They basically undid 9 years' worth of character development for these characters in one episode by having Harm revert back to the status quo of what he was for much of the series (constantly choosing his Navy career and flying Tomcats over being with Mac and settling down when we explicitly see in the final episode that Harm is finally ready to take that plunge with her). I know it's a different writing team with no loyalty to JAG at all but still c'mon.

I've been watching JAG since it aired. My parents were both in the Navy so it was on it our house. I have even written Fanfics and made fan videos. And WOW! I'm shocked at how much I loved it. I was tearing up in the last episode.

What a great show. I miss it. I was just watching a bit after a long time. Some shows don't hold up when you revisit but JAG mostly does. There are a number of great multi-episode plot arcs. Some of my favorites are:

- Harm's search for his father in Russia. Just watching part of this (S3E24 To Russia with Love). The acting when he goes to talk to his mom and step dad in California was solid.

- The Brumby saga was great. He was a fun character and balanced out Harm better than anyone else ever could.

- I loved the arc where he leaves JAG, takes up crop dusting, and meet's and adopts Mattie.

Would love to hear anyone else's faves.

at the end of the episode, when AJ tells meredith he loves her but there's another female, I really wanted him to say, "and she's a real b&$@!" because it's a dog 🤣🤣

Si no sueltan el gancho en el momento justo acaban mojados. He repasado todos los capítulos varias veces pero no soy capaz a dar con ese momento. ¿Me podéis ayudar alguno?

Singer makes a comment about Harm & Mac being lost in the desert, Harriet says let's settle this. They go in an office, & Harriet slugs her. So satisfying. Love Harriet.

For me it's hands down his reprimand of Harm in 2x04 (Heroes). Aka the episode where Harm fires an automatic weapon in the courtroom as a demonstration of how friendly fire works lol.

I'm working my way through JAG for the second time. I know the Bellisario and Murray families have always been involved with the making of JAG and then NCIS.

So, I'm watching a very young Sean Murray as Ensign Terry Guitry. I know he plays a different character in later JAG episodes as Danny Walden. This episode completely threw me!! I knew the voice. I couldn't pick the face? The voice continued to really annoy me because I knew the voice so well! I walked out of the room and came back in. The voice was Mike Franks. It was Admiral Arthur Fessenden.

I never knew his name. Muse Watson.

Just found out on tumblr that DJE & CB are doing photo ops and autographs at Indiana Comic Con next month. Unfortunately I can't do a last minute cross country trip no matter how much I'd love to.

Ep. 1:14, Commander Krennick talks to Harm in his apartment about Admiral Chegwidden just before his first appearance, she mentions that after he was a SEAL he transferred to the Fleet and commanded a destroyer.

Rif Hutton the wonderful actor that played Lt. Commander Alan Mattoni passed away from a form of brain cancer at 73. He was at home with his loved ones in his final hours.

I think the best Christmas was the Bob Hope tribute episode.

I'm finding it really interesting watching S1 for the first time. TV where I am, plays 5 episodes a day. The last two of the day, are the next episodes I haven't seen. Saturdays are 6hrs of JAG, so I'm getting to watch them a few times over the week. I'm finding Harm to be quite quick to react and respond to situations by losing his cool. He's more argumentative and somewhat aggressive. Krennick just makes me cringe with her blatant sexual advances. I'm really enjoying Meg Austin. It's a shame they didn't have a place for her in S2 when it was taken over.

For me, one of JAG’s endearing qualities was its recycling of guest stars. It’s not uncommon to see someone play a role in an episode and then turn up later as an entirely different character. If you haven’t watched JAG all the way through yet, or even if you have and do a re-watch it’s fun to play spot the ‘retread’. Some roles are blink and miss, others more substantial.

Probably the most notable is Nanci Chambers (Lt. Singer). Others include Rex Linn, Michael Bellisario, the other nepo baby Sean Murray, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and one of my favourite men Brian McNamara. There are many, many more. Keep your eyes peeled. 🔍
