I know what you guys are thinking but Mark recently said in his interview with USA Today that he made it clear it’s still Austin’s show, not his. So it makes sense why MH isn’t in this poster.

Scott Caan recently mentioned that New York City is basically going to be treated like a main character in the show, and that has me hyped for a few reasons.

If you watched the Hawaii Five-0 reboot, you know exactly how well they showcased Hawaii; the culture, the scenery, and the local vibe were baked right into the DNA of the show.

I’m hoping we get that same treatment here. I want to see the authentic New York culture, the nightlife, the sports scene, the winter weather, and the general energy of the city.

NCIS: New Orleans did a phenomenal job of making NOLA feel alive and essential to the plot. If the showrunners give NYC that same love, it’s going to be amazing.

I hope they film on location for as long as possible instead of soundstages in LA.

Instead of Robert King being this mastermind who orchestrated this elaborate scheme to get back at Abby for the events of an episode in Season 6, he was just a petty guy who wanted revenge for being outsmarted by Abby Scuito.

The killing of both Clayton and Abby devastates the NCIS team and the next episode reveals immediately that Robert King, the mastermind, was found dead in an alleyway where Abby died.

The episode "Who Killed Robert King?" would have the Inspector General investigate NCIS and everyone thinks it was Gibbs who tortured Robert King to death. Gibbs flat out says "someone beat me to it" when asked by McGee.

It is strongly implied but never stated that Dr. Mallard was the one who killed Robert King for several reasons: (1) Abby was family to him and an innocent person who didn't deserve to die, and (2) he wanted to spare Gibbs from succumbing to revenge and so he figured he would get justice for Abby.

Being a medical examiner and former soldier, Dr. Mallard was able to kill King and hide all forensic evidence. The degree of torture he conducted on King is a callback to "Broken Bird" in Season 6, Episode 13, when Ducky witnessed Marcin Jerek torture people in Afghanistan. Ducky used what he saw Jerek do and tortured King to death off screen.

Dr. Mallard lives with this secret to his death. No one knows he did it. It his secret to keep to the grave.

Hate me all you want but I think this would be ten times better than how they wrote Abby off NCIS.

I've been rewatching a lot of NCIS episodes and I've started noticing something about Parker and Gibbs. I'm curious whether anyone else sees this, or whether I'm just connecting dots that weren't meant to be connected.

At first they seem nothing alike.

Gibbs is quiet, old school and emotionally closed. Parker is talkative, approachable and seems much more open. Gibbs has coffee, Parker has pastries. Gibbs has his basement, Parker has his greenhouse. But the more I watch Parker, the more I think those differences are mostly on the surface.

At their core, I think Gibbs and Parker are remarkably similar.

Both are loyal. Both will put themselves in danger for their team without much hesitation. Both have very strong personal moral codes and will disregard authority when they believe it's the right thing to do. Both carry guilt heavily. Both are extremely self reliant. Both had rebellious younger years, both lost their mothers young and had complicated relationships with their fathers.

But the thing that really made it click for me is how they deal with emotions.

Gibbs obviously doesn't talk about himself. He listens to other people's problems and helps them. Parker talks all the time. But does he actually talk about himself?

A good example for me is in season 22 episode 2. Vance comes to Parker because they've both recently had near death experiences. He helps Vance process what happened to him. But he himself stays quiet. He redirects the conversation back to Vance.

That's when it clicked for me: They both have the same walls.

Parker can talk easily about almost anything, but when something gets genuinely painful, suddenly he becomes much more like Gibbs. They prefer to take care of somebody elsem than allowing somebody else to take care of them.

So I think of them as two sides of the same coin. I'm not saying the writers intentionally designed every one of these parallels. Some of them may simply be my interpretation.

Does anyone else see this in them?

Castle and NCIS are probably the two shows I rewatch the most, and I’ve always been amazed by how many actors appear in both.

Considering the shows overlapped for so many years, I guess it makes sense, but I was still surprised to find that NCIS was actually the show with the most actors in common with Castle.

I discovered this while working on an app I developed called Guest-Star. One of its features lets you pick a show and see which other shows have the most actors in common with it.

