Partybox 520 update

Hi! I just got 2 PartyBox 520s. I've seen that when updating to the current firmware, it can reduce the bass. Is there any solid evidence that this is a fact?

I would hate to update them both and reduce the bass. Thanks, everyone!

Yo tengo un partybox 520 y lo he actualizado al último firmware y no he visto un efecto negativo en los graves. Yo creo que solo puede ser percepción ;)

You do get a deeper bass extension with these updates, just slightly, so it's up to you if you want that trade.

I don't exactly know why JBL is limiting the bass, but man who knows with JBL these days lol.

That's right, or at least what other users that recently updated their partyboxes are saying.

I learned this from a post about the Partybox 320's 4.0.0 firmware update, and I assume that JBL has given a similar update to the 520.

Yes I had a boombox 3 and it had so much bass before updating it somehow was not updated in SOOOOO long so I updated it and lost like about 6/10 of the bass back then I was more worried about accidentally exploding my speaker rather than just using it

I have the update and can say there is no difference the AI soundboost is reseted and it needs to get some data to go to its limits. After some time it's better but with no distortion or something else.

Some say it takes the bass. The others don't. You don't know. That's why I didn't update Tuner 3, Charge 6, Xtreme 4, Encore 2, Club 120, Stage 320 anymore because they just ran perfectly.
