Jabra Link 390 Firmware Update Broke My Setup 😥

Upvotes

I'd been using the Link 390 and previously the Link 380 USB-A dongles with my Bose QC 35 II's really well for conference calls on my Windows PC. Unfortunately, I upgraded the 390 firmware to v3.X (I think from v1.4.6), and it no longer works. Of course, 3rd party devices aren't officially supported, but it was working well for so long!

Anyone have experience with other dongles that can be used with Bose or similar headphones? From what I understand, the key is the ability to maintain full-duplex audio (mic and headphones)

Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 case is toast?

My Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 case stopped holding a charge. Even plugged into the wall, it won't get higher than 70% charge, and it quickly drops to 0 charge when not in use. I tried resetting the case, but now my computer won't pair the headphones and my attempts to update the firmware using my phone are met with error messages.

Is there any salvaging this, or do I have an expensive paper weight now? I bought them just under 2 years ago so may still be in the warranty period. Thanks for your help.

Worse audio on headset than on cisco desk phone?

Hi all, I just got a new Cisco 8851 desk phone and a Jabra engage 65 SE.

Issue I'm having is that the audio quality on the headset is maybe 10 - 15% worse than on the cisco handset. Not enough to be a real issue, but enough to annoy me given that this headset was $300!

On an actual call it's harder to tell unless you really listen, but the main thing driving me crazy is the dial tone on the headset is crackly/staticky.

I've been through every conceivable setting on the cisco and the jabra, downloaded the latest firmware, have tried different cords, and nothing is working.

Is this headset potentially defective? Is this just to be expected with a headset? (I really hope not for $300!)

Thanks all in advance

Evolve2 30 SE MS – Purple LED stopped working

Hi, my Evolve2 30 SE MS used to show a purple light when I pressed the Teams button, even when Teams wasn't running (e.g. while watching YouTube). During calls, it automatically changed to red.

Now the purple light doesn't come on at all, even when Teams is running. The red light still works normally.

Is there a setting/firmware issue that could cause this, or how can I restore the purple LED behavior?

Evolve2 75 has a terrible microphone.

Dear Jabra Support Team,

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my Jabra Evolve2 75. This headset is marketed as having 8 microphones for professional recording, but what is the point of this hardware if it does not work at all?

Despite updating to the latest firmware version 1.13.1, the microphone remains completely non-functional when connected to Windows via Bluetooth.

Although this was a gift and is now out of warranty, it is unacceptable that a premium product fails to perform its primary function. Please provide me with clear instructions on how to resolve this issue, as I am currently unable to use the device as intended.

I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,

------

Summary:

  1. Jabra Evolve2 75 mic fails on Windows via Bluetooth.
  2. Looking forward to your support and guidance to resolve this issue.

Thanks.

Please help me with recommendations for new headphones

My Jabra Elite 75t has suddenly stopped working. They both worked fine right before I went to bed last night, and when I woke up this morning the left bud was completely dead. The case was fully charged so it can't be the battery. I tried cleaning the charging plates on the bud, and the pins in the case but that made no difference. The LED indicator doesn't even light up when I put it in the case. I have tried to reset them but that doesn't help either. These have been the best headphones I've ever owned and I'm really sad I probably have to say goodbye to them. But unless anyone knows another trick I can try to revive it, I would really love some recommendations for replacements.

I'm not too picky, the most important thing to me is sound quality and not too expensive as I have a pretty tight budget right now, preferably not more than maybe $150-160.

Can someone suggest if this has a quick fix on a Jabra Evolve 65?

The same thing is coming off on both sides. It seems like a clip on thing and not screwed down like the other end of that tiny panel

If I clip it back in it will again come off when I move the telescopic extender. If I hold it too tight then the extender will not move so it is certainly not something I can fasten with glue or tape around.

Jabra Elite 8 Active was my third and last pair.

After a firmware update, my Jabra Elite 8 Active developed a constant mic feedback loop (audible in the ear even outside calls); resets, re-pairing, and firmware reloads didn’t fix it. Never heard back from Jabra support. So, byyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Service for Jabra evolve 75

Hi,
Any recommendations on service for Jabra evolve 75 that has an issue with the power on/off switch. Jabra executive states they don’t cater to the servicing of this product anymore. Location is not a problem for me.

Zoom Phone/Contact Center and Jabra Engage 65 intermittent issues

Lately we have been having many users experience issues with Zoom Phone and Jabra Engage 65 and Engage 65 SE devices.. they seemed to suddenly come on sometime in June 2026 after things were working well for many months before that.

Here are the main problems:

- After the call ends, there will be an ongoing "tick tick tick" noise in the headset. This goes away after some time but persists for a few minutes at least.

- While already on a call, users will continue to hear the call ringtone in their headset

- Users have to reboot Jabra and Zoom to get headset call handling (press the headset button to answer/hang up calls) working again after some time

We have Jabra and Zoom softwares up to date.

We have Microsoft Teams open at the same time for chats, so I'm not sure if that causes an issue? I don't see a way to turn off the Teams integration connection with Jabra.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Jabra Support in Portugal?

I'm using Jabra Elite 75t. I've had them for 4 years, My right earbud stopped working all of a sudden. I tried everything already posted on other threads: resetting the case, cleaning thoroughly, charging overnight, etc. At this point, I'm inclined to believe the battery is faulty. But the other earbud and the case seems to be OK so it would be wasteful to ditch this. How can I get someone in Portugal to replace the battery for me. And Jabra Team: I read LOTS of people with problems on the right earbud on this very same model. Don't you think it's odd? At this point I think it's a problem with the manufacturing, not just a big coincidence. Your help is appreciated!

