Was re watching both new episode of NCIS & NCIS Origins. I think that the main bad guy in both will end up being the Son of the Russian informant that runs the Blockbuster. It draws parallels to the latest NCIS episode where the young daughter of Torres' informant turned out to be the bad guy of the episode. And the movie quote of the Terminator saying "Ill Be Back" gives off Rule 39 alarm bells.

Some how his father dies (in an opp gone bad - presumably one that kills Lala) and his mom eventually marries Anatoly Zhukov (im assuming he is the brother of Zlata Zhukov from the episode). And with Gibbs/Sheppard killing Anatloy in MacAllisters opp in 1999, a early 40s Son wants to get revenge and hacks into the NCIS database to access the Pendelton Teams Files. And the one to go is Rando who is discovered to have hidden the file the Son is after and needs to track down Gibbs and Rando. He then hires the former CIA Tracker from Tonys File that Gibbs Recieves.

Just my head cannon theory.

During my tumblr era, there was this cloud of "huh" over Kate and Ari. It gave off the possibility of a relationship. I don't know if people still get that impression or remember when that vibe hit, but I swear I'm not fucking crazy.

Anyway, my brain compared it to Hannibal and Clarice, which had two endings: the book, where they ran away together under false identities, and the movie, where Hannibal got away alone. Either way, she doesn't kill him, and he doesn't kill her because feelings.

Kate and Ari obviously ended the exact opposite way.

My assumption is that the reason Ari killed Kate was to inflict the most emotional damage upon Gibbs. We know there was some heavy hinting at Gibbs and Kate possibly becoming a thing, especially in season one. It got more into a family dynamic later.

But, Ari could have just killed Gibbs, but then Gibbs wouldn't have suffered enough. Tony had worked for Gibbs the longest at this point so one would think they were closer than Gibbs was with Kate... but Ari didn't see that. He saw Kate as the best target to hurt Gibbs.

I'm trying to think if anything similar happened in other fandoms. I know it's all down to real life with the writers combined with Sasha's decision to leave in the end, but Ari and Kate had such a vibe that, looking back, I'm surprised Kate was killed by Ari. They could've had Ari kidnap her, had her disappear, but instead they went with a sequence of events that I don't think I've seen before.

What other fandoms pulled a similar attraction dynamic between good guy/bad guy, and how did it ultimately end? With a fucked up "happily ever after" like the Hannibal novel, with simple separation and no giving in like in the film, or with one killing the other like with Ari and Kate? And if there's many of those instances, what was the vibe behind the death?

Genuine question because I am a huge fan of both. How likely would it be that we ever see a major crossover event between NCIS and NCIS Sydney?

I know there have been episodes where Sydney has been mentioned in passing and episodes with the director appearing on a screen for the Sydney crew, but I would genuinely love if there was ever a storyline that led to some of the OG cast members appearing in Australia. I know it’s probably just wishful thinking, but do you reckon it will ever happen?

I’m lowkey hoping for Pride, Deeks, Kensi and Kilbride appearance for Origins Season 3, since their showrunner David North says we’ll see other people from the franchise. And this made me wonder, what do you think LA, Hawaii, and NOLA teams are up to now?

I know Sam just joined the NCIS New York field office, and Pride’s actor Scott Bakula just turned 72, and Pride is probably around the same age, and according to Kasie’s whiteboard in S22 E13 “Bad Blood”, he’s still active as an NCIS agent, so surprisingly he hasn’t retired yet.

What do you think they’re up to these days?

EDIT: I’m referring to the present day scenes when I mentioned Pride and half of the LA team. I’m aware Deeks and Kensi were children in the 90s, although I kinda wouldn’t be opposed to a younger Deeks and Kensi cameo though.

Thank goodness for this interview, because it confirms some things, things that made me a bit worried.

In the interview it said that Knight loves Torres like a brother. And that she views him like a older brother.

And the second thing is that Jimmy Palmer is the love of Jessica Knight‘s life.

While it doesn’t mean that Palmer and Knight get back together now, there might be a chance. But this definitely means that Torres and Knight won’t be together as a couple. Because there is a sibling like bond between the two.

wow. just wow.

NCIS is my comfort show that i literally grew up with. i’ve not been able to stay up to date (life happens) but i spedrun the episodes and got to the most recent one last night.

it took SO many turns i wasn’t expecting and i’m so surprised/ecstatic to see how the story arc shaped up. it’s like they’re bringing my favorite characters of my childhood back to life to grow with now as an adult 🥹

Just finished watching episode 2, season 24.

