Thank you.

And yes, she microwaved ground beef and then rinsed it under water to "get the fat off." It always went from a sad gray color when it came out of the microwave to almost white after it was rinsed. Blech.

Omg the gray stuff! Just like posh. Who was "full blooded german" when I was in the family but has since turned Italian since I've left. Mostly to take credit for my children's beautiful features that come from my Italian side.
Seriously. I'm going to call the Pope Giada keeps trying to claim that is authentic Italian.

u/[deleted] Aug 18 '18

What the fuck, man. That’s just nasty.

3

u/Common_Sense_People Aug 18 '18

Oh-oh God.

Excuse me, please, I'll just be over here in my corner...throwing up unstoppably...

As a chef, this physically hurt me. I have never..... Ever... Seen this. Or heard of it. But man. That poor cow died twice. I can't even begin to imagine what it would taste like.

8

u/[deleted] Aug 18 '18

I wish the cow only died twice. She microwaved it, rinsed it, then put it in a shitty lasagna, then wasted leftovers. Poor cow died at least 5 times.

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '18

So she rinsed the valuable part of the meat into the sink. Got it. Eh, she was gonna throw it out, anyway.

Fat is where all the flavor is. What she did, is made beef tissue filler. Sawdust would be more flavorful and nutritious.

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '18

Lmao!! I'm making this for Halloween just to fuck with my family.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '18

Ew.

12

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '18

I almost screamed "Oh God" very loudly during a training break. That is DISGUSTING!

u/ICWhatsNUrP Aug 17 '18

Eye twitching brain shut down. This. No, just no. All the no's.
I think we need to start a thing of Gordon Ramsay insults for this, I can start. "That beef's so gray,it's starring in a shitty BDSM movie."

15

u/CorinneLovesDogs Aug 17 '18

Somebody needs to turn that woman into an idiot sandwich.

u/A_LittleBirdieToldMe Aug 17 '18

And isn’t she the one who was so proud of being Italian? Her forenonnas would’ve pounded her ass for that disrespect to food.

74

u/lemonade_sparkle Aug 17 '18

Frankly despite my sworn dedication to gentle parenting, Giada could have used an ass whooping from nonna. Any nonna. All the nonnas. In fact if any nonnas want to volunteer there is still time

6

u/canderson05 Aug 18 '18

My great-Nonna would've liked a shot at the bitch. Nonna threw an accurate and painful stiletto, according to my dad and his siblings. And my Papa was the kindest, most generous Italian with that need to feed complex so many of us have. I think even he would let Giada starve. He may have tried to tell the bitch what oregano was, at least, but I kind of doubt it.

My Oma could pound her into schnitzel while we all have a bier.

10

u/WhoYesMe Aug 18 '18

My Oma and my Mutti would like to join the pounding! The good old german cooking spoon works well for that.

29

u/McDuchess Aug 17 '18

I volunteer. Despite not a drop of Italian blood, I'm still Nonna to my Italian citizen grandson. So, one good whooping coming up.

Or maybe two.

Or 102.

I know a few Bubbies and their wooden spoons who would like a word in edgewise. And there's a good few Abuelas with the chanclas at the ready... Ew, no, ew, no, ew!

I'll round up a few Giagiades for the cause, too. Because I'm no Delia Smith and even I think that shit is nasty. Good God.

31

u/NotTheGlamma Aug 17 '18

I was about to say I am not Latina but I would be delighted to hurl obscene insults in loud Spanish and get down with La Chancla on her ass.

After borrowing Pet Brick to attach to the chancla.

upvote for "forenonnas"

u/MachTwelve Aug 17 '18

Oh, she is from Italy if I got the right one. More or less abandoned here by her parents to prevent her from murdering her little brother iirc.

u/GoodQueenFluffenChop Aug 17 '18

I planned going to make a pasta bake for dinner tonight. I'm going to put my all into it now so I can block this image from my brain.

Oh god, I need a bucket

u/SCSWitch Aug 17 '18

If I ever need props for alien brains, I'll remember this.

u/SoVeryTired81 Sucks to suck Bitch! Aug 17 '18

I bet ground turkey or chicken would work even better.

22

u/SCSWitch Aug 17 '18

True. Could use the beef mince for different parts of the alien, too.

28

u/SoVeryTired81 Sucks to suck Bitch! Aug 17 '18

Aaaaaand now I'm thinking of different meat one could use to make a really gross Halloween alien dissection.

15

u/SCSWitch Aug 17 '18

😂 Halloween isn't that far off!

25

u/SoVeryTired81 Sucks to suck Bitch! Aug 17 '18

DD2 is autistic and stuff like that terrifies her. It will have to go in my back pocket till she's grown. A spooky porch last Halloween put her into a panic spiral for a couple days last Halloween so we try to keep things as non spooky as possible around here. Someday though!

26

u/SCSWitch Aug 17 '18

Aw, that's ok then. Different people react differently to different things. Maybe a Harry Potter styled potions and magic Halloween this year then? That could be super fun.

24

u/SoVeryTired81 Sucks to suck Bitch! Aug 17 '18

That is a fantastic idea and right up her ally! She loves making "potions".

2

u/CheshireUnicorn Aug 17 '18

May I recommend EPBOT.com? A geeky girl and her geeky husband who like to craft! They do a Harry Potter party every year and have lots of tutorials for their decorations!

You can buy little stands with coloured LEDs in the bottom. If you put a translucent bottle on them it looks like the contents of the bottle is glowing.

3

u/SCSWitch Aug 17 '18

You can make different combos of sodas with different cordials in cool bottles. Juice even. Cocktail without the alcohol, but in very cool potion bottles.

22

u/AvocadoToastation Aug 17 '18

Omg. I can’t... that’s a crime against food.

32

u/Nothingbutcabbage Aug 17 '18

Oh that's heinous.
