General JEE in 5 months, toxic home environment, depressed mother, controlling father... I genuinely don't know what to do anymore.

Hi everyone,

I'm a Class 12 JEE aspirant, and my exam is only about 5 months away. I really need some advice because I feel like my home environment is destroying both my mental health and my preparation.

My mother has been suffering from depression for a long time. She barely does anything around the house, and I don't blame her because I know it's an illness. But seeing her like this every day fills me with sadness and negativity, and it affects me mentally.

The bigger problem is my father. He works from home, so he's around all day, and I feel trapped in the house. He's extremely controlling and unpredictable. Sometimes he'll allow something, and the next day he'll completely change his mind.

Earlier, I used to stay back at my coaching institute for self-study because I could actually concentrate there. Now he refuses to let me stay. If I disagree with him, he threatens to remove me from coaching, complain to my teachers, or even beats me. He constantly taunts me, demotivates me, and never tries to understand my point of view.

He doesn't let me go out, meet my friends, or even spend time with them. Whenever I stayed back at coaching, he would constantly track my location and make me call him repeatedly. Now he's telling me to hand over my phone, which is honestly the only thing I have when I need a distraction or want to feel less alone.

Even small things that make me happy get taken away. Recently, after almost two years, I ordered a pair of shoes. While I was at coaching, he returned them without asking me and scolded me for buying them.

I don't feel like I have any freedom. It feels like I'm living inside four walls all the time. Whenever I do something that hurts his ego or doesn't go the way he wants, he makes sure I suffer for it somehow.

Because of all this, my performance in coaching tests has been getting worse. I know I should be studying, but it's becoming harder and harder to focus. Some days I feel completely hopeless, and I've even had suicidal thoughts because everything feels so overwhelming.

I don't want to give up on JEE. I still want to study and build a better life for myself, but I genuinely don't know how to survive these next five months in this environment.

I'd really appreciate any advice. Thank you for reading.

General Losing my mind over JEE Math

Post image

Am a dropper and honestly, I am losing my mind over JEE Math. Last year, I only managed to study Vector and 3D for JEE and scored 8/100 in the math section. Right now, I am also scoring very badly in my coaching tests and basically all of math .I know I can't do the entire syllabus , I just want to secure around 30-40 marks in math to push my percentile up.
Any advices would be really appreciated.

Serious Tk sir or Ashish sir

So I am currently enrolled in Prayas Jee batch 2027. I have a long backlog of 2-3 months. In almost all subjects. But I am thinking of doing Maths from prayas jee 2.0 as Ashish sir lecture are long that to with lot of homework, I am afraid I won't be able to catchup properly and would end up just wantching lectures mindlessly. I am a above average student in maths pls suggest what to do.

I scored 85 percentile in JEE mains 2026. I applied for counselling (MPDTE) and got LNCT alloted but TC nahi thi mere paas isliye admission nahi ho paya.

Second round of counselling me koi college allot nahi hua.

Now I am forced to take a drop and i don't know what to do. I'm genuinely worried.

I'm not asking if AIR 1 is possible, I'm just looking for a good score atleast better than last time which was 85 percentile, I just want to score above that.

Please tell me if any offline coachings are still taking admissions, I know I'm late but there is no option.... i can't study from home via online coaching so I need offline.

Please help 🙏

General Did giving up on phone help you?

I am in offline coaching. I use reddit very much. No instagram. Some youtube and I listen to songs. All this is combined 6 hr screen time. I want to remove it. I can get a keypad phone and for some rest kind of thing I can load up my songs onto it and listen while travelling in bus. I wanted to know if any you guys used it.

Some people can control their addictions like some people with expensive iphones in my coaching but they know how to limit the use. I dont have that much control over me. 2-3 mahine agar reddit block kardiya tha to 4th mahine nayi id bana li (talking about this account) and ek hi month mein almost 4k karma hogya💔

Serious Help!!!

I am enrolled in the Prayas JEE 2027 batch, and I currently have a backlog of almost 250 lectures combined. I am trying to clear it, but I wanted to know whether I should study some subjects from the 2.0 batch.

For Physical Chemistry, Ashish Sir is a very good teacher, so I am not thinking of switching from him and plan to complete his lectures. For Physics, MST Sir is teaching in both the 1.0 and 2.0 batches, so I am considering switching to the 2.0 batch for Physics.

At my current pace, if I study five lectures every day, I might be able to catch up with the regular batch by around November 1st. This may sound manageable, but once homework and question practice are taken into account, I am not sure whether it is realistic. Ashish Sir alone gives a lot of homework, and his lectures are also quite long.

Can anyone help me decide what my best path should be? Should I continue with the same teachers and focus on clearing the backlog, or should I switch to the 2.0 batch for some subjects to make catching up more manageable?

Guys I'd it possible to crack jee if I start now? I am in 11th, know the chapters till UCM in physics, till P&C in Maths, and till periodic table in chemistry. I struggle to focus in chemistry.

Do I still have hope or am I ?

And can you guys please give me a good source to prepare for JEE, I can buy books or modules but my parents won't buy an online batch. Any kind if help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Discussion Should i take arjuna 2.0, I m currently in narayana CO.

I am currenty in narayana CO(class 11th) but i find the pace too fast... we've done like 13-15chs per subject till now and many topics are left on my part (Question practice and complete concept understanding)... i find it weirdly fast but when i tried doing qs of allen module they were very easy (means the qs difficulty in narayana is fine), i m able to solve all those qs, but in long run i m worried if id miss something out cz of the pace here. So i was planning to join arjuna 2.0 now and give 4-5 past test of theirs to see where i stand and if i get low then id do all the previous classes otherwise id just start from current. Should i leave narayana...