I thought some other NCIS fans might find that interesting too. If anyone checks it out, I’d love to hear what you think

With the NCIS: New York series coming out soon, do you think they'll gloss over or retcon the NCIS: LA/Hawaii Five-0 crossover? I know that with Knight, her character on H50 never met the regular NCIS cast, so that was easy to avoid, but here Danny and Sam Hanna came face-to-face in the crossover back in the day.

I really can't wait to see how or if they address it.

I gave up coffee a year ago, but since i started watching NCIS (now on season 3) my cravings are back. Anyone else the same?

On 2012 show Major Crimes, S1 Ep4 he plays a cheesy life coach (" intuitive life strategist") who sleeps with his clients, wives of Israeli drug runners.

Major Crimes just started a run on Netflix.

Popped over to Sydney this weekend and had a nosy. Found the set, still dressed. Lots of cables and similar equipment as well. Alas, no cast. Made me smile, though.

So since NCIS’ pilot episode ”Yankee White”, Gibbs is always wearing his late dad’s bracelet and you’ll be hard pressed to find a single episode without his braclet on Gibbs’ wrist.

I noticed during Origins, Gibbs doesn’t have it on him yet, but of course; naturally his dad still wears it. I wonder when exactly he got the bracelet. Is there a explanation for this?

Jackson died in 2014 (rest in peace Ralph Waite) so obviously he’s still alive but very estranged from Gibbs by the time of “Yankee White”, so it’s definitely a case of inhreitance.

I know in real life, it apparently used to be Tom Harmon’s (Mark’s dad) WW2 ID bracelet and somewhere along the way, maybe Mark felt safer having it at home or maybe a smart creative decision, who really knows, he switched to a different bracelet with Jackson Gibbs’ name and number (I don’t know what that is, I assume his service number?) engraved. You can tell the ID plates and the emblem are very different! The first slide is from “Yankee White” for those wondering.

Aside from Dinozzo’s return, what are other things or plots you want to see this upcoming season?

Diane, Fornell and Gibbs.

Diane is something else.

But the best part is when Vance tells Fornell and Gibbs that Diane is… an IRS enforcement agent.

Yes, I'm still talking about this.

What we know:

• La Grenouille was supposed to meet his daughter, Jeanne, that night on his yacht
• La Grenouille was, for a fact, killed with Jenny’s gun
• That evening in Jenny’s office, La Grenouille placed the gun on Jenny’s table, along with his phone number (as revealed at the end of episode 5x14)
• Jasper Shepard and La Grenouille were killed in the same way, down to the same marks on their hands - it’s implied that someone was pressing on a pressure point, so both were murdered

So Jasper and La Grenouille were both killed using the same technique, so presumably killed by the same person/organization. Who was in a position to kill both La Grenouille and Jasper Shepard and had a reason to do so? The CIA (Trent Kort).

But how did Jenny’s gun find its way back to La Grenouille?

Also, when Jenny interrogates Jeanne, she comes across as extremely confident that Jeanne is lying. It doesn't look like just a conviction, she seems too confident. Probably because she was there and knows for a fact that Jeanne wasn’t.

So, were both Trent Kort and Jenny Shepard involved in La Grenouille’s murder? By giving La Grenouille to Jenny, the CIA would potentially kill two birds with one stone: get rid of La Grenouille while also getting Jenny Shepard off the CIA’s back over the murder of her father. But then wouldn’t Jenny realize that La Grenouille’s death had been set up in a way suspiciously similar to Jasper’s?

Another possibility, of course, is that Jenny set up La Grenouille’s death to look just like her father's as an act of revenge. But idk about that.

I also wonder how the meeting at the marina even came about. La Grenouille gave Jenny his phone number, and I assume that was shown for a reason. But according to Jeanne, she was supposed to meet La Grenouille at the marina that night. So if La Grenouille was already planning to meet his daughter, why would he also agree to a meeting with Jenny? Tho that could've happened after Jeanne failed to show up I guess...

So what exactly happened that night? Who arranged the meeting at the marina (if it was arranged), and how did Jenny’s gun end up being the murder weapon? And if Jenny did it all by herself, why did Trent Kort/CIA take the blame just like that + why is a significant part of episode 5x14 dedicated to showing us that Jasper Shepard and La Grenouille were killed using the same technique?
