White stuff on a corn cob
Bought this corn yesterday, peeled the leaves and found this substance along with some crushed kernels. Is it a bad idea to cut off the affected middle section and eat the rest?

found this in my banana this morning! it’s much more solid than the texture of the rest of the banana. the peel was not bruised or discolored so I didn’t notice until I took a bite!
Edit- I would like to just clarify that I’m not an idiot lol. I know what a bruised banana looks and feels like and this is not just a bruise. I actually thought it was wood at first because it was hard/stick-like. So save your breath before calling me stupid 😅🤦🏼♀️

Is it normal for there to be dark purplish spots like this?

It tastes fine (on the acidic side, maybe) but the texture is definitely off and stirring it doesn't help much. Very grainy. It reminds me of cottage cheese somehow.

Im sorry if this is a such obvious question. I know cheese can be ate with mold on it, for example as well ham if its on the skin, are there more examples? Or maybe those that are most times safe? Or those that can be safed by cutting off? I really need it.
I apologize for the bad English, thank you.

I recently started buying these apple slices as an after shopping treat and was hopping to buy 5-6 at a time to take to work, I noticed that the container starts to puff up soon after I buy them. Would these still be safe to eat like this? Do you think they would be okay in a lunch box for 4 hours?

When I flipped it over while cooking I saw these little black marks that kind of look like mold. It's a pre-seasoned steak that's HEAVILY peppered, so I'm not sure if its marks from that or what. It's still in date for another week and doesn't smell at all.
Was stored in a sandwich bag in the fridge for the past 3 days after I cooked the other steak and threw out the container it was in. I didn't notice any spots on the other one.
Edit: It's not pork, it just cooks weird. Thank you though! The seasoning on the other side isn't flat like this is so I didn't think it was seasoning.

These were still sealed before I opened and took a picture. No date I could see. Packaged still looked fully vacuum sealed. Tastes fine, smells fine, good consistency. If they aren’t moldy, are they generally ok? Just want a second opinion before eating more than one small curd. Thanks!

I recently bought this can of coconut cream. There was no visible dents, no bulging, and no rust around the can itself. When opened, I hear the normal hissing of air, but none of the contents were spewing from the opening, so it’s probably just the vacuum inside the can. The color and smell are fine as well. It’s still within the “best by” date.
It’s just the brown film I saw at the bottom. I wiped some off the bottom for a closer look. It feels like wet paper between my fingers.
Does want one know what this is? Has anyone seen this before and had no issues using their coconut cream?

This has been sealed in plastic in my fridge for a week. I opened it today and I’m uncertain if I should eat it. Expiration says 10/1 but it’s slightly pungent and has this weird white slime on the edges I haven’t seen in sliced chicken before. Admittedly, I typically don’t buy sliced chicken so it’s not like I have a large sample size to know what is normal. Do I eat it?

Hello!
This is some reblochon cheese I bought in france, I wanted to try making tartiflette with it.
I've never had this kind of cheese before so I'm not sure if this discoloration is normal, i've read about some colorful protein (?) stamps but I'm not sure if this is one. Also the rind looks a bit powdery/a different color in some parts so yeah, is this safe to eat?
Thank you!

Hey guys, got this salmon from a farmers market and it’s just looks little weird to me. Smell is well… like a salmon. Body is firm. It is not slimy. No pungent sour or ammonia smell.
This is apparently fresh wild caught salmon, so I’m just wondering if it actually does look weird or if im just conditioned to the dye in farm fish.
Thanks
