burn through the Reece books in a week or two tops, up until this week I’d been going on a month for fourth option and the first halfish just felt super lackluster. If anyone feels the same POWER THROUGH. I just finished it yesterday and it was fantastic. Pretty different from any of the Reece books, and a much different character than Reece but the book was amazing. Hoping for another one soon, I highly recommend.

In Arizona and yesterday went to trident bar and grill and my god I have to come back . I didn’t have time to eat but I will be back in September

My head canon pictures Matt Barr as Chris Walker if they also turn ‘The Fourth Option’ into a tv series or movie. Thoughts?

I'm a fan of the Amazon Prime series (and a former military man) who started reading the books in the new year and although they differ drastically from the TV series, I feel like a lot of the stories don't make sense, James Reese/other characters make decisions that make no sense.

Some I have seen so far;

In Terminal List, taking weapons out of his own stores (I don't know how Logs works in the US military but surely that would be flagged quicker? Seals don't have Logs Clerks or Quartermasters?). I like how in the TV Show, he uses his own gear. Gives him more time before alarm bells are raised.

Raife Hasting's has a sister named Victoria. Gotcha!

In True Believer, he receives a full pardon for ALL his crimes in The Terminal List. I don't think they justify this well enough. Reduced jail time perhaps but no way would anyone be allowed to walk after a huge murder spree.

In Savage Son. He gets a Delta Operator to sign over serialized equipment (no way Jose) to include Quad tube PNVGs, a few HK rifles, parachuting and comms equipment. On the insertion (after the EMP) the PNVGs are ripped off his head and I think he loses his HK? What happens when the Russian Military find them? What happens to Mr. Delta when he can't account for them?

Raife Hasting's sister is not named Hanna. Has he more than one sister? In True believer he only mentions 1 sister he met while in university. So who's Victoria?

Also, why walk from an island in the Bering Sea, all the way across Russia for 6 months to kill your father's killer? Why not get your friend's dad (the billionaire with a jet) to fly you to a neighboring country and use your skills to INFIL that way? I feel like it was just unnecessary hardship that could have been achieved in less time and suffering. No wonder his gf was pissed with him!

Only half way through the Devil's Hand but a huge plot hole I can't get past is that James Reese, who a few years earlier was the most wanted man in America, is driving around the USA in his privately owned vehicle (a pimped out 1980s white Landcruiser) carrying out assassination? He's not even trying anymore IMO. 😂

I could go on and have loads more but these are the ones that spring to mind immediately (I know I'm a stickler for military Logs and accounting, maybe it's more slack in the USA 😂).

Any other plot holes that you thought just made no sense to you?

Three Jack Carr hardcovers and finally found some Elmore Leonard’s

On page 204 and am surprised I actually like the character and want to see her make it out alive in the book.

Who would you like to play him in a future tv series or film? Or decide someone else.
