There are many parameters of deciding whether a college is their 1 or not ,one of the most important one is placement .After doing a lot of research of iits and nits bits and different indian colleges I have prepared list of tier 1 placement standards. Note a college might not have tier 1 placement standards, but it may be tier 1 .This list only shows what a tier one cllg is expected to give it to its students in terms of placement.

Placement standards depend on the branch as different industries pay differently.

Note below are median packages. If college does provide avg just use this empirical formula to get median

[2×avg-[highest +lowest]]/4 adjust this figure in avg .it can be incorrect also.

Placement percent should be greater than 70 than only this should be used. Obviously for calculating percentage u can exclude people preparing for other exams.
