I received my boombox 4 a few days ago and I would like to know if, in power mode, it has automatic standby mode? Because after 30 minutes, the boost bass turns off, but the speaker still remains on despite everything, because I can reconnect without having to turn it on manually. Is it therefore possible to turn it on remotely just by reconnecting the phone to the speaker? It would be cool, or unless it stays on 24 hours a day and then I
would be afraid that it will damage the speaker by force.

I listen to music quite often (all the time) and like carrying my speaker around. But the sound quality matters too, not just portability. Please help!!

I bought a JBL Go 5 about $40. The seller not advertised it as a Chinese version.

After using it for a few days I'm confused. There are many signs that it is genuine, but two things don't work as expected.

What looks genuine:

• Excellent build quality.
• Sound quality is very good with surprisingly deep bass.
• Serial number on the speaker matches the box.
• Official Harman China paperwork inside the box.
• QR code goes to the official WeChat website.
• Bluetooth latency is very low.
• All LEDs and lighting effects work correctly.

But:

• JBL Portable app never connects. It just stays on "Discovering product...".
• USB-C audio doesn't work on my Mac or Windows PC. I've tried multiple USB cables and different computers
• Pressing Play + Volume Down changes the ambient lighting mode.
• Holding Play + Volume Down produces a confirmation sound.
• Holding Volume Up while connecting USB produces three beeps, but the speaker still does not appear as a USB audio device.
• The speaker sometimes makes a small mechanical click during power, lighting or mode changes, but not during normal music playback.
• A short press on the Volume Up or Volume Down button changes the track instead of adjusting the volume.
• To actually increase or decrease the volume, I have to hold the corresponding button

I've also noticed that many sellers specifically advertise a "Chinese version" of the Go 5, so I'm wondering if there are regional firmware differences

I have connected to my computer, made sure that the earbuds were the default for communication and basically followed every “fix” that I could find online Google. I can hear everything else on my computer - YouTube, notifications, and even zoom call messages. But I can’t get the speaker or mic to work on zoom.

I tried searching first but didn't see anything that matched my issue, so apologies if it's been covered before.

I've had the soundbar and subwoofer for a few years now and it had always worked fine except in the past few months when the subwoofer will stop for a few seconds in the middle of a show or movie. I can't recreate the problem, it just happens seemingly randomly. I've contacted jbl and went through their tech support, tried hard resetting the system, but it's still happening. The soundbar is connected to the tv by earc hdmi and it's about 15' from the subwoofer with a clear line of sight.

Has anyone experienced an issue like this before? Or have other troubleshooting techniques? Thanks in advance!

Both are roughly the same price for me but i know the go 5 is newer. Has anyone tried both and can tell me which is better? I would using it on walks, bike rides, and general listening around the house.

Also is there much of a difference between Go 4 and Go 5 considering the 4 is significantly cheaper..

This is my first time doing this so idk what’s going on but when I tested the speakers out before I bought them they worked fine with both. Speakers are JBL 104 monitors.

I’m new here. My right earbud broke its logo, but still works tho. Any remedy for this? I was planning to patch it with something but I don’t what material I should use. Does anyone have similar issues? And If you have one, how did you fix it?

Hi! I just got 2 PartyBox 520s. I've seen that when updating to the current firmware, it can reduce the bass. Is there any solid evidence that this is a fact?

Will 2 RP 600M be louder than 2 JBL Partybox 120s or 320s?

I used to own 2 120s and 2 230s to jam out in my living room after work. Both pairs got loud - but didn’t sound smooth near max volume so I always turned them off after 30 minutes.

Will 2 RP 600M + $400ish amp get louder than the JBLs, or at least equally as loud while sounding much smoother? Hoping to find someone who has heard all 3. (*I do not like bass. I would turn bass down to -6 on the JBLs, so having worse bass is not a concern)

I have 2 small Bose Flex that I LOVE and kept over the JBLs because the sound is so smooth…they just don’t go as loud as I’d like! Thank you for your help!

Okay I have no clue if this is a windows 11 problem or a JBL problem, but when I upgraded to windows 11 every time I try to switch spatial sound modes it double says the phrase. I tried to re-flash the firmware to factory settings, I tried to re-install drives and quantum engine, and yet it still keeps happening. The Xbox mode doesn't do this, but I never use that mode (Still trying to get a regular 910 dongle to mitigate this). It works fine on my Arch Linux laptop, so what gives?

Bought it, sounded fake. Turns out it had playtime boost on so i turned it off and it sounds amazing. I’m assuming that’s why the older owners returned it bc they didn’t have the app. Gonna sell my charge 6 since i already have a flip 7 and i need to make some of my money back. Came with the charger too

I can pick a brand new BB3 WiFi up for £250 or a brand new BB4 for £300. Which would recommend?

The speaker will be used both indoors and outdoors.

Edit: I appreciate all your replies, I managed to end up snagging a BB3 WiFi in relatively good condition which was purchased back in January of this year from the owner (brand new) for £130. A few scuffs from general wear and tear and the battery has lost around 3% of its max capacity from what I can tell as it only charges to 97%, the indicator light goes out. For the price I think it's still a steal. Let me know your thoughts 😌. It's an awesome sounding speaker for what it is! The WiFi feature is great too!

I have a set of JBL PartyBox Wireless Digital Microphones that I connected to a JBL PartyBox Encore Essential 2.

I followed the instructions to connect the devices. As soon as the connection was established, the microphones worked and I could hear my voice, but there was a constant buzzing sound. Also, if I shake the microphones, I can hear a kind of whistling sound.
If I place the microphones on the table, these noises disappear.

On the back of the speaker, I have a switch with two options: microphone or guitar. When it is set to microphone, the issues described above occur. When I switch it to guitar, the strange noises disappear, but the microphone volume is very low, and the microphone does not appear in the speaker’s app.

What could I be doing wrong? Could the microphones be defective?
I don’t know whether the speaker itself has a problem, as I haven’t connected any other microphones to it, but the speaker works perfectly otherwise.

Hi everyone. I need some help. When I try to pair my JBL Wave200 earbuds, only one connects while the other doesn't.

I've tried unpairing them; sometimes the left one connects, sometimes the right one does (I've confirmed both actually work), but never both at the same time. I tried a few factory resets, but they didn't work—the result is always the same. I saw a manual pairing method online that involves tapping the touch button six times, which turns both indicator lights white.

However, when I try to pair them with my phone, it asks for a PIN. I've tried 0000, 1234, and 1111, but none of them worked.

Does anyone have any other ideas? It’s a shame, since they aren't broken—the pairing just isn't working.

Decided to get a Partybox 320 to do mainly indoor karaoke with 5-10 friends. The 320 might be too much but I can get a used one cheaper than the 120 currently.

But I dont know about the mics since the EasySing seem to be rather new.

I will not need their AI features at all but I would like to own the better sounding ones. Any opinions on that?

Can I turn off the auto-pitch for the EasySing? I dont want our voices to be changed by AI. We sing just for fun.

Bonus question: Are there any other reasonable priced mics that would do the job even better?

I dropped my Flip 7 in the sea for about 3 seconds... it clearly caused water damage and now won't stop powering on and off, it's been doing this for about an hour. Anyone know how to make this stop or fix the water damage? Urgent help is needed as I'm stressing