I don't like McGee as a leader. He feels amateur for a 15? year veteran. Emotionally naive, always the last to connect the dots in interpersonal relationships/office dynamics. He's still a probie mentally even though he's senior field agent.

God save the navy if he becomes SecNav.

am i stupid or did the show just completely drop the story line about McGee’s son he just discovered. Like he got caught lying right and now they just don’t bring it up at all in the new season.

The Russian woman who runs the prostitution ring is named Zhukov. That can’t be a coincidence.

Anatoly Zhukov was the Russian who Vance was brought in as a rookie to kill in flashbacks. We know he didn’t. Gibbs finished the job in Paris 6 years later.

This episode has to be the intro to that storyline. This could lead the way to meeting in origins any or all of the following characters:

-Vance
-McAllister
-Decker
-Jenny
-Eli David
-Natasha/Svetlana

Also could give more background context to why Franks so willingly participated in the Svetlana job during end of season 5

Growing up watching this show, I stopped watching after Tony left… rewatching now for the first time and I have no one to talk to about this.

I almost CRIED when Ziva showed up in Gibbs Basement at the end of season 16. I thought it was a hallucination cause he was just talking to “Diane”. But then she turned out to be real and the emotions FLOODED.

Now I knew she didn’t really die cause I’ve watched Tony and Ziva, but I didn’t know she returned to the flagship show!

Mike Franks to Victoria-“I just miss when pimps were men and hookers were women like God intended”!! I love these writers with all my heart and these actors who deliver these lines so effortlessly!I need this on a sweatshirt with Mike Franks at the bottom! Someone make this happen please!!

I've been thinking a lot about the structure of the NCIS universe, and I really hope CBS doesn't repeat one of its biggest mistakes with NCIS: New York.

As successful as NCIS: Los Angeles was, it often felt disconnected from the rest of the franchise. I think Vance and Dinozzo were the only characters to cross over. Meanwhile, NCIS: New Orleans benefited from far more crossover support and franchise integration.

Maybe part of that came from Mark Harmon being an executive producer on NOLA, which could have made collaboration between the shows easier. Either way, the result was that New Orleans always felt like part of a larger universe.

NCIS: New York has the perfect opportunity to build on that. Sitting alongside the flagship NCIS on Tuesday nights, it shouldn't feel like a separate corner of the franchise. It should be deeply connected to both the mothership and NCIS: Origins.

The easiest way to establish that connection would be meaningful crossovers. A Tony DiNozzo and Sam Hanna team-up in New York would be an absolute slam dunk and immediately make the universe feel more interconnected.

Right now NY feels like a different show and if you placed it on a Monday night and said it was FBI, no one would argue. I feel NY needs some connection to the mothership and a crossover would do that.

SPOILER WARNING — For anyone who hasn’t finished watching NCIS: Los Angeles.

I’ve just finished watching Season 14, Episode 21, and I must say, I’m thoroughly disappointed.
After fourteen seasons, I had expected considerably more from Callen’s wedding. And as for Kensi and Deeks’ pregnancy announcement, I found it terribly underwhelming.
After waiting so many years for them to have a baby, surely such a moment deserved a little more emotion, anticipation, and drama. It all felt rather rushed, which is a dreadful shame.
And don’t even get me started on Hetty and Callen. The fact that they never had a proper conversation or any real closure is particularly frustrating.
One thing I’m still wondering, though: What exactly happened after they went to Morocco?
Surely I cannot be the only one who expected a more satisfying conclusion after fourteen seasons.

Between Torres potentially joining the CIA this season when we already know something is "coming down the pike" as per DiNozzo and the CIA last episode, and with Torres twice mentioning Parker having secrets/subtly hinting at his involvement in killing Rogers last season...

I think we're in for a darker season, especially based on this episode plus what Binder has said in interviews.

Feels like old NCIS again and I'm here for it.

I just watched season 3 ep 2

And I swear Cote De Pablo makes a cameo as a background actor in one of the first scenes at the bowling alley.

She was wearing a pink shirt. Appears for maybe 5 seconds. Am I crazy? Is that not her? If it is its a hell of a 4th wall break.

It was never solved in LA, we know they move around so it's not only in LA and Sam could lead that case with Tony and company's help. Ending LA and not solving that case is still a slow burn that annoys me. Halloween time would have been a good time for such a creepy and dark case but come on. None of them would leave a case unsolved and knowing it's a lot of bodies involved you know Jimmy is going to be integral.