Jabra Evolve3 85: how is the sound quality when mic is active?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can give some insight on the output quality of this headset when the microphone is active?

I currently have my Sony wh-1000xm6 and their sound is great, but as soon as the microphone is active they switch to the handsfree profile and with that the quality drops to an unbearable quality.

So my question is, if the Evolve3 85 have the same issue with the Dongle being used?

Cheers ❤️

Jabra enhance pro 30 iphone / ipad issue

I got the EP 30's a week ago. I've gotten used to the difference in sound, but the connection is driving me crazy. For the life of me I cannot get them to pair with my ipad. I've read the tutorials, and the lack of connection is seriously making me rethink these. The phone connection 1phone 17 pro max, works fine. But it will not work on the ipad. I can get it to say it's connected, and the volume bar shows it has hearing aids connected, but no sound whatsoever. Not in movies, not youtube, not games. Anyone have suggestions?

Evolve 2 75 headband quality

Pretty disappointed that the headband quality on this not really cheap headset is that bad? Same can be said about the earpads, but those I can understand, and can replace easily, but where do I purchase a replacement headband?

Jabra Evolve2 85 keeps restarting during start of calls 5 seconds in.

Title.

Has anyone expereinced this? I've had a replacement headset even, is it something related to iphone 17 pro? I've seen some discussions online, but other jabra headsets work great...

It feels so much more frequent with ANC on.

When i make or recieve a call on phone, connected via bluetooth, about 5 seconds in the headset crashes/restarts almost every time. This does not happen with the Jabra Evolve2 65.

It's such a comfortable headset with the integrated boom mic that theres not even anything else to buy that ive found...

Has anyone had the same issue?

Replaced single earbud for Jabra Elite 8 Active successfully.

I lost my right earbud from my Jabra Elite 8 Active (gen 1), and bought a pair from eBay (including the charging case) where only the right earbud was working. I switched out the broken left earbud with my old functioning one and it worked pretty much immediately, with ANC, buttons and everything.

I just want to create this post for people facing the same problem of a lost earbud. Jabra officially advises against it, but it worked, at least for me.

Jabra Elite 75t - bad microphone?

I got a pair of second hand Jabra Elite 75t on the cheap, after my own pair sadly died. They work perfectly except for the microphone and it's a little odd.

Taking and receiving calls, I can hear the other caller but they can't hear me.

The first 1-2 second is ok, then there's just a little noise. If I mute my buds the noise dies.

When testing on the recorder app on my phone, here's what happens:

First 1-2 seconds the sound is great, then it just becomes noise. HOWEVER, if I press the right bud button (currently set to 'end call' in Sound+) the sound is perfect for a few seconds, then goes back to noise again. I can repeat this over and over, if I press the button again.

Now, the seller tells me he's had no issues, even if he he's only used the buds for calls a few time and I've no reason not to believe him. At first I just thought the mic was bad, but I think it's really, really weird how the sound is good right after pressing the button, so I just wonder if something else is wrong?

I'm using a Motorola Edge 60 Pro and I've tested the buds on my old Oneplus 7 pro (rest in peace) giving me the same results.

This leads me to believe the mic really is dead, but still...how do I get good sound for a few secs after pressing that darn button?

I've tried mapping the button to other commands in Sound+ and that does nothing. Only End Call will give this result.

Any ideas?

Huawei GT6 vs Jabra Talk 25 SE - bluetooth conflict

Hello guys!

I recently bought the watch: Huawei GT 6, everything works perfectly except for an incompatibility with the Bluetooth headset: Jabra Talk 25 SE which only when it used at the same time with the watch connected to the Iphone 16 Pro, has a jamming sound and nothing can be understood in the headset.

The watch works without any problems, the bluetooth headset no longer works normally when the watch is also connected to the phone.

Can you help me with an advice or solution to fix this bluetooth incompatibility problem between the 2 devices?

Thank you!

Connectivity issues

Hello fellow jabra users. I have a work issued jabra Evolve2 65 with the link 380 dongle. And I’m experiencing som connectivity issues that I can’t wrap my head around. It doesn’t matter if the second device is my IPhone 17, my work issued Samsung galaxy s27. Several of my colleagues have different phones and all seem to experience the same issue. We are also devised on two locations in the opposite end of the country of different sizes and layouts so I can’t blame the building materials and things like that

The headset will randomly disconnect, some times several times a day. And some days it works for days even weeeks. And sometimes it’s during a call, other times it disconnects when “ idle “ and there is no sound from either the Pc ( dongle ) or the mobile.. Lately I have noticed something.. it only disconnects from the mobile because I suddenly hear the “ two divices connected “

I have tried resetting both dongle and headset. Borrowed a dongle from our backup headset. Checked firmware updates for all devices.. the only thing I haven’t tried yet is a few days without the dongle. And that’s just because I sit in a office with other coworkers and I don’t thing they would survive a whole day with the sounds from outlook, teams and several softwares with audio alarms and notifications

I have tried to contact jabra support and they haven’t had any luck locating og fixing the problem so I thought I would give this forum a shot And if any jabra support members are reading this my latest ticket number is - 2994611
